As long as they have sculpins for the evening sculpin hatch up on the Quinoa river! Gotta get close tho, no casting any more than 2-300 yards. Short leaders are fine too , 18-19 feet with steel tippet is plenty.
I don't care about the flies that I fish that don't catch, I care about the good 72% of flies that I buy that I never even fish. They either don't make it in the box, I find out I already had 9 of that size and color in my box or I wonder what in the hell was I thinking when I bought this thing??
I do find it funny that fly shops have hundreds of different flies yet only 10% of them are worth a damn. I'm all about trying new things but not when it comes to flies. I bet Hank is an egg pegger only ties on egg patterns and the occasional zebra midge all year round especially when he guides. I bet he is out snappin eggs right now. haha
Come and see me at the fly shop ( I don't know if I'm allowed to say which shop) And I'll set you up with flies that are on it dog gone it! No returns though! 😅

Well, isn’t that what most fly fisherman do when they retire ,they open up a fly shop and sell all the flies that they bought over the last 40 years ?
