    But you are correct about niching down for an income and referrals.

    What if you feel like a fraud because you don't have too many happy things? Clients don't want to hear about how I lost my husband to cancer, which is why I don't know how to share personal stories anymore. Taking pictures in my house feels impossible because living with grief, anxiety, depression, and being a widow and single mom to littles who suffer with the same things. I don't know how to bring out the happy anymore. I also don't want to repel clients.

      Sorry for your loss. I wonder if losing your husband could be incorporated into your story about how important portraits are? Many people can relate to the loss of a loved one whether it was through death or divorce. You don't have to do your personal brand photos in your house, you can do them in a studio or outside.
