I don’t believe Pedro realizes the reach that interview had. His and yours live got over 8k views. But take those 8k watchers and say they talk to 5 people, now you got 40k saying hey wait what’s this TD talk about 🤔. Then those 40k talk, you get my point. I’ve had 7 dashers approach me about becoming a TD next month, I didn’t bring it up they did. I never bring it up because I don’t want the competition. Next month will be interesting, I’m going for as close to 100% as I can because I have a feeling I’m going to need it. I don’t think he realizes exactly what he did yet having you on and bringing this info to light. DD is loving this I’m sure, they want everyone a TD because they are getting a record number of orders delivered, so they aren’t going to change anything. More orders delivered = more company profits
I do get better orders as TD but it is not the reason I go for it every month. Dash Now button is the ONLY reason you absolutely need TD. The app crashes all the time kicking you off. Not TD you just lost money the rest of the day. I don't have to juggle pause and unpause to keep my dash going during schedule. Mess that up you lose your schedule losing money. Show up for ypur schedule late (life happens) you are out the rest of the day losing money. Many zones you will have to be ready at Midnight to schedule your dash. Oops you nodded off. Didn't get there in less than a minute. You didn't get a spot in the schedule. You just lost money. Oh and the bots are snatching up the schedule before you even have a chance. Top dasher increased my monthly pay by 30% just because I no longer lose shifts. Oh and the last thing about TD is you can still schedule in the app. Absolutely do so because it takes slots away from those non TD allowing less drivers in the area.
If DD would like the TD program to affect more than just the final few days of the month, and yet, keep TDs enthusiasm up about the program and the way it is currently set up (able to be highly selective until the last few days)… I wonder if DD might be able to stagger the TD award throughout the month. Spread “hell week” around. (Well, hell week to drivers, heaven week to DD, I would imagine. lol) DD would get more orders picked up throughout the month, and TDs would get to keep their month-long “dash now” & preferential benefits. The only difference being - what day of the month any one dasher’s month of TDing begins (the 1st, the 8th, etc) I imagine there could be a way to work that out: Maybe a snapshot at the end of every week. Those who have not already been awarded TD for a month would be able to try by the end of the following week, etc (to be awarded TD for a month from that point on, until that point is reached the following month). We know that they already take weekly snapshots in order to award “early access scheduling” for the following week to those eligible. I’m not saying make TD only a weekly award. No, keep it a monthly award for individual dashers. But stagger those monthly offerings to start each week of the month (for those not already awarded TD). ~~~~~~ Sorry if I’m not explaining this notion well. But I’m trying to imagine a win-win for both dashers and DD… in which DD gets a wide range of orders filled throughout each month (and not just during the last week of the month) AND TDs continue to keep all their previous benefits while still only committing a few days to going for very high AR. With no need for the current pilot program (and “live AR” tracking) 🤪😊.
But, if as mentioned in your video, TDs still keep their higher ranking for preferential offerings, followed by those keeping up AR for live tracking for the pilot program, but who are not yet TDers, that would be helpful to know. In that case, it would be much less confusing if DD would restore the content onto the Top Dasher page that they have removed, and if they would remove the pilot program language from the screens of TDs. Those things are all in a mish-mash currently. I’m guessing DD is not yet sure how they want to go forward on these two programs just yet, including how they are to eventually affect each other (or not).

@@SinCityDeliveries you should make a video of the best vehicle for dashing. I am thinking of buying a new Toyota Camry hybrid. 50+ MPG both city and highway. I am also @ 18 MPG city with my V6 Rav4. Gas savings will help pay a good part of it. 👍✌️
