That was such a fun discussion. I was working so I didn't catch the liveshow but I'm glad I watched it. Christina Henry is one of my favorite authors. She can be a little hit or miss for me but I've given more than one of her books 5⭐. Alice was my first and I loved it! I prefer her storybook reimaginings but also loved Near the Bone! I gave this book 4⭐. And it was the ending that dropped a star for me. The villainous monologue was too over the top for me. I kept picturing a cartoon villain twirling his mustache like he's so much smarter than everyone. Glad Lexie loved it! Fun definitely deserves higher ratings. 😁

I finished the book yesterday and freaking loved it. I loved the Black Mirror vibes of the first one. The Cabin in the Woods vibe of the 2nd one. And the survival story at the end. I felt like it was a short story collection and was completely surprised that it came together at the end, I didn't know it was gonna do that. I was ok with the brief cut off of the stories.
