Just one note: The gentleman mentions that you can make the switch from manual to automatic at "any moment in time." This is not correct. Honda recommends that you bring the machine to a complete stop and then switch from manual to automatic or vice versa. I just bought a '24 Deluxe 700 and love it. Added a rear bumper, hard top, two piece poly wind shield, and rear view mirror. Nice machine.
We are looking at getting one of these for my father in law. He has had multiple surgeries and is in need of something smooth. How have you found the acceleration from a stop and the shifting to be?
@@jonlough3074 This is an incredibly smooth running machine. I typically leave it in automatic, and the shifting is really smooth between gears. That's one thing you get with a Honda as it has a "real" transmission instead of a belt drive. I have really enjoyed my 700-2 so far.
@jasonvanengen5695 thanks for the info! I had a polaris rzr and it had lots of problems. I am a big fan of honda. I have their truck and the africa twin dct. Both have been great.
I have a 2021 700 deluxe. I live on 10 acres, it’s been clutch with utility. A winch and plow blade for winter is awesome. It saved me from pulling the trigger on a truck.
looking into that exact model but red with hard top, full poly windshield, soft rear panel and soft upper doors, i like the tilt steering wheel, seems like it would make it easier to get in and out
What kind of transmission is it? Cvt? Had bad luck with those. The Mahindra Roxor is about 17,000$ as advertised with no “delivery fees”. For that you get a grunty diesel motor and a real manual transmission with manual 4x4. That’s a big selling point to me.
I would argue the pioneer is better overal machine than the mahindra. Plenty of grunt and power to work but also comfortable to drive around for hours, smooth ride
It’s not a duel clutch It’s an automatic 3 speed with a torque converter just a a car. The 1000 is a duel clutch transmission. The 700 transmission is bulletproof for sure. I owned the first year model called the big red. Still same 700 motor and transmission as this 2024. I also have a 2019 roxor it’s a very nice machine for sure. I’m looking to buy a 2024 Honda pioneer 700 deluxe. But will keep the roxor for sure mine is street legal.
I don’t believe they have been released yet but if I were to guess no changes maybe usually when Honda updates their side by side lineup models they post about it
OG rhino was a good machine… before the speed limiter, and before the uncomfortable safety features were added… keep that sucker if its still in good shape..
This is an excellent machine. But if you ever ride with other machines you will be the slowest of all of them. You might think it doesn't matter but I promise you will want more speed.
Bought a 2023 700-2 last year, best decision i ever made. Perfect combo for work and play

I agree

You just sold me on this one, I was going to get the 520.
520 is a machine too… narrow.. like, in a catagory of their own… and they rip..
Bought a new 2020 Polaris ranger and have had nothing but issues and trouble with it.sold it and gonna buy a reliable Honda 700 to replace it

What’s the horsepower and torque?

Did some research. It’s a dual clutch transmission. So not a cvt. That’s good.

Great video! Do you know the changes on the 2024 Pioneer 520 from the 2023 Pioneer 520? And release date? Thank you

Wow, Thank you for the information and quick response!
Dude in manual on the transmission how many gears do you have.
3 speed transmission is geared long won’t shift into second till about 12-14mph
We may get one of these to replace our ancient year 1 Yamaha Rhino.

@@Synic08 that’s the plan for now. She’s had a hard life of work on the farm but still kickin.
