The aircraft models all good, especially the MIG. BTW--They're not Bulgarian but rather, Hungarian markings. Re the car, AK makes a paint stripper you could use. Alternatively, just give it a sanding---perfect for your B&D 🙂Then you could experiment with matt and gloss clear coats straight from the rattle can to smooth out the finish. If nothing else, the charity shop has thanked you for buying, but I'd say you've done okay.

Hi Andy. You have some good charity shops where you live. Most of the one where I live are full of old clothes, old people and tat. I will have to take a closer look from now on. So the models then. The two Spitfires are a good little bargain, you can,t go wrong with a Spitfire. The Citroen is different for sure.but it does have potential. I think that Airfix used to do 1/24 scale tanks and I vaguely remember that they did a Panzer III. So maybe do the Citroen in satin black as a German officers commissioned car parked next to the Panzer III. The its time to look for some figures, I am sure that there some out there, an officer and a tanker in early war uniforms. I used to be a member of a scalextric racing club and we used to put the Airfix 1/32nd scale car bodies on a scalextric car chassis, I did two VW Beetles. A 1960s British jet with the Aston parked next to it would be a nice vignette. Now the Mig21. This will be a nice kit to practice your spray painting on. There are a variety of paint schemes that you could do and the are many aftermarket decal sets out there if you wish to go for something different. Anyway for 24 quid you did alright. Well done buddy.

LOL that little lot took several weeks of searching, though not an issue as i always go for a rummage in the charity shops when i go to town. I'll probs strip the paint on the Citroen and practice extreme rusting, the Aston gloss black as per box, good practice for my icm merc 770 tourenwagen. The MIG for the price is a bargain, using the Indian markings would be interesting.

Great buy for 20 pounds, the Mig is worth that, couple of Spitfires, Good old James Bond Aston Martin . The Citreon is an interesting scale, but certainly a challenge. There are goobs of paint stripping RUclips's about stripping, none of them work very well because you can't tell which kind of paint and how old it is.. You could try a 70 to 90% Alcohol, with tooth brush, , that's the cheapest way. Some of our paint strippers are called Mineral Spirits, ( turpentine could do t but etch the plastic which would be OK), from the tablet screen it looked like Enamels. Give it a good 24 hour soak. Or you could build as is, save it till November and but a firecracker in it for Guy Fawkes :-) The King looks good on that 20 quid note. Our money is so boring. You did well, Cheers Bob
