Without doubt one of the best episodes I've heard and ule always find Fred Gwyne, Robert Dryden usually star in the best programmes, in my biased opinion!!!
Originally broadcast on 17 September 17, 1980, this episode aired a year and a half after the 1979 Three Mile Island accident and five and a half years before the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, and of course, just a little over 35 years after Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. I doubt anyone born around the 1970s and 1980s thought of those bombings as being that proximate to their own lives. It must have seemed like ancient history.
Has anybody when you least I have when you listen to these radio shows when you watch TV you can listen to the TV and pick up on things that they're saying that's out of place but when you see it with your eye you don't hear it

Yes, I thought about Chernobyl through out the story, yesterday was 26th of April, the day when disaster happened 😔. Greetings from 🇸🇮 in Europe.

It sounds like an incomplete story. Nothing more after bringing the gieger counter to dry lake.
