Salamanders Armor Speed painting and freehand flames Guide

- This video is a quick overview how i paint Space Marine (Horus Heresy) Salamanders Armor. It also includes how to paint freehand flames on salamanders power armor shoulder pads
The Base paint job i show in this tutorial needs around 2h.
For the whole mini including OSL spot highlights and basing i needed 3h 50m.

1. Prime the mini Black
2. Base coat the mini by stippling with a Artis Opus - Series D size M brush a mix 1:1:2 of Citadel - Abaddon Black, Citadel - Warpstone Glow and Water
3. Add volumetric highlights by stippling with a Artis Opus - Series D (Size M) brush a mix 1:2 of Citadel - Warpstone Glow and Water
4. Add even smaller volumetric highlights by stippling with a Artis Opus - Series D (Size S) brush a mix 1:1:2 of Citadel - Warpstone Glow and Water, Citadel - Moot Green and Water
5. Base coat the trims of the armor with Vallejo - Copper 77.710
6. Base coat the metal parts with Vallejo - Gunmetal Grey 77.720
7. Base coat all black parts like the Weapon, shoulder pads an Subsuite with Citadel - Abaddon Black
8. Start creating a pattern of freehand flames on the shoulder pads with Citadel - Khorne Red
9. Glaze a shine over the flames with a size of two-thirds of the shoulder pad, into the direction of the bottom with a mix of 1:6 Citadel - Khorne Red and Water
10. Add a smaller version of your flame pattern with Citadel - Mephiston Red
11. Add a even smaller version of your flame pattern with Citadel - Evil Sunz Scarlet
12. Add another tiny version of your flame pattern with Citadel - Wild Rider Red
13. Intensify the shine of the bottom of your flame pattern with Citadel - Flash Gitz Yellow
14. add a small bottom line highlight to your flame pattern with Vallejo - Ice Yellow 70.858
15. Highlight all armor bolts with Citadel - Ironbreaker
16. Add Decals.
17. Overcoat all parts with a mix of 1:2:1 Citadel - Darkoath Flesh Contrast, Citadel - Contrast Medium and Water
18. Shade all copper parts with a mix of 1:1 Citadel - Darkoath Flesh Contrast and Water
19. Paint glowing eyes and all the details you want!
20. Done!

Love this tutorial , def gonna use on my ashen circle . The power armor version with jump packs and and a much different version -ashen circle tartaros terminators with the fire osl on both 😊

Don't worry about it. I will make another guide about this specific topic in the near future including flame. I just have around 2-4h of video editing in the week.
