Great video! I’ve been looking at getting a Terra and am curious about its marketed versatility. I’m looking to race cyclocross, as well as, gravel in the summers. Do you have any experience racing cyclocross on it? If so, did you feel the front end was too slack for tight corners like in cyclocross? Or is it still a sharp handling bike? Thanks!
@@youtubeross Yeah! Only noticed it over the last few days. Can't nail it down to a specific cause. Watched a GCN video that gave multiple causes, ...pedals, saddle post, headset, bottom bracket etc. I read in a review before I bought the Terra that the BB could be noisy. Shall have to go thru a process of elimination I think.
Hi guys, I'm looking into buying a gravel bike, I have the choice between two extremly different bikes, I'd like your opinion: Orbea Terra M30-D 2019 (at quite a bargain) vs Genesis Croix de Fer 20.
I am a little bias as I sell Orbea in a bike shop. I love my Terra its such a fun , versatile bike cant say I know anything about the Genesis . I have 3 Orbea's and another on the way . Great bikes and brand.
dingane no rode most of it. Planning on doing the whole Wicklow Way this summer on the terra 127k of fun. Just road back to Crone forest from where we had started from.
Thanks for response. I ride a lot of gravel/fire roads in Dublin and Wicklow, but at Crone I usually don't follow the Wicklow way to the boardwalk etc. I usually follow the fire road up the side of the Glencree valley.@@youtubeross
@@dingane have you looked at the Orbea Terra , the one in the video is a custom paint job that Orbea do on the frames so you can customise the bike to your style .
Some great gravel there, good vid
Definitely looks more suited to a MTB
WMP for sure , just wanted to see what the terra was capable of.

Hi Ross. Just wondering if you've ever had any creaking issues with the Terra, and if so, what was the remedy?
Nothing that I can think of. Had to redo carbon compound on the seat post. Are you having an noise issue ?

@@ronaldricejr noises can be so annoying. Could even be spoke tension. Try new pedals etc it can be a labour of love trying to sort out bike noises.

Schwalbe G-One 40mm , great tyre.

Well done guys. Did you have to carry your bikes a lot? Also, did you ride back to Dublin on the road? And if so how was it?

@@RichardUpstanding Technically no, but a lot of off-road cycling is also technically not allowed and still happens.
That music is absolutely fucking awful.
