My uncle who lives in Vegas as well himself worked in the Stardust and Rivera casinos as a Security Guard and had numerous interactions with Tony Spilatro(Nicky) and Frank Rosenthal(Ace) he played was on the Jag off guards that got an extra c note he's got a signed poster from Scrocese, Pesci, De Niro, Sharon Stone, and Frank Vincent(Marino)

Pesci provided all the humor; I read somewhere that during the filming of Casino at one of the Las Vegas casinos, the extras in the casino would burst out into fits of uncontrollable laughter as Pesci did his lines, which would ruin the shot and the scene would have to be re-shot which inconvenienced and annoyed Pesci. It’s AMAZING how Pesci was able to keep a straight face and not burst out laughing at his own humorous lines.

Nearly every mobster whose story ended badly for them was due to someone in the crew willing to turn on them for a better offer, whether it was from the authorities or a rival. The only reason Pesci's real life counterpart Tony Spilotro had his downfall was because he lied to his right-hand man about a hit he ordered being sanctioned by the bosses when it wasn't. So when he got busted for that hit and later heard Spilotro wanted him killed despite not talking to the Feds, he ratted him out. Be mindful of the people you step on while on the road to power, because they are now behind you and not too happy.
I heard that they had to use someone else’s hands for that scene, when Nicky unlocks his closet vault. It was because Spilotro was known for having absolutely gigantic hands, and Pesci’s hands were just too small for the scene.👏🏻

The only reason Pesci's real life counterpart Tony Spilotro had his downfall was because he lied to his right-hand man about a hit he ordered being sanctioned by the bosses when it wasn't. So when he got busted for that hit and later heard Spilotro wanted him killed despite not talking to the Feds, he ratted him out. Be mindful of the people you step on while on the road to power, because they are now behind you and not too happy.
