    Hi Grainne.
    Greetings from Belfast in Northern Ireland.
    I’ve been watching your videos while in lockdown here due to the Coronavirus Crisis and I must say you do my wee heart good.
    I love the simple and easy way you show how to bake and cook.
    You’ve converted me!!!
    I’m a 60 year old aul fella and I’ve now made scones for the first time in my life - and they were bloody good!! Lol
    All thanks to you.
    Just wanted to encourage you and let you know your videos are being watched, not only in Canada, but right across the Atlantic back here in good old Belfast.
    It’s lovely to hear your Irish brogue and just your easy going way that gives us the courage to just give it a go with the baking.
    Huge thank you and I look forward to more videos and your channel growing with lots more followers.
    Good luck and God Bless.
    John 😀

    Just found Your channel by chance, but so pleased that I did. My Grandad came from County Wexford in Ireland, and used to make Us the best scone round. I remember watching how He did it, but never knew the recipe. I have tried many a scone recipe in the past, but none have ever been the same, but looking at Your Raisin recipe and this one, I'm pretty sure it is very similar, if not the same. I shall be trying this recipe Tomorrow after I have finished work. Subbed and can't wait to binge watch Your videos.xx

    Thank you for sharing this video. Your scones look so good. I see some make theirs with heavy cream, some use both, what difference does it make using heavy cream vs milk? Thank you!

    I wonder if you can answer a question for me I have made many scones over the years I made your last one the raisin and now I’m gonna try this one soon as I love cranberries. What can I do to keep them soft the second day they always go hard am I doing something wrong

    • @GrawnyasHomeandKitchen
      @GrawnyasHomeandKitchen  4 года назад

      Hi Janet, I usually keep them in a zip lock and then reheat them in the oven, that's the best way, or they freeze well enough. I never reheat in microwave as it ruins the texture. You can also pop them under the grill or toast them. When I had my coffee shop, I never used day old scones as they are definitely the best the day you make them. I used to make scones for another coffee shop and she froze them.

      I'm sure you could, I never have though. I would probably use the same amount. Yes, it was plain flour.
