Love this. I am on the Spirit next week and just booked this Tracy Arm Fjord excursion. So excited. I have always wanted to do it, and every time there have been issues and it did not happen. So, praying all goes well this time for me.
It's funny, on Anthem in April, the pub singer and the piano bar singer had a moratorium on Sweet Caroline. They would each say if you want to hear that song go to the others performance but neither would actually do it. It was pretty funny.

We were able to see Hubbard up close from Holland America's westerdam last week because the weather cooperated and the ice field was clear. The cruise ship got almost as close as the excursion boat. The calving was spectacular and sounded like a thunderstorm.

Amazing footage guys! Did you book this pre cruise or is it only offered once onboard? I have been checking cruise excursions on my sailing daily since I booked and it is not yet available. If booked pre cruise, how many days until you sailed did it become available?
We booked it about a week ahead after seeing how little of the glacier we saw while onboard Splendor, hah. It should be available well ahead of the cruise, I would imagine!!

I have a question that I would love your advice. I’m heading to Alaska on carnival sprit and I’m booking the Tracy arm forge boat my time is either 1 or 4 and now it’s 250.00 a person. In your opinion would there be an advantage to either time?
That's awesome! No specific advantage to either that we can think of, other than the 1pm time slot not conflicting with dinner, ha ha... that's probably the one we would do!! :P

For us, May for low costs with decent whale action, but August for bear and salmon activity, though with higher costs.

Yes it does. That's how I can catch the whales breaching occasionally otherwise they would be hard to do. Haha.
