    Igor, I am very pleased to report that I played a game a couple hours after watching/studying this video today. I used this strategy when I came under an aggressive attack, and it resulted in my opponent's resignation on move 16. Thanks to you, I believe I became a much stronger player today. Fischer rarely got closer to Morphy than here. He did once say Morphy was the greatest of them all. He's probably right. It takes a lot of confidence and talent to play like, burning all of your bridges as you go along.

    • @DexterHaven
      @DexterHaven 2 года назад +2

      Yeah, I like the Vienna gambit opening where you lose three pawns to get a good attacking position. It reminds me of Morphy's style and the burning of bridges, as you say. Hoping you won't miss those pawns in the endgame, because you'll get the checkmate before then.

    First off, Fischer is my favorite chess player of all time, Morphy is second. Secondly, I always get a chuckle about who was the best or the greatest. Both are chess geniuses but the comparison falls apart when one understands Fischer had hundreds of games by Morphy, Capa, and Steinitz (his own big three favorites) to learn from where as the others had no one of Fisher's talents to learn from. Fisher stood on the shoulders of giants as he bacame a giant himself.

    • @sajidmoosa1

      Moreover a great deal of chess literature, coaches, competitors, regular tourneys, better national level chess structure , world wide exposure. Nothing sort of in the times of Morphy, travel was cumbersome, financial impact of chess to one's well being was almost negligible. Morphy was far more superior, not technically, but a built in genius whereas Fischer did a lot of hardwork.

    In a chessmatch for example between Fischer and Kasparov the battle for 36, could be the way Fischer become anti semitic to get the West side of 36 because he travelled to Northern Europe after winning chess championships probably preparing in the future deciding match with Garry, anticipating Kasparov would be at the East side 36, with Krypton 72 the target to win aside from being hailed as the Best Chessmaster in the world, and Garry trained with deep blue supercomputer to cement his title with his contemporary and trained for the best opponent like Bobby Fischer, who went faraway at the Other side of West probably contemplating or planning his moves then travel East to Philippines with a non title match against Torre, that chess piece tower he want to take hold as his secret title and he appears with mustache and disorganized and old identifiable with old focused practice of maturity rather than his clean shaved in black suit tie former self, in appearance so as not to be easily analyzed by systematic mindsets like Garry Kasparov, that K first letter in him which made me think of some science thing the way he battled Deep Blue Supercomputer, so both grandmasters were indirectly preparing and prepositioning aware that they're the best of the best in Chess that time, what then are their preparations for this upcoming match performances?
