  • The Hilton Anatole Hotel is a massive hotel situated right in the center of the market center district of Dallas. Sitting on 45 acres of land, the hotel boasts over 1600 rooms and both a low-rise atrium and an upmarket high-rise tower section so guests can choose the exact room they want. The hotel also has a massive venue that hosts hundreds of events annually, also being one of, if not the largest, convention hotel just outside downtown. In this review, we are in a room located in the high-rise tower section, which dates back to the 1980s, and in some ways, it shows. Although the room was nice and was refurbished in 2005 with furniture that doesn’t go out of style too fast, it was clear that the room is about ready for a renovation, but the hotel is currently gearing up to undergo a renovation of all the rooms, with the renovations kicking off in the summer of 2023. There’s a good chance that if you stay here a few years down the line, you’re going to get a different (and much nicer) room. I will do my best to get a new room soon, and perhaps later, we can see if the renovation is worth the hype. In terms of dining, there are few options available in the hotel, and there is certainly something for everyone. For breakfast, you have the delightfully 70s Terrace breakfast restaurant, offering both a la carte and buffet options. The breakfast was good and certainly better than most Hilton breakfasts. CounterOffer is also available for a quick meal throughout the day and also serves Starbucks, and I must say it’s the closest to the real thing I’ve seen at a “WPS” location. For lunch and dinner, there is Media bar and grill, which I must say the food I had was actually pretty good for hotel dining, and the prices were higher but not as bad as some other hotels. For those seeking fine dining, the Anatole has you covered at SĒR on their 27th floor with Downtown Dallas views and fine steaks, which apparently are pretty good. Overall, if you’re coming for a convention or just want to relax for a weekend outside the craziness of Dallas but still within 10 minutes of downtown, the Anatole is an excellent choice. If you are coming to Dallas looking for the latest and greatest in hotels, though, this probably isn’t the one for you until they renovate in 2023-4.

What are plans for your new videos? The art in the garden area reminds me of the stuff you would encounter at Northpark Center for some reason.

What a great property! I've always liked Hiltons... many stays at many Hilton properties over the years. However, I'd been at Hampton Tucumcari for 3 hrs. when it was struck by lightning and burned down. We got out safely but not even a refund from Hilton... act of God... not their fault was the excuse. I'm still a bit salty over that one.

From my experience, Hilton has consistently offered competitively priced hotels with minimal cleanliness issues. This property was no exception! The rooms are a bit dated, but for the rate I paid, I couldn't be any happier with what I got. About that Hampton, though. If something like that happened, I would think they would at least find some way to give compensation, like a free night at another property. That's the stuff I was taught in week 1 in hotel school; if something goes wrong, you should do what you can to make it right for the guest so they continue to book your hotels, not consider booking the competitor's hotel.
