Now that Supra prices are well under MSRP and Corvette prices are well over $60K.. 2021 3.0 Supra is about $52-54K (real world). If you configure a C8 to match the Supra 3.0 Premium trim your easily pushing close to $80K MSRP (and most have $20-40K markup unless you wait about a year for an ordered C8).
That’s a huge price difference.
It absolutely does have a touch screen. LOL did you even try it?
It’s not a touch screen. It’s controlled by the knob on the center console
@@hunterwashburn5480 Well the one sitting in my garage says otherwise. Lol at least look it up yourself before spreading misinformation. Google is your friend.
@@Norcal_KT it depends what trim you have big guy. Try google, it’s your friend.
@@hunterwashburn5480 and a 2021 3.0 premium (like the title says) has it. So your point is...
@@Norcal_KT point is that not all Supra’s have touch screen 😂
I’ve been loving mine so much. It’s been a dream to own. Deff my favorite car of 2020/21.
Been thinking about getting one within a couple months, just curious if you can share what the out the door price is? Thanks!
The C8 is 60k in theory. Dealers have 80-100k markups on it. So no. Supra wins.
It actually has alot of Toyota stuff.. the entire exterior, upper frame, center console, speaker system, the outside of the steering wheel interior behind seats n everything. But mostly the exterior. Its like best of both worlds
Fellow a90 owner here, totally a beast and feels great
I own a Supra, and I’ve never seen another one on the road. I’ll prolly be slightly bummed when I finally do, but hey, I’ll chase him down and start a club.
How does the Supra compares to your previous 6th gen Camaro SS1LE?
There are so many things missed with this review. The screen is actually touch screen. The engine in the 2020 is from the x5 but the 2021 is from the bmw m40i/40i's. Toyota and BMW did not talk during the engineering phase they are tuned differently for suspension and engine. Therefore it's not just a bmw.
Definitely will be more rare than C8! Love my blue Supra.
The new Supra will be more rare but mainly because people aren't as interested and it's very pricey. I own one and I don't think this car is worth the MSRP toyota is asking for. Glad I got it for $5k below MSRP otherwise I'd definitely would not buy one. Lol.
@Trevon Adams the supra will be more rare because not too many people are buying them. Give it 2-3 years and there will be more C8s on the road.
@Trevon Adams it's selling ok, and was never intended to sell in high numbers. However, Toyota is having a hard time selling the Supra at MSRP. Many dealerships have to sell below MSRP in order to sell the Supra. So in a way, yes, the Supra is a flop. It's a nice car but it's overhyped. Way overhyped.
yes, if toyota offers a 6 speed manual.
@Trevon Adams its total bs. That guy is full of crap... in other videos he says he bought a bos 302 mustang, in this video he says he owns a supra... probably just some little kid
I'm gonna order this when it comes to Norway. Beautiful car
Love this car !!
I HAVE ONE!!The Special Edition A91 is the one to get....you gotta see that one!!
The new Corvette is more like $100-120k than $60k. Dealer mark ups are about $30k in Las Vegas.
Here in the middle east the supra cost around the same, but the c8 cost almost double of that around 110k
Corvette is NOT 60k out the door. Those cars are going for 100k smh
The corvette c6 that can go up to 200 mph is only around 30k
@@dew5714 a C6 ZR1 thats 7 years old???
You can order it from factory I built my own and got it for about 68 k which is still an amazing value for what you are getting
that is due to the demand, dealers are/ able to mark them up and there still is a waiting list for them.
The main issue with the new Supra, is the same as it was during its introduction, the fact that is not a Toyota , it a rebadged BMW z4
@@MrGreenelight if you ever drove the new supra, you'd know that's not the truth. Line me up with any Z4 and you will catch it in my rear view.... plenty of cars away.
I have yet to see a c8 for $60k. So good luck finding one without a ridiculous mark up.
Fr they selling aftermarket for 100k
Seriously! Idk who the fuck get a c8 for 60k
RP Productions Great Review I think that 2021 Supra is very nice and I would honestly get a C8 over a Supra for the Extra Power and Styling and Happy belated Halloween to you and your family and all of your Subs
Supra owners don't care about Camaro or Mustang's. They have a whole different wow factor.
Every dick has a Mustang
The price of the C8 and GT350R’s caused me to get a GR Supra and I’m glad I did. This car is a great daily driver.
when using the in-built navigation that portion of the gauge also has shows the navigation. well it does on mine in Australia. i dunno if you guys have different versions etc
Good job. What is the name of the color on this one?
I love it my boy Riley keep up the work and I love the video 💯💯💯💯💯💯
The last car show I went to, their was a 4th Gen Supra imported from Japan, and a new Z, I mean Supra. Personally, the 4th Gen looked better to me. Cleaner lines, and it was mint
its weird how these passive aggressive soyboys come out of the woodwork referencing the bmw m series platform as if its some sort of insult.. lmao
The Supra cool. I believe Toyota said the reason the car has so many fake vents is for aftermarket purposes. They didn’t want to boost it for price reasons maybe, it’s already expensive, but the vents will allow aftermarket companies to use the airflow cuts to cool the car engine & for aerodynamics on the track if someone choose to go that route
I believe some of those vents are functional on their GT4 racecar but to make them functional for regular Supras is probably not worth the cost.
If I’m paying 60k for a car every vent better be real and functional
The fake vents are for aftermarket reasons. Toyota didn’t want to boost the car so they added fake vents for ppl to go through the aftermarket
@@Jaymake still cheap af for a 60k car they dumb
@@Jaymake no, they are fake and completely useless.
@@FRWD_FXLRST u can take the fake vents out and make it real it’s been done check the forms
Obviously something was missed during the audio setup, i highly doubt a system like that has little to no bass even from stock premium systems
From the factory the settings are completely flat. You have to tune it in the settings.
I played with the settings, the bass is still awful in this car

u can't adjust audio settings??
Not sure if to buy one of these or an M340i...

I graduate in a year! Debating whether I should focus on paying my student loans once I get my first profesional job or be impulsive and buy a toyota Supra.. might just be impulsive and buy one.
Not to worry, Biden will cancel them.
Im totally getting the alternative front end for this thing. I cant stand this one.
3 years later and we have aftermarket center consoles for these now 😂
I love the car, but I’d have to go with a used 2020 in the high 40s/low 50s
Depending on where you look, these are going for low 50’s now..... i’m waiting for snow to hit the ground to see if the dealer discounts them even more.
If you're paying anything more than $48k for a low mileage 2020 then you're getting ripped off. A new 2021 can be had for low $50ks.
@@mrjjthor not in Texas
@@coderomes you have to negotiate to get low $50ks. The car isn't selling all that well so many dealerships are willing to take anywhere between $3k-$7k off MSRP.
@@mrjjthor you said your getting ripped off if you pay more than 48k, but now your saying you have to negotiate just to get in the low 50s. Low to mid 50s is what I’m seeing in my area but even at that, there’s barely an used ones available.

Toyota understood the aftermarket for these cars. So the fake vents were deliberate for aftermarket modifications

True, but it was quite interesting listening to somebody who knows absolutely nothing about cars talking about cars

Dude's sitting here talking about it not being a great daily, which the Supra is actually decent for, but you know he'd say that Corvette can get DD'd no problem... lol such a douchey guy
I like this car
Swap the subs for JL Audio and the other speakers some MB Quarts.
Funny how much hate there is here for this car but in my opinion this car is better than the old supra and really lives up to its predecessor. It easily makes power its proven to be reliable for over 800whp according to titan motorsports. Within a year this car has gone 8 seconds in the quarter mile while retaining alot of the factory parts.
Would you trade your ZL1 for this?
I like it but not for $55k. I'd wait to see what Nissan does with the Z.
The z is gonna suck... Nissan is flopping hard these days.. some car people are even saying the new z wont even come out as promised, will just be another NA rebadged 350z...
@@aaronsanchezz bad news junior, the VR30DETT has been a success in the Infiniti line up, Nissan will put the 3.0 V6 twin turbo from the Q60 and a 6 speed manual.
@@h.a.4600 bad news jr that doesn't make them any less floppy... Infiniti is becoming completely defunct people are saying its gonna be discontinued, the new GTRs blow their trans, 370z has been like exactly the same for 10 years or some bs... plus they were never that great... look at the amum warping in the sr20.... or the oil starvation and extreme detonation and exploding rb26 rb25s AAAAND rb20s in the r32 and r33. Skyline.... great the vr30det is good... ok thats great, idk how proven they are, i dont really see alot of 1000hp new Infinitis out there, like all the proven multiple high hp even 1000hp b58s already running flawlessly, but ok ill go ahead and believe you this Nissan engine is good and not argue that.... and ya you're right if they do make it its probably gonna have that engine so thats good.
@@aaronsanchezz the reason you don't see 1000hp 3.0 twin turbos, is because despite the Infiniti selling well in the first years, the VR30 is still pretty underated in the tuning world, the B58s we're underated too before the Supra debuted, the reason the 400z will succed is because Nissan knows how to create hype and deliver the goods on a new sports car; the 370z had the 3.7 Litter engine instead of the 3.5, now the reason thr 400z will be succesfull is because it will feature what Z fans where begging to Nissan, update the Z with the 3.0 twin turbo engine.
@@h.a.4600 ya i guess, that makes sense. I guess ill just have to wait n see
this is better than an m2? sorry but your in another world with your reviews . G0 drive a manual m2 CS. Amazing.. to each their own
ima save up for one
same ☠️
I hope this car comes in a manual one day...
Doubt it, the market today in America is that mostly everyone drives an automatic, and the transmission Toyota is using this car is highly advance and can be faster than a human, also in America a Manual is a huge turn off to potential buyers. The people who drives an auto outweighs people who drives manuals so it’s hard for a company to produce both if the manual isn’t gonna sell well
I also wish this car has a manual but we can’t be beggar choosers
honestly for 60k i can buy the mrk4 supra here in arizona and still have some money left over lol for mods or to keep for another car
Looking much older bro 🤙
My supra red color 😎
So Toyota decided to call out sick and stay in bed, while BMW went to work lol.
I have seen a $60k C8 corvette...it was on Chevy's website. You can't actually buy them at that price.
Everyone and their mom has C6 Corvettes and soon enough they'll all have C8s. Right now though, you can't even find new, bottom barrel trim C8s for $70k and thats already $15k more than the Supra. It'll probably be grossly overpriced for a couple years, until the novelty wears off... at which point, everyone and their mom will have C8 Corvettes. Chances are if you can afford the Supra you could wait and buy a C8 Corvette anyway. I've driven American muscle most of my life and am taking a break- this import looks interesting. If I wind up pulling the trigger on the Supra and not liking it long term, I'll just trade it in for a C8 in 3-4 years when the price, demand, and quality issues are normalized. The benefit of not overpaying, or being able to find, the newly released C8 is that you don't have to play guinea pig with the issues it has in the first iterations.
This guy has a good take. Appreciates the car but prefers American muscle. No shame in that.
more like works for \Chevrolet
the g86 is also a subaru
Lol this car all it needs just tune only and beats c8s but people still hate on it haha 😂
Моя мечта 😍
I prefer the zl1 that you have more fun more nice and is not a bmw
I don't think they are selling well. Toyota offered good size rebates and/or special interest, to move their left over 2020's. And in my area, I'm noticing a lot of 2021's sitting on the lots or arriving soon.
I was one of the few that picked one up during that time. $46.3k before tax, 2020 Premium, new. Now look at the prices for them.
I seriously considered one last year. I like the smaller size and lighter weight. But after sitting in one and driving one I walked away disappointed for the price. I feel like the car desperately needs a manual. I ended up buying a barely used 2018 GT350 last winter for $8K less than the Supra, then sold that car recently for a profit and bought a 2020 SS1LE for $43K out the door.
This is the problem, an SS1LE is such a better value than the Supra and you get a V8, Recaro, Brembos, magnetic dampers, etc, etc...
Its not a much better value its NA and the Supra will walked the shit out of it once its tuned. FBO tuned Supras are running 10's in the quarter mile
@@carlmanney1160 Yeah but I can add forced induction, headers, E85, tune, etc all day to a V8 Mustang or Camaro. But I bought my SS1LE because I track and really don’t care about straight line speed and my SS1LE will destroy a Supra all day. And for way less money.
@@carlmanney1160 bro you spamming this now lol

Plus a 10k mark up
Camaro SS 1le is the perfect car for the price

When they say "chrome" they mean chrome colored plastic don't they?
Why does he have to wear corvette stuff to ///M Supra review? They should offer it in manual. Then it will be a better option than anything with automatic. I’m aware automatic is faster. Also Toyota should of just made the vents real, so you don’t have to fix it in the aftermarket.

Take a shot every time this dude say bmw
if you’re buying this car for the lack of music something must be wrong with you 😆
It's not the same as old one, plus too BMW and it's automatic.
Good luck getting a c8 for 60k. Everywhere I looked either all 90k plus or sold out with waiting lists till 2022,. The audio definatly has base and plenty. You gotta adjust the controls. Mine thumps. The screen is touch screen next time touch it. And Jesus can you say BMW anymore. People keep saying BMW like it's an insult.
Exactly Toyota could not have teamed up with a better choice than BMW for the six which really keep the price of the car down what if they had teamed up with Subaru again and put a six Boxster in it or Kia or something what would they say act like BMW such a poor choice Most of us can’t afford a compatible BMW
BMW most definitely does not have the quality of Toyota. BMW has a big fan base because they developed a good reputation but those days are no more - and haven’t been for 10+ years. So yes, it is an insult.
Kinda sad that Toyota couldn't take a car as iconic and special as their supra and do something other than rebadging a BMW..
How is it rebadged? The whole body looks nothing like a bmw.

🤦♂️ do some research and you will know that Toyota did a lot of quality control and lots of R&D to make reliable. Not a single Supra owner have any or very few engine or quality problems.
Only if people are willing to pay that amount!
it's such a good lookin' car. The only thing that annoys me is that they said it had to be a straight six, and then they released a four cylinder version. They could've just made an in house four cylinder version. Look how awesome their three cylinder GR Yaris is, and how well it's being received.
ill take a corvette for that price
you will never lol

Get a maro lt1 😬 feel the v8 power coñooo
My 86 Grand National is still faster. 0-60 in about 3.0s out of an old pushrod v6. Any 2020/21 Supra owner want to run for pink slips?
ya but yours is ugly and cant go around a corner doing more than 10 mph
@@thisisrob8750 Your mom, wife and children are ugly too. Of course this is a matter of taste, which is pointless to argue. You're the who cares about corners, not me! All I care about is straight-line performance, which is why I bought a GN in the first. Not to brag, I paid $13k for my car and now it's worth at least $30k, if not $35k. While my Grand National can no longer out run modern vehicles, for example turbo charged LS motors it still does well for a stock bottom end, with its pathetic off center pushrod v6 block. Yes I do have an aftermarket ECU, which put out a dramatic increase in power as well as allowing me to run E85 and which is much safer that 93 with alky. Since I will only race people to the legal speed limit on the street(expressway), I still beat the shit out of most cars, especially NA cars with their V8. Otherwise at Milan Dragway I run 10s all day long.

The omg is that a Supra line doesn’t work for bmw sorry
While this is an excellent car, if you dont mind a used one in four years it will be about $25,000 or less:)
Nah definitely not a supra, at least not in the US. Depending on condition, miles driven, and age. In 4 years I would imagine a supra with about 50,000k will be worth around $35,000k, US used car’s are ridiculously priced unfortunately, also this is a collectors car to most so that also increases value. Now anywhere else in the world, I have no idea. But think trucks in the US, you can get a fully loaded super duty or ram cummins, and 2 years and 60k miles down the road you can sell it outrageously close to what you bought it for lol

But beats the LC in a drag race
Yeah budget LC if u say so, but it destroy the LC in a drag race, plus that’s not even the Supra final form 😏
I don’t get it, what’s so bad about it being built by BMW? I think BMWs are great! They build great performance cars!
I'm with you, BMW makes some great inline-6. I understand everyone expected Toyota to miraculously make an engine to drive the cost even higher.
BMWs are not known for reliability and also the Supra is Toyotas halo car so many felt toyota sold out on the Supra name by having BMW engineered the whole car. It's like if BMW had Ford engineered their M cars for them.
The Supra is a good car but I can see why many are upset.
@@mrjjthor BMWs are reliable. They become unreliable when you ignore the maintenance intervals because of costs. I am a firm believer that if you cannot afford to properly maintain a vehicle, you can’t actually afford the vehicle.
@@PacMan790 it's not the maintenance but the electronics and other mechanical parts that seems to go bad. I've owned two M cars and both has left me stranded at one point. Luckily it was an easy fix but I suppose you have to pay to play.
However, I do believe most of their powertrain lineups are reliable, mainly their inline sixes.
Maintenance won’t do much for engineering flaws. BMW’s are nice to drive but they are definitely higher maintenance for stupid things.
I agree you have to pay to play. You can definitely have just as much fun in a Camaro or Mustang and be more reliable while doing it.
Potato launcher exhaust😂
If I wanted a BMW I’d buy a BMW. If I’m a longtime Supra lover and have been waiting on it to come back I’d be extremely disappointed too.
Not sure why. People wanted a car that can gain power with just a few mods and it does specifically that with just a tune, gas, downpipe, and turbo to get over 650-700+whp with ease. People should've been using toyos other platforms rather than just begging for a new supra and we'd probably see more homemade sportscars from toyo but that isn't the case since barely anyone really does much with any of their current rwd coupes/cars.
No manual transmission, no buy. I don't care if it has 1000hp; it's if mated to an automatic, it's not for me.
At that price point I much rather get a hellcat or a vette. It’s not even a super to begin with. No point in buying a overpriced BMW.
How much is a new BMW Z4? That would be the BMW equivalent.
Thanks! So it’s actually a under priced BMW.
This around the same price range as a vette smh.
