The track saw is my favourite xgt product, it has basically replaced my mafell. I would like to see a 1/2 inch router, framing nailer and angled finish nailer. Great vid by the way 😂

You sir will absolutely love the track saw. I am a professional trim carpenter in the states. My second XGT purchase was the track saw. Actually I am also around 18 months in the platform. No regrets. By the way my first XGT purchase was the same miter saw. Start with the big stuff. Lol. I did . I already had everything I needed in smaller tools, so I introduced myself to the new line with more specific tools. Of course now I am in as much if not more as you are. Seems as if a lot of people are still hesitant. I don't understand that. They make a lot of sense for me moving forward

Thanks for the comment, mate. Defiantly keen to get a track saw one day. I have the tracks already sitting in the Van waiting for the day. HAHAHA.

I’m on the XGT platform .
Electrician by trade . Have found every tool to be much smoother and less effort than the 18v . And I’m certainly not going through the batteries as much .
I would be keen for you to do a review of the new high output 4AH battery if that’s possible ?
As for the use of the big garden blower I get about 20mins runtime with a 5ah battery .
Also had issue with the rotary hammer trigger …. No chuck issues yet .

Hi Mate, Haven't looked into the high output batteries yet. Keen though. Let me see what I can do later on down the track for you. Cheers.

They really need a 40v table saw, multitool and large router.

I run gardening lawn mowing business. I started with lxt chain saws hedge trimmers ect. But started getting a few xgt ope tools and think it’s better than lxt. But having both battery systems isn’t a bad thing as some things better on lxt being lighter but won’t have the power of xgt. I think makita are pretty serious with xgt as there’s a new 4ah battery coming out high output. Have more power than the 5ah battery yet it be lighter than the current 4ah battery. And rumours of a 12ah coming out

Love the fact the power is there when you need it on the XGT platform. I agree with the mix of platforms. I have 18V gear too.

I purchased the 40v impact from Japan and the rubber is starting to fall apart. Personally I don’t mind because it’s meant to wear out but I wasn’t expecting it to happen a year or so after.

Yer same. But to be honest it's the tool that gets swung on the tool belt pretty much every day.

Hey mate, thanks for all your content. I’m a 35yr old with no experience trying to get into carpentry apprenticeship. Just wondering if you’d consider jumping on the the apprenticeship training groups or just keep trying my luck directly with builders. & also - how have you found the physicality of the apprenticeship? thanks mate

We need a charger which can do 40V and 18V.....i don't want to carry 2 chargers.

Mate, Just go into your tool shop and ask for the Makita 40V to 18V Adapter. Then you just use the 40V Charger. Hope that helps mate. Might need to do a Short on this one.

I believe the best tool 40v is lawnmower. Initially I bought 36v(2x18v) and that was the worst Makita experience. I returned that and they offered to but a new 2x40v mower. That was pretty expensive but worth that.

They are way to slow in tool development and improvement ,new tools eg nail gun .

Hearing you mate. It's crazy how long it is taking them to come out with items. But knowing Makita they will R n D the shit out of it to try and limit issues when released.
