On the other hand, every time I used Export Video/Media, I didn't quite know which settings to use and would always get very bad results. Suffice to say, this helped out a LOT. Thanks!

Sorry. missed this. The master maybe in terms of being able to go back to it at full quality within Animate. But if you want a full quality "exported" master you probably have to export the image frames (like at the start of the video), then bring them into a video editor (or Photoshop) and treat the images like a stop motion project with 24 image frames per second...then export as a lossless file type.
Help when i exported video, when i played it the audio is the same while the frames n stuff are sped up not matching with the audio- why does it do this and how can i fix it? Your video was very helpful tho
Might happen because frame rate of audio clip that you imported is different than your timeline settings. Not sure what to do to fix this besides making the frame rates match maybe. Sorry.

I was hoping this would fix my issue but it didn’t… everytime I export my animation, my shading and other layers that have specific opacities/alpha just get set back to 100%. Every single time. In the animation itself it looks great, it’s only when I export that the layers don’t retain their set opacitys, which is really frustrating as all my shading and overlays are solid gradients or colours with lowered opacities to give a nice effect. I’ve tried turning my animation into a movie clip and it doesn’t change anything, even though one article online said it would work. It’s so frustrating, do you know why it does this? It should be the same I would think. Just change the export settings to 60 as well (might require a custom setup though, I've never done it, so I'm not sure).
Your export settings could be different than your project settings? Did you keep the frame rate, and quality and everything the same as your Animate project when exporting? If so, then your Animate project might have been too large to begin with? Does it lag on other devices? If you upload to RUclips is it still lagging?
