I am looking for an ag teacher shoe that I can wear in the shop and working with animals or in the classroom. I love my xero sandals and am sold on the concept, but need something to look good in jeans with. Do these seem up to day to day use? I don't need steel toes, just sure feet ready for lots of miles.
Hmm, I don't think these would be best for anything remotely rugged. These are very lightweight fabric slip on that might tear if you snagged them on ag equipment or animal pens, etc. These are for probably low-key casual wear. What your looking for sounds like a little rugged, yet minimalist shoe. Hey Ken. This is super off topic but I wanted to let you know something.
I was looking into buying these shoes and your review was the first one that popped up. You looked familiar and I jokingly thought you looked looked like Ken from the Okie Hebrew blog from like 10 years ago that I used to read all the time. Then I noticed your username and had to make sure.

Those look really good. I have 2 different Prios and the all black Glenn. All were comfy out of the box. That might be one I should add to my collection, but my wife may kill me if I keep this up. Out of curiosity, have you run in them?
No, these are more what you'd wear to brunch than running down the street. Like Hey Dudes, only classier - in my opinion. I do like slipping them on for quick errands too - probably some of the only close-toed shoes I'll wear barefoot from time to time.
Yeah, I wouldn't use them for running, was just curious if you'd tried. I totally jogged up and down my hall in the Glenns just to see. Worked okay, but I wouldn't recommend. Not breathable at all. But I didn't buy them for running, I bought them because I needed something fancier than Prios that wasn't a prison like "traditional" shoes. Keep the reviews coming!
You could "valet jog" in them, sure. But the most rigorous activity I would do in them is a game of croquet.
Sizing comparable to heydudes as well?
I wish I could say. I'm not sure how Hey Dudes are sized.
