- In the final part to The English Voice Cast series, the cast of FINAL FANTASY XV share their fondest memories of recording the game as well as their thoughts on being part of Final Fantasy history.

Man, Ardyn's voice is phenomenal. It's deep and intimidating while at the same time it's also a bit serene and relaxing to hear him talking.

Damn, Robbie is 100% a true final fantasy fan. Totally nailed it with those words and the enthusiasm from this group as a whole is sooo clear. Even their social media pages shows just how hyped they all are to be voicing these characters. Ruddy good start I say!

I've come to fall in love with this cast over the year. I much prefer these guys compared to the Japanese VA's now. Probs in the minority. But I think they all gel so well together.
Also my fav FF is VIII so props to Ray for knowing what's what lol.
The trend seems to be people are liking the dubbed version more now. A pleasant change of pace tbh im glad more people are giving it a chance

I've tried and tried to like the English voice cast...but Gladio and Iggys voices are like nails on a chalk board to me. I definetly think that if Iggys VA would have 7sed his normal voice It would be a much more enjoyable experience for me. Everyone else is great though, I just wish I could get over Gladio and Iggy. 😢

metal dra900n Yeah, I very much enjoyed listening to the english voice acting. It was fun, and it sounded natural. I haven't listened to the Japanese version, so I can't compare or make any comments about it, but I think this would be one of those rare moments where I love both versions equally.
Also, there are characters like Iggy, who I would probably prefer listening to in english because of his accent.

Far from it I have many friends who loved playing VIII. VIII just had the unlucky position of following VII. Now I still prefer VII since it was the first FF I ever played and I wasn't crazy about the junction system but I did like the world and characters of VIII

Batu Han The overall soundtrack for Final Fantasy XV definitely has great potential.There has not been one soundtrack from it I have disliked so far.
There is one song I have heard from it that I just find unbearable. I do not know what it is called, but it was played during the first time that they showed off driving the car. It was just this horrible, repeating elevator music. If they hadn't decided to add in a car radio, and instead had played that song every time you got in the car I would literally walk everywhere. I would only get in the car when I absolutely had to for story reasons.

These have been such a pleasure to enjoy, and seeing the actors take on their characters and their commitment/interpretations of the roles will have only increased my immersion when I play the game. Talking to Darin at Comicon really showed me the passion that these actors have for the franchise and for the arts in general, and these casting choices say a lot about Square Enix's dedication to their craft. Thank you to everyone involved.

This cast is just...perfect!I love them all.But I really wanted to meet the rest of it too.
My God. The VA's comments and messages about the game was utterly spectacular. Worth hearing and taking heed of. Just incredible. Cannot wait for this game to come out. :)
FINAL FANTASY V AND VIII (5 and 8) were the BEST!!! So much respect for Ray Chase now. HELL YEAH!

I love 8, it was my first final fantasy ever. It was the last day of school summer break, went with my brother to buy new shoes and saw FF8 playing on gaming shop screen, so I used the money to buy the game, yes my parent were made at me but I had probably one of the best years of my teen playing FF8.

The guy in the thumbnail voicing Ardyn - Darin De Paul - is REINHARDT in Overwatch! Awesome, talented voice actor - they're two such different voices.

One thing I've come to love watching these cast videos is how passionate and excited they are about what they're creating. I feel that often times people in the voice acting industry simply show up and act they lines, and do it well, but then they just go home after collecting the paycheck. These interviews feel so natural and honest and real it makes me just that more excited to see that passion bleed into their in-game performances. November can't come soon enough!

I truly love the enthusiasm from the voice actors. they are a great pick for the english cast and I love the camaraderie between them.

This version of the Prelude is quickly becoming my favorite
I literally love all the FF games, asking me which is my favorite is quite difficult. If it really comes down to it, I would say 2 had my favorite soundtrack, 5 was the most fun and contained awesome challenge, 6 was very balance and overall great, worthy of being the best in all terms. 7 is personally my favorite in terms of story, complex, most appealing and honestly probably the best written, at least for me (also it got me into the series, and in my opinion has the coolest cast of characters), and then 9 was pretty much like 6 but just slightly short but still overall done well.
15 for me was good. I like the character designs, I like the flow and I absolutely love the character development. I don't think any other FF game could beat the bond of the brotherhood. Truly an experience, and without spoiling anything, the ending. I really love the ending. To me the ending is very powerful and those that played it, I can understand why they either really love it or hate it. Music was amazing and the exploration was grand (despite the boring car rides, I still enjoy the authentication.) My only concern was they didn't give more enough. It felt rushed and there was a lot of important scenes cut out. I understand that they did this 'on purpose'. Which I think is malarkey. But still more character interaction, more background information (ex. Lunafreya) and more scenes (Ardyn, Ravus) would have made the game better.
The story is the main reason I want to experience this game!
I absolutely love this cast. Thank you all so very much for your dedication, hard work and passion throughout! Can't wait.
I just finished this game and i cannot stop crying. Easily my favorite game. I just ugh. 😭😭😭😭😭
I was crying at the end of the game . Like a good 15 min cry , not just a tear drop . People saying that the story is not there or they dont get it . For me it was clear as day . Well watching Kingsglaive the movie and the 5 ep anime helps a lot .
SPOILERS
In the movie you find out what happened in the kingdom after Noctis and the other left , which fills the hole in the story
In the 5 ep anime you learn about the characters and a little about their backstory so this fills the hole with the characters
+ in the upcomming DLC you will get more character backstories - Episode of Prompto , Episode of Gladio and Episode of Ignis
There 3 DLCs will show what happened to them : How Ignis lost his sight in Altisia , What Gladio was doing when he left the party and returned with scars , And what happened to Prompto when he fell out the train . Thats logical stuff that has to be in the DLCs .

SakMinZeez Finally! FFX is my ultimate favorite and everyone hates Tidus's voice actor. It's a beautiful game with a beautiful ending that makes even people who've never seen the game cry at the end

It's interesting listening to their stories and thoughts about Final Fantasy 15 and this franchise as a whole. And Robbie Daymond is slowly moving up on the list of my favorite voice actors. Love his passion about this franchise! And Ray Chase, no worries you are entitled to your opinion. :) BTW my favorite Final Fantasy is definitely FF10. No other games can replace this first game that I played on my first console. Ah... the memories....

BlackDoge Yeah i was smart bout that, i have a small savings tucked away for just this game that i been accumulating for this experience. I am going all out to, not just the ultimate collectors edition, but also the strategy guide, maybe a few t shirts, a wallscroll or posters and a couple other nik nacks. It is going to be a glorious time!

It's funny how in these videos, the ones who rush to comment are the weeaboos with their "i'll only play it if there's jap dubs with eng dubs" or "eng dubs sucks" comments. keep your insecurities with yourselves, nobody cares...
yeah, fuck those guys. like, i'm a fucking weeabo. i love anime, i love japanese culture. but i will be playing FFXV with english dubs probably, because i like them. they sound natural and well made. so there is no point in playing in japanese, why bother? lol
People use that word wrong I like anime and jrpgs just leave it at that. For me people that think Japanese dub is king and can name every Japanese voice actor up the ass is a weebo.
I mean I plan on playing with japanese voices because theyre the ones we've been hearing in the brotherhood series, I'm already familiar with one cast, I dont see a reason to switch things up when the game comes out. nothing to do with being a weeb lol.
If that is your choice then go ahead nothing wrong with your decision just those who believe that English dub has no place in a jrpgs or anime are weebs. I on the other hand will play with both languages either the next playthrough or in between the first playthrough.

Part of me wishes Amy Shiel was able to use her natural accent for Luna! An Irish Luna would’ve been fantastic, I felt the accent was quite forced, it was a lovely voice don’t get me wrong but I think it would’ve been nice to hear an accent rarely heard in games! :)

If you close your eyes you can kinda hear the characters saying the things, but like they sound super mellow. XD

FFXV GOTY contender hopefully it's becomes the greatest game square enix has ever made since FFXII. FFXIII was good but it could have been better with more exploration and actual NPC Town to go to on gran pulse.
Sadly a game like infinite warfare will probably take the cake.
Legghette, you are on the money. I would argue that even though the storytelling was shit, XIII's story was still worth experiencing. I do think that if there is anything Final Fantasy can learn from XIII, it is that human characters are better than archetypes. I think XIII was one of the few jrpgs that seemed to delve more into human nature rather than anime nature.
In regards to the XIII series as a whole, it was a mess. XIII is the only one really worth talking about story- wise.
I thought it did perfectly fine explaining things? I had very few questions left over at the end. Also pretty great combat system imo. Only major complaints are vanilles voice and the linearity of the first game
+Jordan Aponte I think it's gonna be between this game, overwatch, uncharted and cod...sadly the only nintendo game I can see having a chance is pokemon sun and moon , but some say handhelds can't be GOTY

i would love for any of the people who were involved in the english voice acting to know that one of the biggest and many reasons I enjoyed the game as much as I did was because of the amazing voice acting so thank you for this wonderful experience
I CANNOT WAIT been waiting 10 years now!! So excited to see it finally coming out next month was a little disappointed it got pushed back at first but I realize its for the best the game wasn't up to par with the developers standards in a day in age where developers push out unfinished piles of shit just to meet a deadline it means allot when they decided to delay it and I cant be more excited to play it when it finally releases

When Ray said his favorite was controversial, I got excited and thought he'd say XIII cause it's my favorite lol X > VIII > VII for me, not including sequels/spinoffs. I REALLLLY need to play IX, and also Type-0 (I have it but haven't started it yet).
I loved what they all said about XV at the end, especially Robbie. :') bring on the feels; I can see them coming and I am so ready -I'm gonna regret saying that once I actually play it- Seriously can't wait

totally agree. i played the PS1 version, too. was the best turn based strategy game i ever played.
if that is true you NEED to get your hands on the PSP version of the game. It has a different ending compared to the PS1.

With all this marketing they must feel it is a really good game and that's good!
People need to lower the expectations for the game tho.
They had a movie, an anime miniseries and as many demos as there are games in the series (give or take a few). They aren't going to put that much time, money, and effort into supplementary materials if they aren't confident in the main game.
