I actually love the idea of this type of expansion. It’s always great to get big, powerful creatures, but we need more smaller creatures to flesh out the world. And what makes this great is that these smaller creatures are useful. I can’t wait to see what’s next, whenever that may be. I hope the ocean keeps getting love, as well as the other biomes. It be great to get some dinos, mammals, birds and pterosaurs in this type of size range.
The Mosa chasing the Cryptoclidus felt like something out of a paleo documentary. Prehistoric Planet had a similar scene, the only difference was that the Mosasaur caught its prey!
Finally a proper plesiosaur in ark. The one we always had just never looked quite right even within the stylisation of the other dinos. Also the hydrotherosaurus from additional.creatures was quite nice
I am so happy to see Cryptoclidus and Obelisk Squid in game. I cant' believe how small Cryptoclidus is! I am glad to see little plesiosaur and smol squid fill the gap of shallow ocean. You don't get to see more aquatic animals often. We only see fish, turtle, ichthyosaur, shark and ray by swallow water. Basilosaurus is somewhat quite rare to see. I am glad those two fill the niches of shallow water to make ocean look more alive than ever! Amazing job, team.

Ahhhhhhh!!!! So I haven’t finished the video but I just got to the part where the mosa is chasing. Totally geeking out right now!!! Y’all freaking cook. It’s so imposing!!!! And the crypto animations and model (along with the beautiful remaster of ASA) make it look so realistic!!! I love it.
I love them so much more than I was expecting. Out of all aquatic creatures, both vanilla and modded, this is the first not-totally-and-shockingly-busted creature I have seen that I would want to use over the sarco. It’s so pretty and cute and happy-looking! The detail is incredible, I love how it’s a small carnivore, the ecologist in me is fascinated by the ecosystem role you are implying (I say implying only because the ark ocean does not behave like an ecosystem), and most of all we finally have a small creature from PaleoArk! I didn’t fall in love with the mod for your apex killers but for the little guys. I love the paleo tyrannosaurus and giga (currently working on establishing a breeding line for both), I miss the small to medium sized reworks. This little reptile is a gorgeous, fluid, delightful gift to the community. The obelisk squid is also great. I personally love both calamari and actual squid, and this feels like another fleshing out of the ecosystem. I can’t wait to tame and (hopefully) eventually breed out some pretty squid to wander around my fish pond. Thank you PaleoArk team, and thank you Becca❤️🖤🦑 Darkedge clan for life!
I wasn’t initially excited for the cryptoclidus but I really love this guy and the mosa looks awesome, I’m not on the island right now, so the aberrant variant is going to be good to get and maybe will even be my key to getting the last of the artifacts on ab since I haven’t done the water cave yet. Can’t wait for the mosa though I need to tame one for achievement sake before the mod comes out, unless the evo creatures count towards the tame for their regular variants as that would be great.

Lol, I love how many times you got jump-scared. This guy is going to be a hilarious addition, if only for the number of times people will forget that they still need to give space to predators and get too close 😂
I’ll admit I wasn’t the most excited for cryptocleidus when it came to all the exciting additions for this mod. But after hearing of all the trouble it gave during development I became pretty interested in seeing it in game, I’m pleasantly surprised to see how soon after it ended up in game. I love how adorable and useful these little guys are and it gets me very excited for the evo elasmosaur, not to mention the unexpected surprise of the mosa.
I have a suggestion! I know you're only responsible for the modelling of things, however you are in kahoots with the other mod devs! I was thinking a neat detail would be if the "amphibious" creatures had a shader that applied a dirt/sand texture to their bodies when on shore that inherits the texture of the terrain. This is a fantastic mod with insanely professional quality creatures, thank you guys for making this out of love and passion. Y'all are the new Wildcard. ❤️
Honestly, that Crypto looks precious! Absolutely fantastic. I don't know why, but at the moment I get a lot more excited for new early to mid game creatures. Great work once again. I also agree about the Aberrant versions in ASA look... rather tacky like there was minimal thought out into them...slapped on patches. IMO, the new Aberrant Majunga has the best looking implementation of such a skin variant. Lastly... please tell me wild Mosas will have the minimum depth mechanic. If there is one thing I don't like about a Tylo is how it follows you to the shoreline and does the whirlpool attack flying in the air and all over the place. I mean the sea is already uninviting as is lol. Great video really hyping me up to use these creatures!
I am definitely taking note of file sizes if I ever want to make models like this one day, that tone of voice means resizing that creature's model was painful to the highest degree ^^"

Okay at first when I watched your upcoming mods video when you're talking about the cryptoclidus I wasn't 100% what to think of it but now that I actually see it in game and see how useful is it I want 1000 of the goddamn lizard seals.
One of the things that impress me the most with Crypto is the fact you managed to give it that much detail with just 8.6 million polys 🤣 Congrats on your hard work!
If it wasn't for the size variation causing weird issues I'd probably make them rideable. But I love cephalopods, and I kinda wanna do an octopus of some sort in this pack. That will definitely be rideable for sure
I don't expect you guys to be putting out content faster. I expect it to be of similarly high quality as the Evo Rex and Evo Giga. However long it takes is fine by me.
finally a marine creature that won't beach itself! DX I always found it a bs thing with the mossa and plesiosaur, not to mention pain in the butt to maneuver them in shallows. but hoooooly crap that new mossa is terrifying C: not even land can save you :D
I can already imagine people forgetting that mosasaur can chase them onto land and the moment they let their guard down, the indominus Rex is going to have a roommate. (Also try to fix the meshing a little if it’s still possible)

That legit sounds awesome especially with pals, have a pair or more and when you get to the depths, deploy them like those underwater jet skis
