Steve Perry is pitch perfect, impeccable vibrato and the most emotive male singer ever. Thank you for letting your listeners enjoy the song and then sharing your reactions at the end. Enjoyable 🙂
Best male vocalist ever. The man was called “The Voice” for a reason. You should check out his earlier music. Open Arms, Faithfully, Don’t Stop Believin’, Wheel in the Sky and that’s just a few. Totally worth the listen.
The live video version is better he's singing live he always sounds better live they don't call him the voice for nothing plus he also writes the greatest songs I read that he makes more money just off the royalties of the songs he wrote for journey then he did touring
Anthony Blakely...He quit touring to get hip replaced in 1998, they went on without him. He has no family since he has never been married and no kids. I think you are thinking of Bob Seger who quit back in the day to be with family. Not this guy. Great voice non the less. agreed.
He didn't retire. Terri's got it right. He then got to the point where he just didn't feel it until his longtime girlfriend passed away. That sent him back into the studio decades later.
Steve Perry is incredible at being able to put the appropriate emotion into his vocals to match the message of each song he sings. Such amazing talent!
@@DanJackson1977 ... and they did some incredible stuff together, it just wasn't mainstream but, also remember, he AND Neil Schon were in Santana together and Greg was the lead singer there too, with Carlos doing the honors every now and then.
The Keyboards are amazing in this song....coming from a keyboard player. Sometimes songs come along that are feel good, because of the vocals, the instruments and the production and engineering. This song is one of them.
The song " Lady Luck" will always be my favorite Perry vocal. Never got air play, seldom played at their concerts, but usually those are the best songs in my opinion.
Nope. You're not a weirdo Wilburn, it's called LIFE. When you're young and never have gone through life you don't understand. Now you do. Now you appreciate what the meaning is and how it relates to your life. I've always said there is a song out there that describes your life perfectly. This is one of those.
I think everybody that loves music does that with songs I know whiter shade of pale I always makes me cry and I have no clue why oh that was a rhyme I'm a poet anyway you're not a weirdo if you're a weirdo I guess I'm a weirdo to you so it's just good to be able to feel the music not just listen I think that's what it's supposed to do is make you feel
steve perry is my favorite male singer. could you do a reaction video of gordon lightfoot "wreck of the edmund fitzgerald." he's a canadian folk singer. the song is based on a true incident on lake superior in november 10, 1975.

Steve Perry the original singer of JOURNEY
. Hard to listen to his solo albums without thinking about journey
Not the original singer of Journey.. that was Greg Rolie. Steve is just the one that made them mainstream.

He really needs to pour himself a glass of wine and just enjoy the song in his reaction when he gets to this one!
