Of course. Men are wimpy compared to women. We have our slang backwards-- pussies are incredibly resilient, balls are pathetically fragile. Adam was a rough draft! 😂❤😂❤😂❤
Joe I know you’re gay and really busy but I appreciate you doing Mindful Metal Jacket. Im foremost a huge fan of your comedy. Sarah is awesome too. She’s hilarious and you both crush. Im in recovery so I relate to you with the anxiety and all. You help so many people with this pod and when you share. It’s great you had Sarah on to talk about the baby. You and Sarah are good people and you’re going to raise a great kid. Thanks again for your comedy and wit. But also your insight, honesty and strength.
First, Sarah is champ for doing the podcast (you can tell she’s tired by all the yawning). Second, I’m here in Los Angeles area, and even I’m shocked at $190 two day parking. Third, I can sense the love you have for each other, and that’s actually more important than trying to figure out how to perfectly raise your boy. Great episode!
I’m sure the last thing you want is feedback from some queef on the internet… but in case you ever do read this it might be helpful. Our daughter never slept also- at about 1 year we finally started asking everyone we could find for advice. We contacted an infant/ baby sleep consoler … as gay as that sounds it was amazingly helpful! We were told that baby’s can start learning sleep ques and adjust to more reasonable sleep patterns as young as 2 months old. They were helpful in guiding us on all elements that effect sleep for baby’s from eating to predictable schedules and many other things. In less than a week we were sleeping way more (hours more sleep per night). Granted our child was 1 by the time we learned this but had I known there was stuff we could do differently that could improve sleep I would have paid anything to anyone who could have helped earlier. We used the baby sleep site… I’m sure there are many others too. Maybe worth a shot. Love you guys! Congratulations on the baby boy!!
A few weeks after my son was born, he received a bill from the hospital, addressed to him, for $2k for his time in the nursery. I dropped it in his crib and told him he better get a job. He spit on it
@@portlandsamber I thought it was wild that the hospital sent a bill addressed to a baby. I don’t know how you got ‘blaming kids for existing’ out of that- but it bothers me that you took it there.
Imagine podcasting while being first time parents. You two are champs and also nuts. 😊 Thank you for sharing your story. I think a lot of parents including me can relate to your story and those emotions . Your part of the club
Sarah and Adrienne was my favorite pod of all time. They had the best banter ever recorded in an automobile, and then in a Covid Zoom. It’s too bad they couldn’t make it work. Their chemistry was comedy magic club. Congrats on da Baby!
This was the sweetest & informative no one talks about what’s going to happen to you! Can’t wait for the special Sarah! Congrats to you both, hope to get a pt 2 🥲✨
Thank goodness everything went well. My son's mom went into shock and I was taken out of the room with my son. That moment was both the happiest moment and the scariest. Didn't know wether she would survive and I just had to wait in silence with my son for about 2hrs. She came back fine but I was so afraid of something happening to her. Btw that B**** remarried. Still happy to have my son 🙏🏾
That was so sweet. I can’t believe what you guys went through and I realize now how lucky I was for both my deliveries to have a private room and vaginal births. Joe is so in love with Sarah and the baby and it’s beautiful to witness.
Aww love that I found this episode! I was literally in hospital while you recorded this having my FOURTH boy 😂😂 I also had to have an emergency c-section. First one. It was fine. I’m 39 so that’s probably my last 😅. So happy for you guys! You crack me up. Congratulations. 🎉
You guys look so tired!!😂. Mine is almost 10 and I’m still exhausted😂 It’s the ambient stress of responsibility. Even when you get sleep back, You are Always responsible for his well being and that is Always going to keep you rev’d up and tired. Be gentle with parents folks. You never know what they are dealing with.
Congrats! Things have definitely changed in the past 18 yrs since having my youngest. They used to break your water with what looked like a giant crochet hook. Adding to the PTSD, during the last pre baby Dr visit, the Dr. did what I assumed was the normal cervix check and instead he “stripped the membrane” to start the dilation process prior to being induced. That hurt worse than childbirth.
As a very long time listener, this Comment is for Sarah- judging strictly from Podcasts since your child was born, Joe has been funnier, more excited, and more creative. You and your child are the only real change- thanks from us comedy Fans, Sarah!
There are bad nurses, nurses with maybe preconceived notions about who you are as a person and they proceed as such, but all in all nurses are great, amazing people.
Great episode! My wife and I just had our baby on 10/19. Cool to hear Joe and Sarah’s experience in comparison to ours. Best wishes to the happy family!
hey Joe huge fan This was shockingly similar to our experience. Really cool you shared all this. I'm passing along to a few friends who are expecting their firstborn next year. congratulations to you both - all the best
You will sleep again if you start sleep training by an appropriate age. We did sleep training starting around 5-6 months and by maybe 9 months our daughter was sleeping most nights from 6:30pm to 6am. She would occasionally wake up once in a while overnight but we alternated whose night it was to deal with it so you at least got a solid 8 hours sleep every 2nd night. You’ll get there sooner than you think.
You two are so damn adorable and I'm so happy for you. It's blatantly obvious you both are amazing parents already and I can't wait to raise him vicariously through you, so don't screw it up:)
Congratulations to you guys ! Things will get a lot easier in 12 years then it’ll really suck for 8 then much better. You’re gonna love it I promise ❤😅
This was the episode we’ve all been waiting for. It’s great seeing you two together. Cherish these years because I’ve got 3 of these little f*** ers. They are in their 20’s now and they are just….awful😫 Anywho….you got plenty of time ,so,enjoy😁😳
This was awesome. You guys are def an inspiration. I am a parent and know a wee bit about medicine, please learn some stuff about pathophysiology. And def take a CPR class. And make sure everyone who watches your baby at the very least watches a CPR video on RUclips done by a qualified professional (actual class is recommended tho). Or don’t take my advice, that’s a good choice too. You two seem to already be incredible parents! I’m gay
Congratulations
Zayum buddy I’m due in Feb wanna send some monay my way? 👀
I love how Sarah complained less than Joe and she had the baby 😂
That’s our basket of anxiousness funcle Joe!
