Absolutely love this game. Its city building mechanics aren't as deep and complex as Cities: Skylines, but the in-depth political simulation makes up for it for me personally. Also, mixed use zoning, because duh. How has C:S not thought of that yet? That is one of the hallmarks of a central city.

I've found out myself a few days ago that the residents, unlike in Cities Skylines for instance, don't complain about 'noise' when you build mixed zoning like that. So I was thrilled and kept mixed the 2 zones so the traffic wouldn't be ludicrous. This game seems like it leans heavily on reductionist notions regarding the political/economic spectrum. The whole _"left vs right"_ shorthand is more or less fine when you're talking about social values, but when you introduce other metrics like size/type of government or economy, demographics, law, etc. it becomes woefully inadequate due to being over binary. Like, what if I want to build an economically socialist society that rejects capitalism and the use of central banks, but I don't want it to be communist, and I want it to be socially traditional with private property and gun rights still intact, with the government issuance of a value-based currency instead of fiat? That's not rightwing or leftwing. It's third positional. I doubt this game lets you do that, and if it does, the in-game language would sort of confuse things.
