Amazing. Grown up with sim city on NES, to Simcity2000 and so on... unbelievable how far Video games have gone. The name Maya also fits perfectly..Maya=Illusion. This city really gives you the illusion of being a real city
But in a game like Cities Skylines, it takes incredible skill and experience to actually get a city that looks like that. The game pushes toward uniformity and a lack of detail, so to make a city this really takes a lot of talent.
As someone who lives less than an hour from the centre of Kobe, I think my favourite parts are the mountainside transitions: the use of the concrete retaining walls that are so quintessentially Japanese is very well done. Of course all the Kobe buildings etc., Amagasaki interchange, and what not are fantastic and scream "this is Kansai", but I think its the road edges around the hills that really tell me "this, THIS, is Japan".
I had no idea it was Japan until I saw the mountain side and I was like wait a minute lol Then saw the comments saying it was a real city, not a fictional one

Outstanding build as always! One can only imagine what you could do when the next-gen Cities Skylines game comes out. I just hope the next one would fix some immersion breaking issues that can't be easily modded from the base game. Stuff like the numerous look-alike citizens, bunched-up together that look like their floating while walking-or implementing ray-traced lighting and shadows like on those cruise ship lights over the water. As to what we could expect: better AI interaction? 8k textures? Or maybe ust being able to quadruple the density of what Maya could be, while maintaining solid performance with vastly improved draw distance. Basically, if GTAV with Natural Vision Evolved became a city sim builder. Sounds like a dream for now, but these builds give me hope!
