For its bright colors that little bird deserves to go on the window of wonders 🥰 but it really was a bead day. I can’t get enough of the amount of beautiful beads you and other mudlarkers find!💐
When you pulled out the little leg, Gail, I said “it’s a leg!” in the same pitch and meter as you said it. Love little arms and legs. And that little faceless doll! The beautiful Cardinal is a treasure! Your channel just brings me delight!
@@karenwheeler2610 What a coincidence, so do I. It is a part of a set. A mirror, hair brush, large tortoise shell hair comb on a tray with embroidery between the glass. Mine is not silver though. I'd say it is more 1950-s. I have an Art Deco silver set but the comb included is very small and it does not have a silver trim rather silver casing for the comb. Not quite the same.
The bit of long and narrow silver is the spine of a fancy hair comb. The teeth and bone or ivory spine was sandwiched in the open channel of the silver. This was a wonderful treasure hunt.
You are right about the heat tester for a kiln. The spikes are designed to 'slump' at certain temperatures and so a set like that will be used to be sure that your kiln is reaching optimum temperature. When running such a test in a larger kiln one places a 'set' in multiple places to see if the heat is consistant.
What a colorful collection of things you collected this week. The beads are gorgeous. Thank you for letting us sit on your shoulder while you hunt for things in the 4 shore.
Oh I forgot the little dark green bottle where she found the brass and mother of pearl button. I absolutely love ya'lls videos, I never miss a one of them even the shorts. Love you guy's and I can't wait to save enough money to visit Scotland.
What another great video! I so enjoy when you get so close with the camera I feel as though I’m there with you. What a beautiful variety of gorgeous beads and you said it best they have been used for centuries for so many purposes. The bird was very special also. Thank you for being a Mudlarker. I look forward to every video. Keep up your good work. Lots of love from Diane in upstate New York ❤
I’m a first timer here and subscribeD. I’m also a beader and the amount of beans made me absolutely drool. The amount of history that you had in your hands with all the wonderful things you’ve got were incredible. It looks like you’re in a different area than my friends at Scottish mudlarking, Nicole and Craig
Greetings ladies from me, a retired Kiwi living in Queensland, Australia. What treasures you found! If I could beam up I would land beside you! I will check out your vlogs where you magically give new life to your finds. Thank you for sharing your fabulous pastime! Jo
That's the best finds I feel!! Just WOW! And silver coin! I'd be all about the coins as I love to collect if I ever come across any. The cannon reminds me of my two brothers little toys they had. Love just everything!
Chritopher collects. He got a little hobby work with Brittaniea coins he's on utube top 2. He got me collecting coins.. I'm waiting on 2 rare very rare 2022 Isle man gold soverighns with a angel and Robin on the back. Only 150 made. 1 in 154. 400. 000 164 million can own one and I got two... Now that's Christopher for you. Addictive....
Bountiful find you did find today. Such a cute little girl, matching her happy face doll head she found as an official mudlarker. She will be one of the many mudlarking, mudlarking forward
Fantastic treasures today! I can't believe the number of unusual finds. Please put the bird in the window though, then she can look out at her friends. I can't list my favorites, they are too many. I hated to have the video end today. Thanks for sharing, Gail and Alex. You made my day a happy one.
It was a Bead Day! Always wonderful to see all that you find...but who doesn't love a good bead? Did you determine if the green double-pyramid or the orange barrel-shape or the orange flower was Neiger Bros.? All in all, a great morning and marvelous finds!
The winged buckle would be a sweet pendant. Add a small loop at the top and you have angel wings. So many beautiful treasures to find and share. I too love old beads. I have collected old trade beads as well as other vintage beads. They are as you said in the video, money, decoration, and religious to so many cultures.
What a great day! My favorite find is the little bird, it's so cute. I also really like that mouthwash bottle and the decorative piece of silver that looks like a book binder. Thanks again for taking us with you, I had a wonderful time. 😊
So many amazing and beautiful finds! Love all the colors and variety. That digger cup was too neat. I've seen people use broken half cups like that glued to a saucer and hung on a wall for planters or pencil organizers.
This area you lark in is so fabulous for producing such wonderfully interesting objects. I think its one of my favourite places for you to go Larking. That little bird was such a sweet find. I loved that. The long filigree sliver thing, looked very much like a piece they used to put on the back of a comb. Which made up a set of dressing table fancies for a lady, or gent. Matching brush for hair, a mirror and maybe a clothes brush to finish the set. Just a thought. I love these adventures you take us all on. You never know just what you'll find. Plus i love to see what you make with those items too. Giving them a new life. Making them beautiful and useful, or just as special things to just look at and wonder at. Very enjoyable. Thanks for taking us along. Xx
I feel like the little girl doll with her hands clasped to her chest; thank you for the time machine to the past. It was a lovey ride and I will be back for more as usual!
I just love watching your channel, you are both so special. This is my happy place. I forget about my worries and get fully absorbed into virtual mudlarking with you. I jump for joy in my heart when you find such amazing treasures. I'm so happy when all the beautiful items are rescued, and brought back to life. They really made things so well back in the day. Everything in this haul was amazing. 😍 I had an idea for all the toy soldiers who have lost life and limb. I was picturing a collage for the wall. A 3d collage on a piece of drift wood. A wall sculpture to commemorate all the soldiers that went to war. You are so talented. You could make a mould for a pudding doll head from a whole one. Then add it to one that is missing a head. So much art can be made with everything. Well done. Yay. 😁🎨💐
I only can dream of finding a place like y’all have around y’all. You find some of the most unique and beautiful things. I love all the beads and when Alex said she wondered if one was uranium I thought to myself I would absolutely love another one of y’all’s night lark with us torch’s.
@@LaurenOliviArtwe all say "y'all" but the southern accent varies so much. People who aren't native southern speakers often hear one accent, The Clampetts from The Beverly Hillbillies. 😆
This was one of your best videos yet. Very enjoyable. Too many interesting finds to pick a favorite. The little bird was sweet. Love your channel. Keep up the excellent work.
I adore beads, so for me, this is one of the best larks of the year. And I especially enjoy the little bird. I agree that it should go in the window of wonders. Meanwhile, I am looking forward to your next hunt. Take care!
Our favourite finds were that very colourful bird, the toy cannon and that. Cute little doll with the hair bob. Gail, perhaps you could use your wonderful skills to bring her back to life with painted facial details, makeup in the fashion of the 1920’s? It is the hair that implies that period.
What a wonderful lark, so many fab finds. How do you clean your glass treasures they are always so sparkly clean as if new .thank you ladies a joy to watch.
I hope you don't mind, but I have just made the two of you saying "hello" into my phone's ringtone........it's brilliant!!.
Oh that's so cool!
Brilliant
Still my favorite Mudlarking duo! Thanks for another wonderful video! ❤️
For its bright colors that little bird deserves to go on the window of wonders 🥰 but it really was a bead day. I can’t get enough of the amount of beautiful beads you and other mudlarkers find!💐
Likewise ❤️
I agree! The little bird is the winner for the window!
A few of your finds may be “Bake-a-lite” not glass.
I think the brass handle is a actually a spreader for the pearl handle you've got.
Do you think that diamond shaped bead is made from Jade, perhaps?
What a great day, of course any day outside finding treasure is a great day.
My vote for the window of wonders is the beautiful little bird 🐦
@19:30 That is a sterling silver hair comb cover! good find!!
Watching your videos is like opening a treasure chest each week 👏👏
When you pulled out the little leg, Gail, I said “it’s a leg!” in the same pitch and meter as you said it. Love little arms and legs. And that little faceless doll! The beautiful Cardinal is a treasure! Your channel just brings me delight!
I love the bird! What a great find for Darcy!
The little bird and the sweet girl with the clasped hands are my faves - but what lovely finds overall!

Love you girls, amazing the way you do your show, beautiful things you found. ♥️
So precious that bird, great find for the window. Great video ladies.
WOW. What absolutely beautiful finds. Thank you my lovelies xx Teresa 🇦🇺❤
Could the decorative silver strip be from a comb, one you'd find as part of of a dressing table or travel set? Great finds overall, love them all xxx
Yes l thought that 👍
I agree, it's the trim from a comb
My thought also.
I have one very similar on a tortoise shell comb sitting on my dresser. It is sterling silver!

Incredible lark! That little bird is the best find of all. Thanks for all the fun.
Wow how the silver shines after all these years. Just Amazing 😻!
I love how you ladies had an amazing day
The faceless doll 🙏😍 made diminutive and has become more so with time. She's hypnotizing in a way and so lovely.
Thanks ladies 🤗🤗
really nice group of tiny finds today sweet Alex
I love watching your finds especially the tiny glass bottles!
This looks like SO MUCH FUN! I enjoy finding stone tools from the Native Americans near my home. 😊

You can never have too many beads!! What fab finds as always ladies. x
I really enjoyed your words about your appreciation for beads, it was beautifully said.
More great find to add to your fabulous collection!!
Loved the little berry bead in the river! What a great find in amongst the all the other little Berries, great eyes well recovered.
Wow definitely a bead day my favourite is the little bird 🐦 that should be in the window of treasures xx

I love when you find beads, too! Each individually is a treasure. You could make quite the necklace with all the beads you have found on your hunts.
