I work in mental health. The REAL problem is that AHCCCS is denying claims submitted by substance abuse providers and they have had to close their doors and they is a lack of residential recovery places so all those people are now in the streets. The lack of payments made providers desperate and a lot of them did billing fraud which made AHCCCS cut reimbursement rates and new providers having to wait until the moratorium lifts to be able to serve clients. And then the health dept started citing new providers because they were not seeing patients that they couldn't get reimbursed for!
I appreciate ur insight and that could be a big reason why homelessness is getting worse. But at the same time, if u really think about it, there is help out there available to anyone who really wants it. it may limit certain options, but even those without insurance can get help in programs like AA for example. (Trust me I know those programs can be difficult for some people, including myself!) But u see tons of people that finally hit a point so low they had no choice but to get sober no matter what or face death/prison/insanity, etc.

Take this and add the out of control cost and lack of housing Phoenix and cities across the nation has some real serious problems .

Lol They tried that crap in the back alley at my house. It worked for them about two Hours they are gone😂😂 And trust me, they won't ever be seen again. And now it is nice and quiet back there in my alley!!!!!!!!

So lets just make them camp somewhere else instead of trying to actually fix the problem. I also love how they will give shelter to illegals, but they don't care at all about our own people who are struggling

Send a Bus up there from Cailforiona, We have Lots and Lots of sidewalks and bridges left to stake out tents and boxes left! The bus ticket sure would save a lot of money! Compared to paying a clean-up crew.
