Many metal snobs will hate on Tim, but truth is: he’s an insane and innovative guitar player. It’s not just the skills, he’s actually created a new sound (that many other are now emulating). There’s a reason why Steve Vai did a collab with them, as young as they are.
As a guitar player I can confirm that Tim's playing is incredibly unique and incredibly, incredibly difficult for any professional guitar player to replicate.
@@DJ-pp4mt If you can play just 30 seconds of any of their harder songs in full tempo, I'd love to see that. Can you post it on your channel? Looks like you already have one video uploaded.
Tim is the Motsart of modern music. His playing and compositions are nothing less than incredible. I have been playing almost 40 years and he makes me look like an amateur. I'm not mad at Tim, I'm just extremely impressed and envious.
Im playing guitar for about 18 years i am not bad myself but this guy is not normal the things he does harmonics an difficult cords and playing evrything so clean is unhuman this guy i would say is one of the best im a big fan of the Dooo but this guy is somthing els
I love that someone else recognized that. The whole song is awesome, but that part is just stupid insane. As a person who has played guitar for 20 years, I am absolutely mind blown and fully humbled.
@@aclock2 My dad was playing guitar in the 1960s, even with how awesome this playing is, I feel like people would understand it. Also I was more talking about the usage of the word witchcraft.
it's amazing how accustomed to playing something like this the body becomes. he is probably daydreaming while he is playing this at this point. just letting his muscle memory do 80-90% of the work that he has done 10000 times. incredible.
You’re more right than you know. In an interview he literally said that if he thought about it too much, he’d likely fuck it up. That it was about doing it enough times for body memory to take over.
@@notcompletelynormal I've been there in that mindset. Not that I was ever even half as good as Tim or Scotty...but I know the feeling. You almost TRY to avoid thinking about the next note bc its gonna be a slower process than just letting your muscle go where it's accustomed to going. The human body is strange. Its the same thing with jumpshots in basketball or popping a clean kickflip when skating.
@@beensavage390 there’s actually been made a bunch of studies that confirm that feeling. Experience+intuition beats taking your time pretty consistently. They’ve looked at stuff like firefighters having to make snap decisions, a profession where they kind of have to act faster than the brain’s top speed, if it has to weigh all factors to find the best, most logical course of action (wind speed, structural integrity, heat level, ignition source, type of fire, placement of others, potential backdrafts, etc), yet they almost always chose exactly that, especially if they’d been at it for a while. The brain and the body are wild. And it’s not for that type of stuff, it’s the same with things like trivia, your first thought tends to be the right one. There’s a bestselling book, “Thinking Fast and Slow” just about this phenomenon.
When i first saw him play this i thought it is literally impossible i am someone who is a very technical Guitarist(compared to normal Humans 😂). Now after 1 Year i can play it well but not as good as tim. He is truly Genius on the Guitar.

Does the sound or technique have a name?

His playing is absolutely amazing, but few ppl can do the same, but the way he compose is just impossible for others !
That honestly means alot considering I'm nowhere near a professional but I can play multiple polyphia riffs. Thank you man

Tim Henson and Max Ostro are the futur of guitare playing ❤
That final solo of his with all the hybrid picking, christ almighty.
Tim is the man !! He and Scottie LePage make such a great duo. Already legends this early in their lives is just amazing.

He annihilates a guitar so gracefully LOL

Probably one of my favorite reactions to him playing 💯! Love the reactions brother !
Imagine being the best guitarist in the 1960’s and seeing this guy. You’d actually think it’s witchcraft
The way you wrote that made it seem like the 1960s was the 1600s lol
@@ChiefBret 1960 was ancient for guitarists bro. Guitar only has like 150 years of history

I assume he can play this because he is so relaxed. He has been with an instrument in his hand for like 93% of his life I'm sure that doesn't hurt.
The fact that he wrote this song is just mind blowing. How anyone can even think this up is buddy ridiculous
i love how he dosent react to the intro but he goes crazy over the high pitched lick
dude it feels like his mustache is just gonna just fall out and wall around
3:15 until the end probably the craziest thing he’s ever written/played
He won guitar a long time ago, now he's just being snotty and I love it.

Killer mustache my guy!
And that guitar model was made just for them! And it's Tim's latest signature guitar from Ibanez
the guitar thanks him 🎸🙏🏼
He's clearly Noctis from FF XV
Bro can find the pick when lost
Have a look at The Dooo
Look at Marcin P. „ Moonlight Sonata“
