Honestly I think that the game "routine" displays perfectly how Ryan goes out of his way to get different ending all for our entertainment. I just think we should appreciate that a bit more.
In the previous street I lived it was full of alcoholics. Saw people lying on the floor passed out like that on a daily basis. Just went about my day. Always astonished me that these people thought it was the normalist thing in the world. Also can't believe nobody drove over them when they were passed out in the middle of the street. People never cease to amaze me. One positive: I've never drank a drop of alcohol in my life.
the first ending was where the guy on the floor was you and you were stuck in a time loop. Not the guy escaping your basement, depending on what you choose to do at night changes the situation.
