I agree but also believe it will change quickly, you can see the lvmh buisness practices very clearly with the cash cow products so i think this first collection is more a proof of concept for comercial viability and to reintroduce her clients i think it will become more distinct over the coming collections
All of them look stylish, maybe a tad bit over the top but warranted. Like a casual wear but mixed between practical and fashionable. Great collection here. Has a classic touch to it, it's bougie, edgy and sleek with a modern touch.

And so she returns and it’s like she never left.

In her absence the Celine girlies have flocked to: The Row; Khaite; Sacai; Peter Do; Victoria Beckham and the list goes on and on. Cos a high street option also has the aesthetic at a lower price point… I don’t believe this time around she’s going to be the juggernaut she was previously bc there are so many more designers that filled the void! Time will tell and inevitably I’ll be proven wrong 🤣

I love the collection and I think it was worth the wait but some of the price points are a little cray cray for a debut drop. I know Phoebe has absolutely proven herself as a luxury designer and some pieces have already sold out so we know she has a loyal audience who will purchase the clothes, but some of the items don’t justify the price….
The thing about like skirts to me is you can't make a skirt that is like styled and draped the way it would be for a woman and put it on a man and have it look good. the structure of their legs and hips, even these super thin European type models is not the same it looks silly. there's a reason that skirts have been developed, the way that they are to look the way that they do on women. take all of that like intellectualizing about lines and shapes, and just put it on something else which has completely different lines and shapes, it doesn't make any sense. And it makes me think of like kilts like what's going on with those, and kilt is not just a skirt. The way it sits isn't the same the length isn't the same the material is not the same.
