Actually, there is a spoiler that Michael is changing to Michaela. It's not going to pan properly because in regency era it's still frowned upon so idk how they are going to do it.
I will not watch it if they change it to Michaela. Not because it would be a female love interest but because I am tired with all the changes they make. I fell in love with the books and they change more and more. I don't like it
I think they did. I have no problem with the LGBTQ community. But I'm a stickler when it comes to books. Stick to the original story. Changing it is a huge turn off for me.
the 3rd season even though I enjoyed Pen getting what she should however benedict's story line is just extra and not needed in the direction it went. As for Francesca, I will be beyond disappointed if they make the change from Micheal to Michaela and make her bi/gay? If it forwards the story for the story's sake and not for DEI and woke B.S. fine, but for this, they will have to rewrite her entire story unless it ends up that Michaela has a brother Micheal whom we will meet during her story line. There are kids involved in Francesca's storyline. I know the writers have taken liberties with the story and so far, it hasn't been ruined and the actors have done a fabulous job, but the writers need to think about this before it is too late. They shouldn't deviate from the original author's story just for DEI sake. Netflix please don't ruin this anticipated and appreciated series.
I'm furious that they are going to completely rewrite Francesca's story. I'm all for inclusion, but there simply isn't any part of her story that can work or be the same if they change the gender of Michael. They can't marry. They can't have their two kids. A she can't become the new Earl, which is also key to the story as he agonizes over having to be the Earl AND taking Francesca as he feels he's erasing John. A she wouldn't have been John's best friend or the next heir. A she wouldn't have gone to India and become a businessman to avoid his want for her. No one would care if a she were caught with a she, which is a big part of the drama and intrigue of the story every time they were in a room alone together. Literally not a single piece of their story could even happen if he is a she instead. Francesca on her own is quite boring, as is John. It is ONLY Michael that makes her story worth reading/seeing and he also makes it the BEST of all the books! They simply cannot do this to us. WE MUST MAKE A LOUD FUSS ABOUT THIS! It's not too late for them to change it back to the original story. Look, we'd buy Benedict as Bi, or even Eloise as gay (though she needs to get married and have kids too as the whole series is about Violet getting her kids married and getting grandkids), as of them all, she's the most likely to be gay, personality-wise, but Francesca simply isn't gay or even bi. It doesn't suit her personality at all. They simply cannot make this big of a change to a main character, esp her story. Who's with me???
It doesn’t look that way to me. Honestly, you know you can’t expect a series of 8 books adapted for streaming, won’t change anything. It’s not keeping up with the times. An adaptation produced 15-20 years after publication of books, and is going to be a classic series, that mothers will share with their daughters, deserves to not miss a chance to be inclusive. I felt like you when the Matthew McFadyn version of P&P came out. It’s very diff than the near word for word of the original Austen book version with Colin Firth. Now I enjoy both. Who couldn’t.
I’m with you! I’m pissed! How in the world is that going to work?! You stated all my concerns as well! Why must they mess everything up with my FAVORITE book!
@@ellenritt7667 I'm all for some changes, and they have changed a LOT already, however...you can't fundamentally rewrite the entire story or it's no longer an adaptation of the source material at all. It's all new material with just some character names the same. That's not an adaptation. This show is very inclusive, which I love, but changing the entire story is a different thing. Everything that happens IN the story simply can't happen if they change the gender of the main character. No reason at all that a different character can't be changed to be gay or trans or a different gender, but not the MAIN character that then changes the entire story. Imagine for a moment S1, the adaptation of The Duke and I. Instead of smoldering, angsty Simon, we had Simone. How is Simone going to be a Duke? How is Simone going to marry Daphne and have 5 children after, don't forget, he tricked her by not telling HOW babies are made, and how is Simone getting damaged by her father for stuttering and not being the perfect heir when she'd never have BEEN the heir? Do you see how the story becomes impossible? It's no different with Francesca's story. Certain things simply must stay the same. Making Simon black in the series didn't change anything (even though certainly in that time, a black man certainly wouldn't have been a Duke, the actual story didn't need to change), making him Simone wouldn't even be the same story as the things that happen simply couldn't happen. For continuity alone it couldn't as the precedent alone already set IN the series indicates being gay is a hangable offense (as Benedict's art friend indicated), etc. There are things you can change and there are things you simply can't.
Oh man! Y’all are funny! I love Pen’s story. I can relate. Curly red hair, plain, taller than everyone until high school, buxom really early age which is really awkward smart, and a late bloomer. My fairytale started at 25. Met my soulmate and have been happily ever after for 38 years! I love underdogs! :) love the show and would love to see the Ravenels produced this way!
Just had the chance to watch the first half of season 3 at the end of this week. And even I can’t now wait to watch it. Good that I watched it alone so I can watch all again with my mom.
I guess they're skipping over Bennedict, yet again, and do Eloise next season. At this point, they'll probably continue to skip over him, and do every other sibling before him.
I will blind eye all the mistakes from writers of bridgerton but I will hate it if they change the gender of michael I will not watch the series then but lets hope for the best and hope they do not change Michael genders pls don’t writers
And here we thought Eloise and Benedict were the coded gay characters. But I don’t mind the gender switch of Michael to Michaela. I know in Francesca’s book, Michael inherits John’s title and Francesca loses her baby, so does that mean she will keep her child? Idk but exciting.
Sorry for the error in the video😔, Francesca Bridgerton Love interest will be Michael Stirling who is a relative of John Stirling.
It's ok mistakes happen
I got all excited for nothing 😢 😠
It is only after John dies that she marries Michael right?
@@axelle-rosewalley1643yup
Yes. He dies after 3 yrs then she marries his cousin. When he was Wicked is the name of the book
You were right about everything 😭
🙏 🙏
Oh I hope the they didn't change Michael to Michaela.
I will be soooo pissed
Its going to be Michael only, just noticed the mistake I had made in the video. Sorry for the mistake

i am deeply sad to lose Penelope's LWD' identity...

I was hoping Penelope had the first boy!
same
This is his speculation does bot mean it’s true

I agree. I am also all for inclusion but this would break the story.

Op said they made a mistake it’s Michael not Mikaela
Looks like there is gonna be lots of twists in part2. Eagerly waiting for colin and Penelope marriage

It's infuriating that Pens mother says she was out there 3 seasons when she purposely dressed her like a child!😡
Just had the chance to watch the first half of season 3 at the end of this week. And even I can’t now wait to watch it. Good that I watched it alone so I can watch all again with my mom.
Thanks for the video! Don’t beat yourself up about the mistake regarding Francesca. 😊great video!
Now Penelope can get to spend all the money she made. Her mother must be really mad that she didn't get it.
The supposed money inherited from their grand aunt who passed away is from what Penelope earned as Lady Whistledown, at least in the book
Thanks for the clear overview. I can't wait for Thursday 6/13!
Her new look is lovely. Very flattering.
Mesmerizing change
"intimate moments"
I hope they get married because if not I’ll be so disappointed
Marriage will surely happen. You won't be dissappointed
I think they are making a huge mess of everything. I understand in using artistic license but they are messing around with the other siblings stories.
True
I guess they're skipping over Bennedict, yet again, and do Eloise next season. At this point, they'll probably continue to skip over him, and do every other sibling before him.
No Michael 😢q
Yes
He comes later.
Prudence and Philippa gave birth to a Baby girl, Penelope gave birth to the next Lord Feathrington. Watch the Show please.
Can’t wait to see the last episodes
Just few more days
Not so sure I like all of this. I was hoping Pen would have the first boy. Also not so sure I like the whole Michaela thing...
I disagree with some of these spoilers.
So lady, whistle down will be in other seasons
I will blind eye all the mistakes from writers of bridgerton but I will hate it if they change the gender of michael I will not watch the series then but lets hope for the best and hope they do not change Michael genders pls don’t writers
Knew girl M was a lie
😊

Your wrong ana few points!
Nope won’t deal with a female Michael.
This is awful! People need to stop using AI voices. The misprnounciations are awful!
