I’ve noticed that the Asian aesthetic is cleanliness. That is extremely important for me. Being able to keep your makeup fresh in the component & free of contaminants is also very important. So many people have allergies to what used to be common ingredients. I’m glad that Tir Tir is bringing their innovations to the U.S. market
I watched a Korean influencer that showed how to apply this to get the best results. Press down into the product once, then use the inside of the lid to make sure that it’s evenly spread on the sponge and to remove excess product. The layer you put onto your skin should be as thin as possible! I think that it’s great that they have expanded their shade range! I’m not sure if I can find my right shade but I might get a mini to try. Thanks for sharing your vast knowledge with us, truly appreciated! 💕
I got this foundation because of MissDarcei, and I absolutely LOVE it! She and I are the same skin tone and when I saw how well it matched on her, I was like “shut up and take my MONEY!!!” I am “the only available makeup in my shade was Fashion Fair” years old, and that was EXPENSIVE. Fenty who? We didn’t have that. They still need to have more inclusivity on the darker skin ranges, but it’s a start and they did WAY better than another K-makeup brand Who Shall Not Be Named that tried to pass off black face paint as inclusivity. I can’t tell you how much it means to find an affordable foundation that I only have to buy one of instead of two to get a perfect color match. If I’m having to blend two or more foundations to get something that works, that “affordable” foundation stops being affordable.
I’ve been spoiled by Asian compacts. Im really finding western style foundations: aka in a bottle, dropper or squeeze tube to be cumbersome and hard to travel with and to use in general… I’m tired of having gloopy product on the back of my hand, a metal palette, or an over soaked sponge. I love cushion foundations so much I’ve bought empty components and put my favorite western foundations in them. So far I haven’t noticed any spoilage, and the cushion applicator is so much better than any sponge I’ve used: no more weird circles or streaks. It’s far easier to travel when your mirror, foundation and ‘sponge’ are all in one cute compact.
I get my compacts off of Amazon. The nice thing is they separate the cushion case/foundation component from the compact and most components share the same dimensions so you can replace the inner part without having to buy another compact. Liquid foundations work best, the runnier the better. Thicker consistencies can work but you need to wait for the sponge to absorb it before adding more. Also most compacts aren’t going to hold and entire fluid ounce. If it’s a cream, you can remove the sponge and depot the foundation. For the liquids you need to ‘inject’ the sponge with the foundation to get it soaked and then pour the rest at the bottom. If the foundation doesn’t come with a dropper, I will use a crafting syringe and pump/squeeze the foundation there. It’s a bit extra but it makes sure that the sponge is soaked with product. The cream is usually stable enough to not roll around too much in the cushion case. Before I depot anything I sanitize the surface I’m working on and tools with rubbing alcohol, even the sponge, and use gloves to minimize germs.
I also love tir tir, because they released more neutrals than cools or warms. Some of the neutrals will scew in one direction, but I love that they have so many to choose from. Most brands seem to do the opposite, and that never made sense to me. I would think it would make your products easier to wear for more people.
I got to sample test 29N and it was a PERFECT match for me, I was shocked! I heard so much about it oxidizing but the sample never oxidized for me, i almost couldn't tell i was applying product to my face on the first tap; as a brown skin girl, it was amazing to see! However, I can't afford to get it right now, so just know I'm here if you wanna give away that 29N 🤣
I have been DYING to try this. As a 19 year old brown girl who never had a foundation before (only skin tints/bb creams) im super excited for this to be my first foundation. Really hope I can get my hands on one since they don't directly sell here !
There are small groups in many cities that help women who are transitioning from homelessness get outfitted with job interview clothing, shoes, and makeup. I used one of them myself- I'm a couple years off the streets myself. I wonder if you guys- influencers- might consider donating extra PR makeup to these organizations. It's really important to women who are trying to feel human and valid again.
I love it, especially on my under eyes. I'm 40 but I look much younger- however I've noticed some fine lines around my eyes. I really like how the cushion foundations cover, but are super hydrating and don't settle in your lines.
I got mine (same shade, 23N!) last week and have been having fun playing! This product has WAY move coverage than I'm accustomed to, but it's pushing my skills and my full face last night looked so nice.
Happy to know there's a new option because I LOVED my Clinique Supercity Block BB Cushion Compact SPF 50 but it was discontinued in the US around 2019.
what I love about this foundation is that it's not sticky and heavy. even with the coverage, it's really light on the skin. I sometimes forget I have make up on 🙂
Miss Darcie initial try on with the darker shades made me want to try!! Your breakdown of how full coverage it is with a thin product makes me really want to buy now. Application is so flawless

I’m 54 and been looking for a foundation that’s thin and lasts its an odd combination but I often work at night and need my show face on. Anyway this tirtir is the best foundation I’ve ever used. It’s unbelievable. So thin and looks like skin it’s just incredible. All day and even during monsoons it’s staying on and looks great.
If they made blurring, I'd try it. The fact it can go full coverage and begins at medium is attractive, but it's just not enough for me to wanna buy it. Foundations are too hit and miss and knowing it does nothing to cover pores makes it not worth my money- yet. Thanks for the review!
I have to say that I'm really really loving this foundation. It's so dang easy to apply and the longer I wear it, the better it looks on my skin (I'm 58 and have fine lines and am super dry). Once it dries down, it's so easy to layer color cosmetics because it doesn't move at all. I don't need concealer under my eyes when I use this. It did take some getting used to because the formula is unlike any traditional foundation I've ever used. I have to make sure to moisturize my skin very well because if I don't, it can make me feel dry. Lasts until I remove it with oil-based cleanser and I can count on looking great for hours on end. I could go on and on.
