  • Shining Light Mom and author, Kelly Buckley, returns to my Messages of Hope show to discuss her newest resource for dealing with grief: The Path: A Journal from Pain to Purpose. This journal offers a guide to writing about the deep and sometimes complex parts of loss, which Kelly knows too well after the death of her son. We can recover! Listen in and be inspired by someone who's done just that. (And for a reminder that we can always find reason for joy and laughter even after grief, enjoy the little blooper at the end of this video!)

Thank you both for a wonderful video. It really helps me find motivation to live my best life. I've had two very major losses... Elizabeth 3/27/16 (my granddaughter who I helped raise,,, she drowned). October 28, 2022 the man who came back into my life in July 2021. We were making plans for spending the rest of lives together..then he got very sick and died very quickly. I only recently started to feel able to live life fully for my children and other granddaughter and for the spirit of Elizabeth and Angel. I found you, Suzanne, a couple weeks after Angel passed away and you are one of the special people who have helped me move forward. I'm so grateful for your time, your efforts and just you. ❤️

Thank you, Catherine. You are proof that hanging on through unimaginable pain can allow time for healing and for peace to return. Blessings.

Wow--I love her interaction with the man who lost his dog. She paused, let him open up about his grief, and then a wonderful connection resulted. It's a good reminder to not think lightly of others' pain. This will stick with me. Thank you, Kelly and Suzanne!

Thank you for sharing these experiences. I feel disconnected and lost since my mom past away in June 2021. There is sadness and grief and longing as I look for signs from her across the veil

My dog died.....then my cat 2 yrs later....They were my only "child" and its more devastating than any human I known~(my ex fiance died I didn't even cry) Grief is grief, it's not measured by size. I journal too, but I can't write...I wanted to write something about my journey of grief too.

TG, I understand about your fur children. Please look for my video here on RUclips, "do pets have souls?" ... there are actually several videos here about animals in the afterlife. If journaling with pen and paper isn't work for you, try typing. If that doesn't feel right, make a recording. It's a way to talk to your pets in spirit. Blessings.

I thought the first blessing was, ever had the time spending here together, at least that's how I feel about my babies...So to the point, "we can go on another day...." very true...I was just thinking about regrets I have.....All we have are, the present.
