- this little bird was found while cutting grass he cant fly and wasnt walking .He seem to have a hurt leg so i took him in wasnt sure if he was going to make it ,but by morning he seem much better.his feet seem twisted and he cant grab on to things like a branch but he seewms to hop the best he can .i hoping in time he heals and can set him out to be free .so enjoy the little clip i made

It's too late now but he needs different sized perches. When he's on a flat surface help him open his claws. Bird I found had same issue and with a little work he was able to walk normally and grasp things with his claws like normal.
maybe if you can get in touch with an avian rehabilitator they can offer you some help. It looks to me like the poor little thing is going to have a hard time try to grasp ahold of branches, he may need to be in a sanctuary (for birds)

Oh poor bird but lucky to have you and you care ..Have seen too many feet like these an think they are reslut of getting caught in netting , oddly enough the sort that folk hang out with nuts in ..Right now am following a hooded crow near where I live ,It has one such foot and the other so far is ok .Other birds try to steal it's food It trusts me and comes real close so can at least make sure it gets a full share . thats where it holds on at. One up others down. They grip twigs and hold on that way

it looks like his rear toes are either dislocated or broken, they can often be mended using a kind of jig or splint
Long time no see.. Just been re watching this I have a crow same .Only he is lucky in that one leg is ok .He was bullied by the others but no more .I call him Mr Remarkable I check on the area 3 times a week and he meets me .The others don't mob him same as before ... Birds are wonderful ( as is all nature ) x

Sorry .Only thing is get trust of bird and try to make sure other birds don't bully.If the bird trusts you it will be sure of food .How old is the bird and are you able to find a bird rehabilitation place .Greetings and like I say sorry for may late reply .
Hello Debbie ..Haven't seen you in ages so hope you are well and busy with life .I have two hooded crows like this .They are luckly in that each has a good leg .The other has a bunched foot and is now keeping the bad leg drawn up into the body .We have no rescue groups so each week the birds and I see each other .The latest has started to come to me and make a one legged landing .The other was bullied by the others but that's stopped now ,else they get nothing ..A part of me would like to see if a vet will help .Any ideas if this condition can be sorted ..

The problem with this POOR LITTLE GUY is he's on a SLIPPERY FLOOR and he has NO PERCH to learn how to grip with. Common sense if you have ever seen or been around birds before.

what ended up happening to this little guy with twisted feet? Can you please respond to this message as its an emergency. i have the same situation in my hands as we speak. i want to know if there is any hopes for the little guy i have right now. he seems not to be able to even stand on his feet. he is laying on its side. he was able to fly after 30 minutes of having him in my home. but when he lands, he falls over. he also cannot grasp with his feet. i dont know what to do! unfortunately its memorial day today and the rescue spot is not answering. i would love to hear your feed back. thank you so much. with love, Alejandro
It looks like he is suffering, maybe you should euthanize him. One time a bird crashed into my grandmas front window then my uncle went out and had to hit him with a snow shovel. My grandma was so sad, she had to get her cracked window fixed too.
Your grandparents didn't have to do that. The bird was most likely just stunned. It would have gotten back up after awhile and no that bird is far from suffering . You and your family should stop euthanizing animals you think are suffering cause if it was up to you you would have killed this bird over an easily fixed back toe issue. No offense meant but you should just drop the animal you think is suffering at a vet or rehab center.
