Hi I'm Wendy a resin artist and crafter.
In this video I am using fusible film to create Dichroic film that is so stunning and fun to make too.
Dichroic film is something I had been searching for, for many years and thanks to @daniel..cooper I now have the means to make it.
I show you how to make and create beautiful pieces, and give you useful tips along the way.

White background for the cobalt blue, definitely! I mean, I LOVE green, but when something says "blue" I wanna see BLUE...and that's such a gorgeous blue! 😍

For sharing this video, I too fell in love with the dichroic film Daniel showed on his channel, but to get that paper was costing more in P&P than the stuff itself because of coming from the US, but since you enlightened me to look for fusible film, well let’s just say some is on its way to me 🤣🤣 I found another company that’s different to the 2 you mentioned, so thanks again !, I’m so excited for it to arrive now,

I have some of these films from Little Windows, but I'm still on a search for heavy gauge cellophane in bigger sizes to try. But I did find 4" x10ft drills of Angelina film on Amazon US, for a very good price. They come in 19 colors. I plan on ordering all 19.

Love your enthusiasm, Wendy. I have also seen people run the Dichroic film through embossing folders for card making. Julie from pouring your heart out has also used a fantasy fibre.
Maybe I was really clear in the video 😂😂😂 I’ve used this film for a long time 😳 but never made my own 🤷♀️😀

Your pieces turned out gorgeous. I can’t wait to see what you do with the rest of them! I keep going to Amazon and looking at the fantasy film. I can’t seem to decide whether or not I want the sample pack with all of the colors or buy the longer lengths individually in just a few colors. I think I can get the blend that I want with just 3 or 4 colors, I’m just not sure what those colors are.😂 I definitely want to get some and start working with it tho. This is the second attempt at writing this comment.. the first time was in someone’s replies.😆 I’ve done that way too many times! I wish YT would have a ‘move to comments’ option, maybe there is a trick I don’t know about.😊 Thanks for another great video Wendy💜

I live in Canada I’ve been searching for this particular film through Amazon and many other links. What would I search for by name that it would be listed as in my area as the UK does not ship to Canada?

I used this when I was quilting. It also comes in stringy forms. Like what you would put in an Easter basket for grass.

That stuff is so cool! I really love the raspberry, too! I think the cobalt blue looks better with the white background. It looks more blue. They all remind me of dragon skin. It would be cool to see them in some kind of a dragon mold.

I don’t know if you know that Sharon Kerr from the resin supplies group sells the dichroic film and the fibres that can be fused in a laminator.

I think i know what you have planned and i've already attempted it and its such a fun technique to do. I actually added it to frog molds and everyone thought they were made with glass and dichromatic film.

I watched your video of how you use mica powder with alcohol to make a more vibrant color. You used it with the unicorn head mold and resin. Will that work with casting powder as well?

Well it would be like your Jesmonite. I use Mix2Mold or Resincrete.
@@jlhope1958 okay well some ‘casting powders’ pick up mica better than others.
Jesmonite not so well apparently, but magic pour did a really great job.
So have a little try and see if your brand will work 😀😀💜

HI Wendy, the film is gorgeous I must try to get some foil, with a heat gun too, ive watched some of Daniel Coopers videos and he has some really interesting pieces, that I realy love. @@Toonpish It was just a thought, as I have some large heart moulds, ut not the puffy ones as I couldent get them, and the look so cool. So I did two hearts, one with amber color for uv resin, and holographic silver glitter,, and the other with black with silver holographic silver. And put them back to back for a reverseable pendent, so I think the foil would look stunning done this way. That's where the idea came up.🦋❤️🦋

You are right, it is so fun! Ive used it to make coasters, jewelry and accents on my boxes I make. Even put it in frogs and lizard molds😊
Sometimes I crumple it up and sometimes just leave it flat the way it comes. There's so many options to get different effects. Have fun Wendy!!!

Hi, Wendy. As I have been doing mixed media art for years this film has been a regular. You can also get Angelina fibres (Just this shredded I think) ,but they are fun to work with as well . Keep having fun with it😊😊
