So question, I just bought a 2021 Trek rail 5 and it has the bosche CX motor. I don’t know which chip I need to purchase because when I bought the bike it had a upgraded Bosch Kiox Sport Connectivity. Can you inform me on which one would be best compatible? I would like the advance chip if possible. Thanks again!!!!
Good day, I need assistance with my Trek Rail 7 as the chip keeps cutting out apparently due to the battery heating up when riding in full power mode. Despite not riding in red mode for months, the issue still occurred in purple mode over the weekend. Additionally, there is an orange ring around the unit when the bike is switched on, suggesting the chip may not be compatible with this model. I am unsure how many more times this issue will happen.
Thanks for explaining that the countdown may vary on this video. On mine the '.4' was the only thing flashing and I thought I may have done something wrong.
I've installed eplus chip in powerfly 4 now speedo is saying 60km when I'm only going about 10km. This means motor cuts out at 25km. How can I fix speedo problem? Thanks.
Awesome !’… I’ve studied your videos and am buying !! But I’m torn between the regular chip and the advanced……do you have preference? Which would you recommend??
Hi there, me and my wife both have trek rail 9.8 carbon and there known for play in the battery's as they age due to carbon having zero abrasion resistance it can be managed with foam packing however we have both experienced a few battery disconnects over the past 6 how would this affect the countdown procedure?
The countdown will resume when the bike is turned back on. It will not immediately error if missed a few times but regularly missing or interrupting can lead to an error.
@@EpiceBikes oh that's good then it's happened to me twice and my wife once but I hear people are using velcro adhesive tape with perfect results. Do you ship to the UK?
What happens if the app gets closed. Will the chip still work or is it dependent on the app? My concern is with long term support of a product. Others have installed aftermarket rpm sensors of sorts on the rear wheel to trick the limiter and get around it this way. Again, biggest concern is being limited to an app which may not be around in the future.
Great video! I have a gen 4 trek Allant+ 7S with the high speed motor and 85nm update. Will this work on U.S. Trek ebikes? And will it truly unlock pedal assist up to 75kmh?
If you allow the chip to perform the anti tuning process shown at "9:49/11:19". Then you do not get the 504 Errors, The best method is to just let the bike turn itself off after the rides.
Has anyone that purchased this actually attained speeds of 75Km/h, (46 MPH) with a Trek Rail 5 on level ground? I just received one for Christmas a couple days ago. I can't believe I can't go above 20 MPH ( 32 Km/h )
Coming up to a jump and hitting the cut out is a pretty bad experience. Depends on the shop/service agent some are understanding some are not, Recommended to remove chip before taking for service.
@@EpiceBikes most riders are barely hitting lips or kickers at anything over 20 to be fair so I still don’t get that. Road use it makes sense I guess but I still don’t see a need over 30 which I think is fair. These units are hard wired as well from memory so removing the unit would still show tampering from my understanding. Which in a lot of cases voids warranty (even implied). So I guess my concern is more from that point of view what’s your experience?
@@Therobdog1000 I disagree I often hit jumps well over 25kph, and it is scary when the bike becomes a dead weight when you need that extra pedal before take off.
Most of my time riding downhill is spent well above 50 kph so I can see the idea behind this. But... I’ve ridden bikes that weighed 65 lbs so for me the extra weight isn’t really an issue on the down. This may be because I don’t actually ride an ebike though. So I suspect I don’t actually understand the whole problem.
The purpose of these videos is to show how to unlock the ebikes so they are no longer limited to 25km/h or 32km.h depending on where they are sold. Ride test videos will be created in the future showcasing the differences in performance once unlocked.
Why not? Do you realize how frustrating is continous assistance turning off/on/off during riding with speed ca 25 kph?? And why owner of e bike is limited to 25 kph when owner of road bike is not? What is it? Discrimination?
@@chriskros8858 ya seems crazy, all the different speeds ! My 21 specialized turbo vado sl assistance doesn't cut out till 28 mph , So im curious to see if this mod really does anything or not ?

how long does the countdown generally last?
The longer you have ridden above 25km/h the longer it takes, Usually 60 seconds or so

so just leave the bike on after a ride?
