The moments that I adore the most are when Austin cracks Jared up "I'll stop pissing!" 😂 (17:40) so fucking good, please never stop making videos together

I remember blasting Waking the Fallen at 13 years old in 2009 during my early middle school days. Those were some of the best days ever! Great taste man!
"This is why we became musicians right here..." -Austin Dickey. I felt that! ❤Music is my life and the love and excitement I have for it is like explaining sight to a blind man. I think I rediscovered that song somewhere on my way back to the Ren Fair this year. Played it on my next walk. Can't remember what initially led me back to that because I don't think I listened to Hip To Be Scared anywhere on either of those trips.
My go to for Anberlin was always “Paperthin Hymn”. Such a great band. And ending it on “Welcome Home!?” *chefs kiss. I feel like if Coheed and Cambria existed in the 70s and 80s they would be GOATs

The solo in the feel good drag changed my life. It still gives me chills every time I hear it. However, it needs to be the version from their Never Take Friendship Personal album, not the radio friendly version played in this video.
I’ve recently been listening to a lot of Pillar and Thousand Foot Krutch. Those were two of the most influential bands in my childhood music tastes, and they still hold up
I was so happy when you said P.O.D. I was obsessed with them, especially Satellite. Also, Anberlin! Was, and is, obsessed with them. So glad you mentioned Coheed and Cambria - "Welcome Home", as well. They'are a favorite band.
Funny how I haven't listened to "Whos Going Home With You Tonight?" in YEARS but it was randomly stuck in my head about 2 days ago and then it's the first song on this vid 🤣
Love the Spotify playlist idea! I’ve never heard of Coheed & Cambria (along with a couple others here) and was very very impressed with the sheer awesomeness of hearing something from like a decade ago for the first time in it’s shimmering glory! 🤘🏻

I'm 47, my slappers are all over from Fugazi, The Cure, NOFX, Sepultura, Obituary, N.W.A., Slayer, Steely Dan, MM & W, Beastie Boys, and if Course Pantera. "Grunge" was the wallpaper in every room. Great Video boys!!!
Okay, my 7 throwback bangers are 1: 36 Crazyfists- BloodWork 2: A7X- Unholy Confessions 3: LostProphets- Fake Sound Of Progress(sorry for mentioning this band, but their first 2 albums were immense, and I don't believe the other band members should be punished) 4: Endwell- Single And Loving It 5: SR71- Right Now 6: Killswitch Engage- My Last Serenade 7:Adema- Giving In
I had a 36 crazy fists nostalgia trip a few weeks back. Enjoyed every second. Also, I agree about lost prophets, as they had some real bangers. But I struggle to listen to them as all I can hear is his voice and can't get past it. (you'll be glad to know the rest of the band have gone on to other bands and careers and been successful)
I actually remember reading an article from ultimate-guitar where people were asked what they believed the hardest songs to learn are on the guitar, and CAFO by animals as leaders was number 1 on the list - harder than through the fire and flames
This video brought back soooo many memories XD. 2 songs back in my childhood days that I will always remember is Amon Amarth Where silent gods stand guard and slaves of fear. Just hits different every time. DevilDriver's end of the line and also when slipknot was in their prime, heretic anthem. so many songs so little comment space.
Omg the sleeping!!! Holy throwback. Saw them with atreyu, escape the fate, and Hollywood undead. 2nd show I'd ever been to. Craig mabbit jumped into the crowd from the balcony at Roseland ballroom NYC. Won a meet n greet with HU And caught a drumstick from atreyu!!!! To this day one of the best shows ive ever seen. Holy bringin back the memories tho. I think the intro of Your Betrayal takes some beating. Rest of the song is so-so, but that intro is just killer...

@@heavymetaphors the absolute LYRICS on the first two albums are enough to put them in the top tier of pop punk
And the record begins with a song of rebellion
Agreed.
Yea, youre definately in the clear to do at least 10 parts to this. Feels awesome reminicing
Austin looks like the type of guy you would expect to give your kids candy......in a van......with blacked out windows.
what can i say, im a nice guy lol
I'm 47, my slappers are all over from Fugazi, The Cure, NOFX, Sepultura, Obituary, N.W.A., Slayer, Steely Dan, MM & W, Beastie Boys, and if Course Pantera. "Grunge" was the wallpaper in every room. Great Video boys!!!
Okay, my 7 throwback bangers are
1: 36 Crazyfists- BloodWork
2: A7X- Unholy Confessions
3: LostProphets- Fake Sound Of Progress(sorry for mentioning this band, but their first 2 albums were immense, and I don't believe the other band members should be punished)
4: Endwell- Single And Loving It
5: SR71- Right Now
6: Killswitch Engage- My Last Serenade
7:Adema- Giving In
holy shit 36 crazyfist i forgot about tha band! ty for the reminder.
Adema's "Planets" is a great album.
Can we talk about “somebody I used to know” THIS WILL ALWAYS SLAP
That plays on my local Alt Rock radio station and it mother lovin' SLAPS!
i love the yoshi effect, spontaneous-ly magnificent my brubber
This video brought back soooo many memories XD. 2 songs back in my childhood days that I will always remember is Amon Amarth Where silent gods stand guard and slaves of fear. Just hits different every time. DevilDriver's end of the line and also when slipknot was in their prime, heretic anthem. so many songs so little comment space.
This is a good start for a new series of Childhood songs. You guys started really high. Memories of my sweet teenage years !! XD
Ahh this brings back so many memories. Still one of my all time fave gigs was Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my Valentine and Atreyu…so fucking amazing
Taste of Chaos! Unfortunately, when they got to my city, Bullet had to go back to the UK. That was who I was super excited for.
@@FightTheHorde ohhh that would be so frustrating!!!!
SAME
I saw them all at A7Xs Live in the LBC DVD show 🤘🏼
That's so weird! I honestly just remembered about The Sleeping the other day! Absolutely amazing band!
"Walk by a Hot Topic slowly and play this song and you will start a conversation with a deviant emo woman." - Austin Dickie, 2021.
Dude, I had no idea The Sleeping changed to Night Verses. Lift Your Existence is an incredible album!
Only evidence is like 12 bits on a Motorola flip phone lmao. Thanks dickie 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Dickey choosing The Sleeping was a surprise and made me so happy
10:00 Dickey got me time traveling back to the GH III bonus song section
For real tho!!!!!!!
This video brings up so much nostalgia, its insane. Whitechapel‘s somatic defilement just hit different back than and still does today! Cheers
On it with P.O.D. I rocked “Satellite” non-stop for 2yrs
This is me and my friends talking about music. Love it.
"my mom will stop feeding me" lol
Thanks Jared, I’m gonna go listen to feel good drag a hundred times now.
Man this has gotta turn into a series. This is like driving to high school all over again for me
When i was little my sister who was 10 years older shared her favorite songs eith me and most of them became my jam.
BFS-1985
Good Charlotte-The Anthem
BFS-HighSchool Never Ends
Green Day- 21guns, american idiot, etc....
All American rejects-gives you hell, dirty little secret
And lots of 80s hair metal from my dad haha
The Sleeping is one of my top 5 Bands and they just ripped from ep to last album and into Night Verses.. To see someone else love them, this is great
I still jam out to the somatic defilement on a regular basis, that whole album is just brutality in its purest, most beautiful form.
