- There are places in the Universe where you could turn to ash, freeze to death or be completely crushed by gravity. And you're about to visit them all. What conditions make some of these exoplanets so dangerous? What would happen if you set foot on them? And which planet would slash you up to bits and pieces?

What if the government actually did what they promised.
That's a story, for another, What if!

I think even what if doesn't know...

Two words Lizz truss and UK.
I love learning about all these random planets and how they’d kill me 😅 it truly is fascinating
Hello
@Chrisation who is peter

We are very thankful for your comment! 🙂
Like the “Slasher” planet !!
No matter what the video is about, I always click on What If’s videos. This channel is so awesome!

Hearing about all these almost makes black holes seem like a drop in the ocean .💎
I loved how you added 001 henry from stranger things in the upside down!
Finaly another one who noticed that
The thing that I truly find fascinating is how are scientist able to know so much about those distant planets!
From pictures lol 😂😂😂
@@Sloth6930 nope it's not that simple hun
@@homyce well let's see your explanation then
It's those satellite telescopes that's sent through space so they can able to see other types of unknown planetary discoveries not only thousands but even millions of light years away. Technology has gone far to build these type of space equipment. Especially the rovers in our Solar system that landed in the planet of Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn. So that explains how NASA can discover unknown sources of materials or clues of other planets still undiscovered in our Solar system.
@_ its mainly computer modeling using data from several different telescopes that each specialize in different ways to look at distant planets. ie different wavelengths of light, different ways of detecting a planet, different methods use, etc
we dont actually have anything powerful enough to directly image even the closest known exoplanet.
basically its a math problem where we know some, but not all, variables and can work out the ones we dont know using the ones we do.
its not an absolute science. we can make a really educated guess as to what a given planet is probably like but at present csnt say with certainty.
astronomy videos are so good never stop posting these💯💯
Thank you, we appreciate your support!
Jesus loves you ❤
This was sooo good! I love knowing about the different planets out there. Would love to see another video like this on the “most astonishing planets in the universe.”
I love it too and WHAT IF is my favorite RUclips Channel❤️☺️
What is your problem?😡😡
👍
Great 👍
Thank you for your support and for sharing your idea with us!
This is one of my most favorite Astronomy channels I have ever met. Thank you so much.
I liked this channel. It talks about astronomy too and it’s really fun. In addition to teach me astronomy, it makes me laugh. 😂. “This is What If, and here is what would happen, if ...” and “Well, that’s the story, for another What If”.
Thank you for also putting measurements in Fahrenheit and miles! I'm not great with Celsius and kilometers so it's a lot easier for me to grasp when measurements are put "both" ways.
Found the fellow American
4 years ago I subscribed to this channel when they had less than 500k .. I’m so happy they are growing ❤
I've been watching this for a long time now I love astronomy and everything else about the unknown but I love it 😁
Your videos are always amazing. I especially like pics and clips you add to make it easy to understand. It is hard work, you are amazing to do it.👍
Edit :thanks a lot for like.
@Chrisation What if Chrisation died?
Fun fact: the safest place mentioned in the video also has the highest death rate.

Such weird names for cute planets I would love to visit... well probably in the after life

2. What if Venus and Earth switiched place
3. What if dinosaurs exists now

Thank you for your comment!
Can we all agree that earth is awesome? It's like we were meant to live here ;)
Majority of these planets, I have never heard of...especially the last 2...I have always been curious how they name these very distance planets and exactly how they discover and measure this type of activity especially if most of these planets have such extreme heating temps...we wouldn't be able to get a man-made device near it to gather data...I have always wondered this...guess I need to go out on RUclips or nasa site to scratch my curiosity
Well I'm no astrophysicist but I'd reckon they use mathematics and equations thereof to make elaborate predictions. But yeah it does sound like a lot of guessing. & that's me being charitable because a lot of skeptics would just say all of this is make-believe bullsh*t made up to get people interested into astrophysics and it's related subjects. But that's a guess too at this point
Great episode!!!
This is one of the best What If video in my opinion
Really enjoyed the video ! 😄😄😄
What if you visited the galaxy's most safest planet?
Seriously though 🤣😄
Earth:Am I a joke to you?
The safest planet would have comfortable temperatures all year round, would lack any dangerous natural phenomena, dangerous fauna and flora, including dangerous microscopic lifeforms much as bacteria. The existing animals would be all strictly vegetarian, eating pulpy appendages grown by the plants especially for feeding the animals, which would eat only those, without harming the plant in any way. Everything would share a common awareness. Isaak Asimov has described such a planet in one of his "galactic history" novels, as well as in a short story. In the short story however, the visiting humans find the planet dangerous, as they run the risk of being infected by it so as to become part of its peaceful unified existence and consequently to lose their isolated personalities and so they leave in panic.
@@cidkagenou2962 yes. Yes you are.

I just wanted to ask if I can use some of the descriptions/captions mentioned in the narration of the video for my exoplanets digital artwork? Thank you!
“Let’s start with a planet which orbits not one, but two starts!”
Tatooine: allow me to introduce myself
shoutout to the cameramen for traveling to these planets & recording this footage for us :D
What if aliens be watching a video similar to this regarding Earth......
That's a story for another, What if!
Well I haven't been to any other planets... Considering the fact that 100% of human deaths occur on earth, this is the most dangerous planet yet.
Calling a surface temp of 1705° C "intense" is the biggest understatement I've heard in a while
Love what if videos
"credits to the camera man for going to all those planets truly a legend"
LOL OMG YEA LIKE- HOW'D THE CAMERA MAN SURVIVE LOL
Hi, I'm the camera man, just wanted to let you know that I am well and recovering in bed, I shall continue to reveal the secrets of the cosmos very soon, kind regards.

I love those videos bro my homies be like bro what are you watching lol
KELT 9b: is so hot that even Tungsten (world's hardest non-alloy metal) would melt
Finally found this channel. It really helps me becoz I am an astronomy student .
Imagine the fragility of human life on any of these planets and compare that with the egoes that most people have, which is ironically bigger than the universe itself, lol.
Right 😂😂😂😂
Thanks for so good content. Please, do it a Day on every planet in our solar system

Wow i learnt a lot!
I mean, how do people even know these stuff. tHESE people who go to space and find stuff really must be like super brave and smart?! Good luck to all the astronauts out there!
We have good telescopes ;)
Imagine living on a planet that rained glass like, you call your homies up and they like: where you at tho?
And you be like: O I’m on a planet where it rains glass. You kno, ordinary day.
💀
Good video, but you should’ve put in which constellation each planet is on and how far from us they are, that would be great to know 😊
What if Planet earth was alive and had human intelligence?
What if Earth had the same size or was bigger than Stephenson 2-18?, but this time every thing inside the planet is also big and can accommodate to its size.
I'm sure our point of view of the Universe would be very different.
Yes, I too would like to know how I’d die in different planets 😂
Makes me want to go there.
I'm not a big fan of astronomy, but your videos are pretty interesting.
Planet's names are literally randomly generated rated usernames
I was waiting he would mention LV-426
6:17 What a wonderful place to colonize, settle, live and terraform.
Amazing stuff... but where do you get those planets weird names from?
Imagine how did they explain this without actually going to all this planets..
exactly my question
the intro sounds like a threat
You lost me with this idea that EV is somehow environmentally friendly. Guess how they are made? Strip mining for rare earth elements like lithium while burning massive amounts of diesel fuel in mining equipment. Or better yet child slave labor in some cases.
The idea that water must exist on a planet in order for life to exist there seems odd to me. Sure, water capable of existing there means life as we know it could exist. Other planets could have a form of life that work under different properties than we understand
I love to learn about this all mysteries planets and galaxies
If want to you define how dangerous is a planet, you should consider
1. Surface (Rock, Sand, Water, Gas, Methane, Ammonia , Lava, Snow, Ice, etc)
2. Temperature
3. Orbital stability
4. Content of Atmosphere
5. Speed of wind
6. Speeds of self rotation and orbit around it's mother star(s)
7. Gravity
Remember this is only the planets WE discovered so far, so there might more dangerous planets
This was very informative, I wonder what would happen if the whole world suddenly filled up with water, would we survive?
Get yo captain crunch head ahh on bro
I'd like to thank the cameraman for all this footage..
crushed by gravity looks C R E E P Y
in short, every other planet is dangerous except Earth
I alone am the habitable one 🔥🔥💯💯
Kudos to his cameraman filming all the planets
@niceguy16 wtf are u cringe
@Chrisation gurl please i saw u on a diff comment saying that damn same thing
stupid comment.
@@b4rvyy.1 ok
@Chrisation bot
i love you guys!!!
Cryogenic sleep chamber scene from Zathura. Nice.
3:36 That’s roughly over 16,165.544 psi. Assuming an average adult elephant standing on top of an average human applies roughly 35 psi (average pressure exerted on the ground by an elephant) on said human; the atmospheric pressures felt at 3600 km down on B Cen is equivalent to having a tower of 462 average adult elephants standing on top of you.
I like how everybody knows the answer to all of those is always "you would die"...yet we still watch.
I am amazed of how big some of the planets are🤔
What would be really good and useful is if you listed all the films/shows from the clips you use in ur videos. Son look so cool but just wouldnt wouldn't known as the title is never listed. Thanks
just imagine if there is life in other planet and they think earth might be one of the dangerous planets

love the choice of upbeat music playing in the background 😂
5:23 what movie is that from?
Certified Gold!!!!!
Not to be a buzz kill, but we have no idea what the conditions are like on any exoplanets. All of the things they mention in this video are conjectures based on what we worked out from the planet's location in its star system and what we know about our own system. We don't even really have a good idea what these planets look like because all we see of them is a distortion in the light from their star as the planet passes between it and ours.
Why do these videos trigger my anxiety
ancient gods:
This planet looks huge than others lets name it King of the Gods (Jupiter)
Today''s scientist:
OGLE-2005-BLG-390LB
