Thanks Jansen. Crisp and professional presentation, factual with actual demo on type of ground where the product would be well worth it , to save yourself from possible catastrophic fall. For someone fishing types of marks that are tricky when loaded with kit, sometimes you just have to put things in perspective.
Thats a serious bit of kit , great value for money i recon, ideal for the more challenging night venues on the south wales coast , Penarth head looking good at 4000 lumens 😀 Time for an upgrade from the trusty led lenser xeo
Hello From Lapland Finland. Thanks this great video. It's light me to buy this headlamp my Guiding work and free time light, i was expect to see that 3000K low beam is one of my priority for emergencies and where ever i need warm light to see colors.. 5/5⭐video
Are you sure that was 4000LM at 18:36? That doesn't look anywhere near what the spotlight was giving out at 15:04. Even the floodlight at 17:26 looks brighter. It doesn't look close to 4000LM output at 19:12. I don't think you had both on turbo, because the turbo result looks dimmer than each light on it's own.
I can't pull the trigger on this one, the integrated/proprietary battery pack is a deal breaker. They should have just kept it the same as the HP30R, 2 standard 21700s.
@AmisCorolla I bought the hmr75 with the battery extender the torch is amazing the battery extender not it reduces the power so just get the se version and take extra battery's it for some reason the 18650s last longer than the 21700 extender I sent it back and bought this hp35r only a 150grams more ish for so much extra range and brightness plus you can just get the hp30 battery pack if you need replaceable battery's
After now owning this for several months, I've found it so big and bulky to put on, that I find myself preferring the HM65R for most applications like camping and working in the garage as it is plenty bright enough. However, I'm looking forward to using it for hunting and ice fishing .
@@jct5783 you may consider HM65R-DT for snow, ice or wet terrain. The warm white is crazy good for that. Or maybe a lamp like CL27R or 28R. Edit: i feel your pain, i bought the Acebeam K75 and its just a forgotten toy on a shelf.
@@One.man.one.leg.casting It’s actually significantly cheaper than the Petzl Duo listed on our site. We believe that for those anglers who regularly fish in potentially dangerous locations, it’s money well spent.
If it’s reliable and does all you want then I would rather be wearing that out on the low water reefs in the channel wouldn’t fancy my chances with a cheap model and packing up on me. But it’s all relevant for someone’s needs.
I was almost sold on one. But the battery is not interchangeable. I use my lights every night. Walking my dogs. The battery would only last me a few years at best. Not dropping $200 on a light. That I can't change batteries on. I ended up getting a Imalent Ht70. Supposed to hold 800 lumens. While this one supposed to hold 1,200. Which is crazy for a head lamp. I really wanted this one.
Come on don't kid yourself you know damn well you can break into that pack and get to the batteries and swap it out. There is no way that is not possible. Even though they say it's "fully sealed" they had to get batteries and assemble it somehow and that means there is a point where 2 pieces have to come together. Find that point and there you go your in.
@@Mr.Thermistor7228 I’m not paying $200 for a product. I have to borderline damage. To make functional. For $200 it better come with a lap dance. Let alone me having to put work into it. I bought the Imalent HD70 on pre order for $30. Knowing I’d have to modify for comfort. That’s fine. But $200? I’ll take my money elsewhere.
@@allenbrown8158 It’s not going to suit everyone’s pocket, but when you consider a huge number of anglers will fish with a pair of rods costing around £1,200, it puts things in to perspective. A quality head torch should be a safety consideration for anyone fishing from a potentially dangerous location after dark.
@@Dave30867 Sorry to hear that. We don’t set the price, it’s kind of the difference between a Ford and a Mercedes…. A £25.00 headlight is unlikely to be very high quality and wouldn’t stand up to hard use over a long period of time. If you’re fishing regularly at potentially dangerous locations, a good headlamp is a must for serious anglers.

great review 👍🎯thanks
Great review as always, it is expensive but could save your life one day. Really impressive bit of kit
Jansen, yet another great review albeit somewhat injurious to the wallet, but the ultimate safety tool. As always, thank you for sharing.

Hi, I'm considering buying this piece of kit. Is it possible to demonstrate using the battery pack as a power bank please?
I can't pull the trigger on this one, the integrated/proprietary battery pack is a deal breaker. They should have just kept it the same as the HP30R, 2 standard 21700s.
Exactly but ive read the the hp30r v2 battery pack fits on this model dunno if u can buy the hp30r battery pack seperate though.
That is my hold up also. Would be great if it was compatible @dandyer8351
Nice love fenix light i own a fenix hp30r thogher with 2 hm71r and a E81r and it looks like i am goin to get this hp35r.
It does look a cracking bit a kit but I much prefer a red light on the front of a head torch , my current headlamp is a ledlenser H19R core
Put a red plastic filter on
I agree, need a red light for night fishing.
Superb review. How long would the battery pack red light runtime be please?
Nice review. Looking to upgrade my Fenix HM65R which i've found to be very worth the money as with all Fenix products.
Me too, but im not sure is this the way to go, or something like hm75r with extended battery?

I probably wouldnt swap my old hp30. The lights are good and the customer service from fenix is always good.
Same
HP35R vs hp30r v 2.0 which one is the best ? 🥇
Vmo products are excellent and keeps value for year 👍,just Got some some of eBay and surprised by quality 😅
For men with long hair, would the battery pack conflict with the placement of a hairband, or be obtrusive?
That’s an obscene price for a headlamp
