Hi, the prices of Schmidt Audio Speakers really vary pending the model. The Ubiquitous V2.2 start at about $3500 USD or $4800 Canadian for a pair; Whereas the "Mini-Ubi's" are about $1635 USD - or $2199 Canadian. Schmidt now offers Transmission line speakers, speaker Isolation, & (now) it's first self powered subwoofer, the "10 Bel-low"... You can find out more at www.schmidtaudio.ca
Nice. I Have been interested in Omni-Polar speakers for quite a Bit. But it seems with my set amps I have been unable to find them that can work and be priced in my range. So then I find these. And Im down the road in Hamilton lol. Now Ive got a Brand I can’t wait to place an order with. Next year might be the year. Do you guys or would do a wood veneer if asked? Anyway glad you guys are doing it different than the mainstream. Love This.
It is possible to look into a wood finish. The corners are rounded on this design, making veneer a bit harder to do. You are always welcome to come listen to a pair, right here - at the Vintage Vibe!
facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550895641570 Right now, this is the best way to get some information and follow...Glenn, the builder, is a very talented man - I've been collaborating on some stuff with him and my guess is a webpage will soon follow.
No, that's one I have not yet. I am actually hoping I'll come across a pair so that I can. I've always thought they looked really cool. My concern with omnipolar type designs has mostly been with the lack of focus. I find that they usually sound really cool (different) at first because of the soundstage; However, I grow to miss the more directional (obviously not natural) sound that box speakers make. The Schmidt Audio omnipolar, v.1, does a good job with creating focus. The v.2 speaker (white ones in the video) really take that focus to another level. I've really enjoyed listening to them.
I like these. I had Duevel in the past and loved them. What prices are we talking about?
