    There's a saying, "Buying Yarn And Using It Are Two Different Hobbies"
    I find it to be VERY true ha.
    I also love that when someone's a crafter you can pick up on their favorite colors by the materials they buy. Even when we try to get variety, patterns tend to emerge lol.

    Suggestion for the lavender and pink top to feel comfortable wearing it: wear it over a sheer collared/ long sleeve blouse. Will give it a lovely Regency period appearance ( think: Pride & Prejudice)

    I enjoy watching your podcasts so much 🥰 through your videos I found the inspiration to pick up my knitting needles again, my grandma taught me how to knit when I was 6 years old, but then through my teenage years I got frustrated because I never knew what to knit and now I found plenty of inspiration and can't stop knitting! Thanks for your great content

    I love your podcast and watching you discover all the new to you knitting ❤️❤️❤️ It makes me so happy. One thing I wanted to mention about using the alpaca yarn is that it can have a lot of drape. It doesn’t hold its shape the way a wool or acrylic does. It’s a gorgeous fiber and sooooo incredibly soft, but it may not be best suited to knitting a top since it is 90% Suri. It would be lovely as a shawl or another accessory. It might be fine as a top too, but you want to make sure you account for the extra drape factor when you choose your pattern. ❤️

    I'm sure someone already said this but when it's difficult to pick up the whole strand of yarn it's generally called "splitting" because the yarn splits through the centre.
    Some yarns are super prone to splitting and letting us know is one of the great things for yarn bloggers to tell their audiences!!

The design is on the ‘mature’ side but I think you could put your unique flare on it with color and cropping, and probably skipping the pockets. The vids are on YT.

    dunno if anyone's already said (or if u already know???) but "tynn merinoull" means thin merino wool. (words are written together but pronounced apart.) sandnes often just name them what it literally is or can be used for, I think. I find it helpful👌🏻
    I think it's wonderful how obsessed you are with sandnes, over here (sweden) it's one of those good-quality-available-anywhere yarns and you no doubt have similar brands with same quality locally (albeit maybe not exact same colours). buying that yarn you're yearning for beats anything, I'm just saying that sandnes probably isn't one in a million unique, but you know, far away... I suppose knitting is a little different here, cuz it's cold, etc.? (also, continental>english)😅 but u guys have a rich needlecraft history too, right???

    I totally respect your decision to knit petiteknits patterns, and I think your sweaters by her are gorgeous, but I actually don't like her that much.
    I'm not a fan of selling a simple stockinette hat for 5 dollars. Or simple ribbed socks. It feels like all of her patterns are super basic (not that they can't be made to look pretty). Also, just for my personal decisions, I'm not going to spend 8 bucks on a stockinette sweater. That's a waste of my money.
    But again, yours are pretty!

    • @typicalbliss
      @typicalbliss  3 года назад +1

      I feel u, she’ll make her children sweaters in three different sizes and have them all priced the same, which seems crazy to me. I don’t mind paying becuz I think everything she makes is beautiful (and i always want to support other designers)

    • @absbsbrkdndjrb
      @absbsbrkdndjrb 3 года назад

      @@typicalbliss yeah I totally see your point. Again, I really think your sweaters are pretty, and Im not judging anyone who buys from her or anyone like her.
      It also seems like she takes a motif/design (like the Anker's tee) and makes 5+ designs just with that motif, which I think is a little lazy (though I guess do what makes you money, if it works, it works. I can't judge the hustle).
