Wonder if they fixed the major back lighting light bleed issue. The one in this video seems like it’s fixed but as far as I know it was an issue with all RGCubes on launch.
Yeah I did see that on the early ones sent out for reviews but mine has no issues so maybe they did sort it, The one I have sent by LITNXT is a retail one so what customers would receive.
Hey young lad. Good review. One thing, the emulators are not actually properly licensed so I would suggest uninstalling Anbernic's utter crap, that cannot be updated unless you bloody sideload, and installing your own properly licensed Google Play Store apps. You'll have a better experience and you'll be able to update your apps worry-free. I have the three Grey colourway RG Cube and it's a brilliant handheld with a modest amount of work done to make it so on the part of the user.
Thanks for the info and it’s good Anbernic has a few on it but much better to have the versions you can update, I will mention this in my next anbernic android powered device review 👍🏼
@@ARG I'm a retired programmer, I can assure you that it's never a "good" thing to distribute software that you don't own or have a right to freely distribute when you're selling hardware. What the hell are you on about lad?
@@STR82DVD just saying out of the box you can test it that's all and I was also a software developer for banking software before I was made medically retired so I do get it and as I said I will mention what you said about removing all the apps and adding the ones from the play store going forward.
@@ARG Sorry to hear about your forced medical retirement man. As far as Anbernics questionable business practice, all they had to do was put on copies of freely available Retroarch with their products and your gold. So just to be clear, not only is Anbernic stealing active IP in the form of game ROM files, they are also stealing the software that's necessary to interpret the ROM files in the first place. Nice. Real nice.
yeah they are not cheap but then again nothing good is cheap. Unless you wanna try your luck winning mine as I give away all the devices I test on my Patreon. This Sunday I draw the winner of the Anbernic RG35xx SP, still time to join and take part.
@@itbrahhyeah I will do one when they have something to run on it and you also need to move files over at the moment and they are removing that step to make it simpler to do it. Keep an eye out as I will be doing one 👍🏼
Cool video as always!
Great video! JP Thank you so much!!😃
I just picked one up after getting a RG35xxh. I like the RG Cube. Only thing issue is the sticks. This to me feels like a Dreamcast controller.

Looks sweet!

But for 150 bucks! 😂

I cant decide between rg 556 or rg cube
I have not tested the RG556 but the main question is what games/systems do you want to play on it?
Should have tested it with 3DS games, it should be perfect with dual screen games
yes I should have as they do run very good as the screen aspect ratio works very well with 3ds
JP have you seen the Trimui Smart Pro very cheap device.
I have, I did see a video saying its a good device and super cheap.
Xbox one exploit is fully out, awaiting the video
I was under the impression it don’t actually do anything yet as in nothing to test or load up on it.
@@ARG not sure, I can’t figure out how to run it so would be helpful having a tutorial

So far? Next week the next best one will be out LOL
yeah well I guess they would be a crap company if they just made devices worse than the one before lol could you imagine ha ha
@ARG well they some times do and many have confirmed this
@@DNAMobileGaming true, and apparently the first rug cubes had really bad screen bleed so I guess they are human after all and mistakes happen.
