This is what makes it good. I don't like new country. I usually listen to metal and classic rock but the new country all sounds the same. Garth Brooks, John Denver and even Johnny Cash is what it should be. Every genre has commercialized music, rap and metal has turned out this way. Nu Metal killed metal music. You cannot compare Slipknot to Megadeth, old Metallica, Anthrax, Sepultura, etc.
I've always said that there are some songs that should never be covered by anyone, I have to now change that thought. There are some songs that should only ever be covered by the right person or band. Excellent job on this one.
I just saw it played live for the first time. I was like, "cover Paint It Black? We'll see". This is pretty perfect though. Exact same energy and intention as the Stones. Loved it.

I am not sure how many people know this. Touring bands at this level have very good musicians. They can play just about anything. They are not limited to just being able to play the style of music of the band they are in. When you reach this level, you are a really good musician. It would be more of a surprise if this was not so good. I expected that all the bands on this album should and would be great. You could do the same thing with a bunch of Rock and Roll bands playing country songs.
