But Jesus did not pray with a Rosary or to Mary, why can't we just pray like Jesus? why add something extra that's not Biblical? What's wrong with just having a Bible, why do we have to make our own Bible out of beads?
Qwerty In the thirteenth century, Saint Dominic and Blessed Alan received the following promises from Our Lady for all those who faithfully pray the Rosary: To all those who shall pray my Rosary devoutly, I promise my special protection and great graces. Those who shall persevere in the recitation of my Rosary will receive some special grace. The Rosary will be a very powerful armor against hell; it will destroy vice, deliver from sin and dispel heresy. The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means. Those who trust themselves to me through the Rosary will not perish. Whoever recites my Rosary devoutly reflecting on the mysteries, shall never be overwhelmed by misfortune. He will not experience the anger of God nor will he perish by an unprovided death. The sinner will be converted; the just will persevere in grace and merit eternal life. Those truly devoted to my Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church. Those who are faithful to recite my Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plenitude of His graces and will share in the merits of the blessed. I will deliver promptly from purgatory souls devoted to my Rosary. True children of my Rosary will enjoy great glory in heaven. What you shall ask through my Rosary you shall obtain. To those who propagate my Rosary I promise aid in all their necessities. I have obtained from my Son that all the members of the Rosary Confraternity shall have as their intercessors, in life and in death, the entire celestial court. Those who recite my Rosary faithfully are my beloved children, the brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ. Devotion to my Rosary is a special sign of predestination.
Whoever recites "MY ROSARY" devoutly reflecting on the mysteries, shall never be overwhelmed by misfortune. He will not experience the anger of God nor will he perish by an unprovided death. The sinner will be converted; the just will persevere in grace and merit eternal life. (Mary is offering a better deal than Jesus, maybe I should take her offer?)
This man is so good. I'm an orthodox and I chose to listen to his teachings. But more than that, I'm a Christian. I don't believe anything about the schism. We are all Christians, serving the same and only God.

Jesus left us a church, NOT a bible. and this Catholic church compiled the holy writings and called it Bible. that is why if I ask you where is the word BIBLE in the Bible you will never give me an answer.
I'm a Buddhist practitioner and regularly recite with my mala (rosary). It focuses attention and brings the mind "to heel", where it can quietly contemplate on sacred verses and phrases. Repetition embeds these verses in the mind, including the subconscious mind, where they work powerfully and encourage devotion. Absolutely, rosaries are great - it's no co-incidence that almost every spiritual tradition in history has some equivalent. They are effective as reminders as perhaps no other spiritual tool can be.
Do you really believe that all non-Christians will be go to hell forever? Did you know that Muslims believe that all NON-Muslims will be condemned to eternal hellfire? And did you know that if you had been born in Pakistan or Iran or Saudi Arabia that is certainly what YOU would be believing? It is only an accident of birth that makes you believe the Christian version instead of the Muslim one.
None of this is in scripture, its as simple as that. The Bible is truth and is the true word of God. Constant try been proven over and over again. Repent and turn from your sins and let the Holy Spirit teach you truth for none of this is necessary for prayer. Read the Bible for yourself and tell me where in the word does it say to do this ? This simply states traditions made by man and that is just foolery and not pleasing to God.
@@daisyreyes3256 This is completely opposite to what Muslims believe about the Qur'an. Muslims believe that the Bible is false and that the Qur'an is the revealed word of God. Prove them wrong.
@@Nandorafaelm Yes, but that is entirely irrelevant to the points being made. The fact is that Muslims believe their holy book to be the revealed word of God, and in fact they have no evidence for this claim, just as Christians have no evidence that their bible is God's word. "But when you pray, use not vain repetitions as the heathen do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." Why not just talk to Jesus as Jesus talked to the Father? It IS wrong to pray to Mary, especially on beads like the pagans, budhists and hindus do, because yes, though she was holy, she was human. She should not be prayed to. You omit that Jesus never prayed to Mary. That is anti Christian and it makes me sick to know how many people will never see the Kingdom of God because they are blindsided by the false doctrine of the catholic church. The leaders of the catholic organization has for centuries found ways to make their laws and rules sound biblical. No. Jesus taught to pray to the Father in his name. He said to take care of the sick, widows, orphans and to love one another. All those ritualistic things and all the so called holy days of obligation is not what He wanted. I was in bondage for 30 years and fought God for 2, until my eyes were open and He freed me to see the truth. That was 40 years ago. Please, don't be brainwashed by all the non scriptural mess. Open the eyes of your heart. Know HIM. Be one with HIM. No one else can hear our prayers. We as followers of Jesus are all saints. That IS scriptural. And go and read Matthew 1:24 and truly think about it. She had other children. The bible never calls this sweet girl EVER virgin. Made up to suit the leaders. so so sad.
Jeanette Brunet you don’t understand what he meant. He said VAIN repetitions meaning not the from heart. He didn’t discourage repetitions in any way. He didn’t say don’t do repetitions because you missed out a crucial word, VAIN. You try to casually leave that out but it’s not gonna work. Jesus said do not hate your neighbor yet that’s what you did in your original comment.
Jeanette Brunet and there’s a Hail Mary for each scripture verse that is usually read in between each Hail Mary. So it’s not even repeating it because it’s basically saying a Hail Mary for each Bible verse.
Isn’t repetitious prayers bad? Answer The false type of prayer that Jesus condemns in the gospels is the heaping of “empty phrases.” Surely, no Christian would consider the Our Father or the scriptural salutation of the Hail Mary (Lk 1:28, 42) as “empty phrases,” without meaning or content. The legitimacy of repetitious prayer is obvious by its repeated example in the Bible. For example, Psalm 136 is completely structured upon the frequently repeated phrase: “His mercy endures for ever.” Repetitious prayer is also an integral part of the canticle of Daniel 3:52-88, which is built upon the constantly repeated phrase, “praise and exalt him above all forever.” Further, the angels give unceasing praise before the throne of God in the perpetual repetition, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” (Rev 4:8), in the account of Heaven in the book of Revelation. The repetitious nature of the Rosary prayer, as discussed in Chapter Seven, is a means of entering more deeply into the revealed Gospel mysteries of Jesus Christ, thus promoting Christian meditation. Far from being an empty repetitional structure, the peaceful repetition of the Hail Marys is an incarnational way of keeping the body focused on the disposition of the soul in order to penetrate the mysteries of Christian salvation. What Our Lord condemns in the Gospel passage is the “empty” repetition and quantity of words that are bereft of the attention of the mind and devotion of the heart. The Rosary is a vocal and mental prayer form that utilizes a prayerful repetition of the Gospel-based Our Father and Hail Mary. It is important to remember that every prayer form can be abused by a type of formalism that practices the external act without the proper internal intention of the heart to raise our minds and hearts to God. When the Rosary is used as an authentic form of Christian vocal prayer and meditation with the proper internal disposition of love of God, which is required for any true Christian prayer form, it is a litany-like succession of Hail Marys that in the words of Pope Paul VI, “becomes in itself an unceasing praise of Christ”1
