Let’s admit it; Coco is the best duck mama ever
I can't believe the OG Mandarin ducks are parents now!! Wow time flies :')
ya ikr they still look like babies
@Reem Ice Queen I hate Reem Ice Queen
Ppl stop hating each other 😒
So do ducks lol.
@Reem Ice Queen Why ?
Uriah’s excitement when he sees the mandarin ducks is so pure❤️
Every hatching video it seems like you help the eggs or stress the parents. Don't get me wrong I love your videos its just well leave nature to do what it does best
I agree, it really pissed me off that he went and put that hatching baby in the grass just so he could video it. That baby needed to hatch in its nest, and I'm guessing the mom jumped out of the box BECAUSE he was messing with her eggs. It just makes me sad that he is screwing with them so much, just leave them TF alone. Hatching is stressful to the mothers too, and this guy is definitely not helping.
@@hawaiicoyote1427 so don’t watch
So don’t watch. How does what he does affect your day?
Dude trust me … we have raised birds of all kids … McCall to chickens… sometime you have to help the baby… it does not stress the mother at all…in nature they are always protecting their nest from predators… it’s what they do.. if they loose an egg they are gonna move on.. it does not hurt the chick or the mother to move the eggs..also in the wild where so you think the mother lays her eggs… guess what ..GRASS?.. some people I swear…
@@georgesmith8255 are u agreeing with me?
Ducks can be really temperamental....Idk if it applies to that breed but once you move the egg they usually don’t consider it their own anymore....maybe letting it hatch on the grass made her reject it as her own and she done it herself, I hope not tho
Most birds are like that
I saw ants and maybe they were hurting the first one that hatched white because ants are know to kill chicks.
I noticed one time I went to the critter store..found out that they were selling baby Mandarin ducklings..so cute
This is truly one of the most beautiful things, life is amazing.

These ducks are gorgeous, they are my dream duck to have when I get my own farm
Those are also a common oriental brand print, those ducks. But if you want to see a really pretty one look up the one found in central park. Oh his colors are amazing and he had attracted all the normal female ducks😂
@Will Com good one
Good luck bro hope you get😊
Hi
Bumili kayo nang panibago
My grandchildren and I enjoy your videos and it teaches them where birds come from. I'm 61 and it never stops amazing me how those babies know when to hatch ... amazing

Stachli but what’s your reasoning?
I do appreciate you wanting to show everyone the hatching ducklings. I'm no expert on hatching eggs (college student who loves watching farm videos), but I sorta felt uncomfortable with you filming them while they hatch. I worry about the ducklings getting cold, them imprinting on you or the camera, and salt's baby even had a fire ant crawling over it. It just doesn't sit with me well, and I hope you're not inadvertently putting your ducklings at unnecessary risk and death. It makes me wonder if salt's baby could have inadvertently died through you exposing the duckling during its hatch.
Agreed
Agreed with you. My heart beating fast when I saw that. I was very worried. I really enjoy watching their videos but for this time made me a bit uncomfortable.
Yeah
Jake did not put the duckling in danger by watching it hatch. It's the heat of summer and mom was away from the nest during the entire hatch. He was quick to replace it before the mother returned. And that ant was a wood ant, definitely not a fire ant or Jake wouldn't have been calmly sitting so close to it!
Baby ducks and many baby birds in general hatch in the wild in many places with INSANE temperature swings. They hatch here up upstate NY in spring and we have plenty of 30-40+ degree swings from one day to another or from day to night. In late May for instance it was in the mid 90s, then exactly one week later it got down to 42 degrees. Over 50 degree change within 1 week.
Hey dude, if you feed eggs back to the birds, make sure to break them up into unrecognizable shards. Birds (probaly especially young ones) start to associate that feeding to their own eggs and start pecking at good ones.
Those ducks are gorgeous! You encouraged me to start a homestead! So far i have chickens, and a small garden but we will be adding some new birds soon, and also extend our garden!
oh nice
Same here! I'm raising our farms first meat chickens, we got ex battery hens for eggs and as of this weekend I'll have a dozen silkie eggs and 4 dozen easter egger eggs in the incubator. I'm also building raised garden beds
Introverted Misanthrope Cool! I’m hoping to hatch some Easter Eggers! And I just hatched 9 silky chicks!

this is what I had been waiting for to see the mandarin ducklings. Hopefully they all grow up healthily, please keep up! Love watching your farm vids.
This video seriously stressed me out, I was so happy to see the og eggs you got grew up and were parents but handling salts eggs, leaving them on the grass while they were still hatching was very upsetting, so sorry you lost the chick
I feel is a bad idea to leave the hatching egg on grass where soil has so much pathogens.

Definitely bad practice
Female mandarins look like a cross between doves and ducks. They’re so delicate looking and pretty
That is so sad for the white duck babies 💔
But the "brownie" ducklings babies are fine and well ❤️
ikr
RIP buttercream 😢💔(my name for the white duck baby who died inside the nest)
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I hate to say this but you guys sorta held and helped that white duckling too much no wonder it passed
Yeah, they took basically all the eggs out while it was hatching. They are accidentally making poor Salt depressed!
:(
next time, just leave the duck eggs to themselves until hatched. taking them in and out of the nest just like what we saw here will deter the normal growth.
Agreed
Agree. But Coco’s mostly developed egg/duckling was taken out and it was fine. Salt’s egg was taken out and we saw the hatching process partly because she was not sitting on them as diligently.
Yeah I was just gonna say the same. I understand that they do it for the vieuwers but you do more wrong then good if you keep mingeling with the eggs while they are hatching. And then moving the coop as well. It all causes way to much stress for an already delicate duck breed.
@@vddonck coco's eggs are fine.
@@camille8010 yeah i know that it didnt change anything hatching wise but you could see the stress it was causing. No hate just saying what I feel :) people dont have to agree ^^
I guess now we know why they call it the rarest mandarin duck because it’s so hard to hatch and get live babies. I’m really sorry for the loss that’s a little bit. But congratulations on the success of the five other ducklings …they’re so very cute!!It amazes me that they were actually able to get out of that box at such a small size❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Doesn't putting the hatching eggs out on the ground, lower the temperature of the baby duck? I love watching them hatch!
I hope you continue to stay close to Bamboo. Won't he be the one to sit on the eggs?
I'm so glad that you all show the good and the bad about raising animals. I am also glad RUclips doesn't sensor it.
My heart cannot handle ducklings swimming around it's too cute for me to handle.
Crazy how these people are freaking out and hating over you handling the ducks “and not leaving them alone for the entire hatch.” I definitely feel certain you have enough knowledge and experience hatching birds, that you know you aren’t putting them in any harm by doing what you are doing. Plus if nothing else, it is more educational to us for you to show the process of hatching so that we can see it and understand it better. I’ve been watching your channel for a few months now and I really love what you are doing. I aspire to have more cool farm animals myself, and maybe some cool ducks some day. I appreciate the good content, and want you to know that I support you 100%. Don’t listen to all of the RUclips animal police out there. Just keep doing what you do man! Keep up the good work!
Aww the littles are adorable. Sad that one clutch didnt produce.
coco did a good job the baby ducks are soo cute
Goodness... Your baby grow up so fast. I remember your wife pregnant in the emu hatching video, literally yelled by the internet about your parenting in another, and in this video your baby's already able to support his neck on his own and even walking. Wow, time flies so fast
If I was you, I would separate the ducks in couples, in separated enclosures, and I would chose the male and female, that way you would have more control over genetics. And also I wouldn't pair up the white ones, if you got them from the same breeder ( which is what I remember) there Is a really good chance that they are all sibilings or at least related.
inbreeding isnt normally a concern in ducks, so long as it doesnt reoccur more than once or twice at the most. there is however little research in the are past a third generation of sibling breeding in fowl, but there really isnt a problem for the first generation what have you
I love birds, and I love how you respect your animals. This is my favorite channel, I've learn quite a lot of things thanks to your videos.
Those ducks are so lovely. Glad at least one of clutches hatched this year.
I hate when the sad music starts playing, I already know what is about to happen and its so saaaaaad
Awww, so cute guys!!!
I am having duck eggs hatch this weekend!!!
Love your channel!!!!!
Thank you for your channel, it is so amazing and fascinating. Wonderful to watch in these stressful times we live in
I hope you guys know how cool you are...this was magical!
Isaiah was so cute he when you were walking holding him at the start of the video he was looking up at you smiling!! Adorable!!🥰
When I was a teen, I had a dog, cats, pigeons, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, quail and peacocks. A lot of care and maintenance goes into caring for your extended family; you know that. But what I remember the most was my duck, she laid 14 eggs. I came up with the idea of making a nest since the old one didn't help her. I got a rectangular box, not to big, but I filled it with sand which a patted down firmly. I made a big oval shape hole, deep enough hole but wide enough so she could sit on top of her eggs, all 14 eggs fit perfectly under her. I went everyday to check to see if she adapted well to the box, she did. She came out only to eat, drink water, stretch out a bit and back to her nest. I noticed she would move her eggs around and sat. All 14 eggs hatched,! it was beautiful to see a flock of ducklings staying close to mommy. I only wish technology was advanced back then to film it. I hope that gives you an idea for your next duck nests and send me a video of your success. Keep those videos coming.
By the way, pheasant chicks are beautiful, hope more hatch before she decides to give up the nest to attend the chicks that hatched; there's always the incubator to finish the job, just in case there are a few more.
I have always loved the mandarin ducks, so colorful yet elegant. Congrats on the new ducklings.
The photography in this is amazing.
What a roller coaster. I was amazed then surprised then disappointed and hopeful then the hatching duck ..what I'm in love how precious.
Thank you I'm on board . The family dream❤️
I was waiting for this video for so long!!!!!! Every time I went on RUclips I would be like I need the mandarin duck video!!
Loved watching! I found myself twisting and turning trying to help the duckling get out! LOL!
It will be so amazing this time next year to see them all with new babies in the new aviary.
I hope to add these soon. They look so fun and beautiful 😍
All you babies grow so fast!
even the birdies
Such a struggle to birth from an egg! Thank you for sharing this miracle with us.
Aw!! I feel bad for salt 🧂! She seemed to love that baby 🍼!!
Love watching and learning so much!
This channel is soooo relaxing to watch really helps me calm down
I feel like your editing has gotten significantly better! Im not sure what has changed but it looks more Polished love it ! :)
I was looking forward to this video !!
I have been waiting for awhile and they are so cute
I never thought I'd see a video with exotic birds other than Discovery Channel, So Kool.
Love your puppy. Love the cow and calf. Love the birds. Love the kids. LOVE the channel! 💕
What a place of wonder your farm is. I look forward to every video. We are in central Missouri and have only 9 bantams and three ducks on one acre. Along with that we have two 4’ x 8, raised beds. We watch your videos to imagine what we could have as a dream farm if we were younger.
I really love mandarins and I must say that Coco is my favorite of all the ducks. Here in Germany, we have quite a lot of wild mandarin ducks and I just saw a group of ducklings with their mother on Wednesday
Really enjoy watching all your ducks and seeing and learning bout the other birds you have, that’s so sad salt baby died
Soo cute !!! Love your RUclips channel. All the way from Canada!
They are absolutely adorable 🦆 I feel so bad for salt. 😭 Thank you for sharing and have a blessed day. 😘❤️🤗🙏🏻
Awww they r sooo precious zoomin around the coop 🥰
I can't stop crying. I know it must be hard for you as well. I just don't know if I would touch the eggs at all with my bare hands. I wish you luck and success with your bird farm.
When I see these beautiful duckies hatching I feel like I’m at Disney world
And when I saw salt looking for her duckling I pretty much sobbed
Aw that was extremely cute and at the same time sad. They're so beautiful.
Thanks for your hard work !
At the end of the day CoCo is happy to see her babies 🥰🥰🥰
Love your videos man, keep it up!
From Australia, AWESOME.
Love you guys ❤️
Happy to see that at least some of the Mandarin's hatched. Sad about the white baby not making it. Hopefully next year will be better for them.
Awwww babies and coco so cute!!!love your vids btw
Your animals and family are so beautiful, love the mandarin ducks. So sorry about the little one that didn't make it, but that's part of owning a farm. Good luck to you!
In Germany, especially Berlin, we have tons of wild living Mandarin ducks. I don’t know where they came from (people speculate that they escaped from the zoo) but they seem to handle our climate really well.
you guys are a big inspiration to me and my family
The babies are so cute
They are so cute. Poor salt, her baby would have been so beautiful. Next year I want to get mandarins because of your videos! Thanks. Good luck with the ducklings!
See how Enzo would say that knowing they aren't giving Any Temples Or Farms or Feasts or Goats Or growing anything for anyone but the burn pure pure pure pyre viking bots
And
Yaayyy I’ve been waiting for this video!
Hi pal! I must say you wrap this up well in the end. Outstanding. Let's stay strong together!
Congratulations on new Mandarin ducks
Really happy for Coco... but also bummed out for Salt... I guess that's life though 🤷
i was so hoping that Salt's babies would survive.. but glad to see that Cocoa's made it.
It was so sad about the white duckling. On the other hand, it's crazy how fast they grow! I'm glad you had some successful hatchlings and look forward to finding out their gender.
You guys should really get WOOD DUCKS they look so good with them. They all together will look gorgeous.
Chickens are so happy and well at my house...love y’all so much 🙌🏾🙌🏾😍👍🏾☺️
Thank you so much for sharing... fascinating... when mandarin/wood duck babies jump out of the nesting area to follow mom. In the wild... out of trees. Nature is Crazy and Awesome. You bring such depth to your videos for us. I really appreciate your channel. Plus ... your family is darling.
This is very on subject for this vid: i live in SoCal and recused a duckling and honestly have to thank you guys bc I knew exactly what to do based off of watching yalls stuff so thank you!! I appreciate you guys so much for sharing all your knowledge 🐥
Olivia Dunn wild ducks and domesticated ducks should be treated 100% differently though. I hope you took it to a wildlife rehabilitator. Wild ducks should have as little contact with humans as absolutely possible.
It’s so amazing to see that you have so many chickens and ducks as pets in your house🤣🤣🤣
Their so cute!!!
How sweet are those babies.
All of your animals are adorable
THEY ARE SO CUTE
Why was I not notified that my favorite RUclips channel uploaded 😂
I love watching the eggs hatch there my favourite videos along with all the others
Jake, so you plan on getting wood ducks. They do look alot like Mandarin ducks
Your dog has grown so much!!
Really amazing to see those ducklings ,cuties
*i love baby birbs!!*
Now I want a 🦆 duck!😍❤️ Thank y’all for sharing!🥰🐥🐣
So sad to see. We only had a little bit of development in one egg of my wood duck eggs. I’m happy to see how much success you had!!🙂🙂
Name the white duck snowy, snowflake, snow, or snowball
Edit: Nevermind about the names rip white baby duck
Love the new babies so cute.
I'm so sorry for the white ducks baby passing. 🙏 I'm very happy to see the other mother duck had hers and they are just beautiful!! Congrats to them and your family. Thank you for the video,.... We have became parents ourselves to 2 Moscow ducks they are beautiful and I would send pictures for you to see!!! We are from Tennessee, and I are female and male Moscow mated and had 17 eggs she was laying on and a bad storm came through and ripped or metal shed down that she was behind nesting and she had hit on us outside our fencing and needless to say we are new beginners and we are learning by the minute and so we have learned a big lesson on a lot of things that she still did not end up hatching rest of her eggs we ended up with 10 past and the 2 that survived by me hatching them for her. We have a lot to learn about our farm animals here. This was great to watch and get some great advice and ideas. Would love to know how to order or get the Mandrel.??? My name is Jennifer Bowman Hensley and my husband's is Andy Michael Hensley. If you can call or text one of us about the gorgeous baby ducks would be great!!
