Great video and thanks for bringing this to light... I feel like a fat boy in a candy store seeing the diesel is real but I have a question I did not hear. QUESTION IS ARE THEY GOING TO OFFER THE 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION ? AN IF SO BOY THAT WOULD BE SWEAT PAIRED UP WITH THAT DIESEL ENGINE...
@@kpw1010 So the 6-Speed is available with the V6 but as far as we know the Diesel will be an automatic only. Hopefully that changes!

This particular vehicle isn’t where my interest lies but it still makes me so happy to see others find a vehicle that just makes them smile. I love my 2016 JKU and that’s what works for me. Someday when I’m looking for a new Jeep, I hope I can afford a Rubicon. Maybe it’ll be a truck style or maybe it will be a wrangler style. Either way my Jeep makes me smile and I’m glad there is something for everyone. I hope you enjoy what you drive too!

I love it. The only small truck with solid axles. I wish that back up camera was in the license plate. I know guys will be making swing away tire carriers that will block that camera.

Man, I've been shopping around for a new commuter vehicle and leave my JK for camping and off-roading duties. But after getting to know the JT, I think my plans are changing. I love how complete the JT is, looks like Jeep did a really good job.

Looks a lot better than I thought it would look, I like how they said it was a truck first and jeep second. That mindset allowed them to build it to have that towing capacity

It will be awesome if they can get a Rubicon JT for near the same price as a Tacoma TRD PRO. If the Rubi JT is like the Rubi JL in the $60k’s then I’ll get the Tacoma

if Rubi JL in 60ks then Rubi JT will be in 70ks
You can get a JLU Rubicon for under 45k... so not sure where the 60k is coming from. I'm optimistic that you could get a starting level Rubicon JT for around that price (not 60k) as well.

I don't do the off road stuff. I like the flexibility the Jeep gives me as an all weather vehicle. great in the snow, on the beach, and make it look how I want. the Jeep truck would be a nice addition to my collection.

This jeep has me very excited as ive been looking for one with the towing capacities of around 7,000 pds, and the jeep offroad capabilities. Honestly this my become my second rig. Definitely the diesel version though.
When the JL came out I was hyped but got raised eyebrows a tad at the more future modern inside like it was a Land Rover. Same eyebrows almost got raised with the Gladiator BUT after watching this video with some of the specs they are exciting eyebrows! Definitely want to buy one because I love Jeeps and love midsize trucks! Thanks to XT for the awesome info scoop on the new Gladiator!

It's been a long time in the rumor mill. Glad to see it finally come to market. I think given the limitations of current regulations, FCA has done a great job with this Gladiator. Cant wait till it hits the local dealers so I can see it in person. Ryan, you did a great job. Rather get introduced to a new model by another enthusiast.
I have put a ton of $$$ into my '08 JK, but with the announcement of the diesel JT with some extras this will be my new hauler for the JK to Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. I love the fact that Jeep listens to it's loyal customers and built a very capable Truck. Thank you.
Wow. ... I am putting that on my Christmas list now. I only wish they had the diesel engine available in the first batch out. I love the torque, spot on. Great for hauling and low end crawling. This is a vehicle to use not show. Job well done JEEP !

2020 is going to be a good yr. Jeep has listened to everything that their rabid fan base has asked for. They are doing everything right. They are staying as true as they can to the heritage of old WILLY while keeping it relevant in today's market. Being
king of the hill for 77 yrs in this market is nothing short of amazing. I am proud to be a part of this community, and will hopefully be reping this logo on whatever vehicle I drive until I take my final dirt nap.
The EcoDiesel will give this rig what it has always needed; range and low end torque. I'll take a Rubicon in Destroyer Gray with the ED .... And some 35" Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws. This will be one awesome rig and they will sell like MAD!

I honestly will buy the 2020 EcoDiesel JT Rubicon as I currently have the same engine on my WK2 and it is the best engine they have as far as fuel economy and reliability goes. 80K miles now and not 1 problem. So yes, I will buy it so my wife can have the 14' WK2 Grand Cherokee. Thanks for this very informative and straight to the point video. Great editing.
