Purchased this pack about two years ago as a personal EDC/electronics pack for military use. I absolutely love this bag HOWEVER after the 9-10 month mark the shoulder straps started to tear where they attach at the top. A few months later the front bottom pocket stitching began to unravel to where the pocket is coming off. Since then I have seen no further issues and the tears have not become worse. The pack receives moderate use and continues to be used in its current condition, although I am using it more as a vehicle bag at this point. It has around 20-25lbs of gear in it and is comfortable enough to carry around all day. I'm currently looking for a replacement pack although I have considered trying to repair it because it is that good. If the stitching and material were of a higher quality and durability I would have no problem paying twice the amount for the same pack.
+Casual_Cthulhu Thank you for sharing your experiences with this pack brother. What type of gear did you have in yours? Due to size I couldn't imagine have 20lbs of gear in it. ATB - Luke
+TheOutdoorGearReview hi exelent review. im thinking of bying this pack as a school pack for son. have you tested putting books and school stuff inside? any advice on school use? thanks
+TheOutdoorGearReview The big things are a solar panel with rechargeable AA and AAA batteries along with a 15,000mAh battery pack. (Carried in the middle pocket) In the back pocket I have a liter of water in a steel canteen along with a fairly inclusive first aid kit and a dry sack with change of socks and underwater. There is also room left to carry a rolled jacket or SINCGARS Radio. I also have various cables and personal items distributed throughout.
+TheOutdoorGearReview I did end up replacing it with the Maxpedition Falcon-II, virtually the same pack but with higher quality material and a better compression system.
I'm actually really glad you wrote this. I myself have been needing to get a backpack for Misc. uses. I am very rough on backpacks and tend to carry them with heavy things when I travel. So, thanks!
I own the Red Rock LARGE Assault Pack and ABSOLUTELY love it! There aren't that many reiews on youtube and that is why I thank you for posting this video! BIG FAN! Keep up the good work!
They sell a line of these at my local surplus store, I was there looking at it yesterday. Very reasonably priced stuff! Thanks, Im glad I waited a day to watch your review, I think I'll go back and get it!
TheOutdoorGearReview I pulled the trigger on one of these today; your review was right on! What a great pack and I got it for $38. For that price, the quality is great. Perfect for EDC, pushing it on an overnighter; but it's a great idea to have multiple bags of different sizes. Thanks for the recommendation Luke; it was a good buy.
Nice light pack, would be great for day hunts where you wanted minimal gear to stay light on your feet. I also research any gear I buy super heavily before purchase and it amazes me when looking at the reviews that most negative reviews are from people who obviously did not research the product before purchase. Thanks for another great review.
Good video. A couple of years ago I purchased a Condor Compact Assualt pack it looks very much like the Red Rock. It is small but it is quite adaptable as day hike, enhanced medical kit, EDC bag for your car, etc.... It served me well. Thanks for sharing.
I just purchased this and think it will be a great one day/hiking pack and also people asking should always have other packs if you are an outdoorsman or just need a bigger pack for that extra gear depending on the situation! I have a military 3day pack with a main compartment and 2 side and 1 top pockets but most has to go into main area which can be inconvenient for fast retrieval of things but great for taking tons of extra items....Also great video Luke and you showed all the pros and cons of this bag which helps to decide if it's the bag people are looking for...keep up the great work
Luke, my man, you are my favorite gear review channel for rucks. There's a ton of channels, I like the way you do them better. It'd be cool if you did more reviews on some pouches that you put on the MOLLE ( I make full use of mine and, living in the middle of nowhere, in an isolated and rural area way up in the mountains it's the only advantage of living here. I basically run my guns and gear in full combat load ( tac vest/plate carrier, guns , gear and so on. When running guns and gear in the woods I actually carry more ammo, guns, and extra mags, meds, etc...... than what the military would typically carry because I'm a gun freak and do a lot of shooting and spend a couple/few days in the woods getting fucked up and shooting whatever guns I decided to bring). Can you do a couple reviews on some things I've been looking at? The Fox Outdoors Modular Field Pack, the Sandpiper of California Bugout Voyager Bag, Tasmanian Tiger TT Modular Pack 30 ( and the loop organizer set they seem to want you to use with it ), Camel Bak BFM, Tru Spec Elite 3 Day Backpack, and Red Rock Code Alpha Recon Pack. That's a lot, but I want another ruck ( I'm a gear junkie, gun junkie, and just plain junkie, lol ), and I like the way you do reviews a lot better. I would have bought this pack several years ago if it were bigger. I like the design, but if I want an assault pack, I'll just use the bigger and ( IMO )better APB03 that came with my ILBE ( if you look at what true assault packs are for as the military uses them, they aren't live in the wilderness, they are meant to carry ammo, meds, mags, grenades, basicaqlly shit to kill the enemy and pinkillers and stuff to patch you up if you catch a round. You put them on before you assault a building, gun emplacement, etc......., keeping your main ruck hidden at the start point,. They are also used for combat patrol, short recon missions, and the like). Anyway, great vids/channel, and great work ~ Cthulhu
Luke, I just got the Red Rock large version in woodland ditgital. it is awesome, almost as good as the filbe pack. good for short quick day hikes or a great EDC bag. Thanks for the video, keep up the good work your friend andrew
i have the same pack, but it's another brand. (Ghurka tactical) I like it very much, it has enough space for an overnight for me.( of course i attach the sleeping bag to the MOLLE webbing). Btw nice vid, keep up greetings from Hungary!
+The Outdoor Gear Review Great review, Luke. I like the basic design of these rucks ( I've seen a bunch of the same basic design with a bunch of manufacturers ) and would get a ruck like this if someone made a significantly bigger version. Even with it's size, I think I could get 72 hours or more with it via packing right, making full and wise use of the MOLLE ( attaching a couple of bigger admin pouches to it's top admin pouch ( a pouch MOLLEd onto the front of another, with both MOLLEd onto the ruck's admin pouch and same with the main and side fields of MOLLE, and the compression sacks containing my ICS tunnel tent and sleeping bag and pad bungee corded together and carrying them on the base of the ruck, could probably fit two Camel Back Crux bladders in the very back pouch [tie one to the cords, with the other riding under it, and then use the other when needed] etc....... ). I could do the same with the ILBE's APB03 assault pack and sure could with the larger ILBE Recon assault pack with packing wisely, using it's MOLLE to it's fullest. With that said, I think assault packs are generally for two reasons: 1). Their intended military purpose, i.e. carrying stuff to patch you up and kill the enemy and 2). Additional capacity for your large ruck. I have looked and looked for a larger ruck of this design and they all seem to be about the same. Do you know of a larger version of this design? Speaking of the ILBE Recon assault pack, could you do a review of that and the MOLLE Tails that seem to be part of the Recon ILBE system? Thank you, and I really like the channel, it's the best of it's kind :) BTW, have you used this ruck much and, if so, how does it hold up with years of extended use?
Great Video! I'll be picking up the Large Assault Pack. Just wish the other sizes came in the black with yellow stitching or Red and Black. Keep up the great work! The Large Assault Pack is Bigger than the 5.11 Rush 24 and almost half the price. I know my choice.
Hey Buddy, nice review on this pack especially with the price range for it. Was using Red Rock Rambler Sling Bag for my day hike short trip and it turn out not too bad as a small bag. However I will like to bring out a point for any individual who like to attach standard 1" molle pouch, those molle straps on Red Rock don't seem really work correctly for it. Cheers William
Sorry, Red Rock gear is as joke. They dont seem to realize how MOLLE webbing is supposed to be spaced at all. Get a good pack if you can afford it and stay away from this junk.
+TOGR You have to look at "assault packs" for what they are. True assault packs are a military concept made for a specific purpose (attacking an objective and killing the enemy). They aren't meant to be 3 day hiking rucks. True assault packs carry mostly extra meds (like extra morphine injectors, in case you take a round), a bunch of extra ammo, mags, grenades, some quick clot/bleed stop bandages, and that's about it,. Basically, if it can't kill the enemy (primary use), and kill pain/patch you up if wounded, it's not packed in a true assault pack. You aren't going to carrying food, extra Soffes, etc....... The configuration of this pack is excellent and someone should make these in, say, 24x14x9", keeping the features and configuration. That would be an awesome pack.
I never knew YOU did a review of this pack. I wanted one since they came out like 4 years ago. Don't know how I missed it. Do you still have it & how did it hold up long term. I only just bought it. Found an Amazon warehouse deal for $25 bucks & I'm amazed I got everything from my EDC bag into this....with room to spare. I was running the SOG Ninja which is a 5.11ish bag. Much bulkier bag. I'm really happy with this Red Rock bag. very comfortable & goes everywhere with me.
The Maxpedition is quite a bit more money.. But you get more as well.. I own a Falcon 2 and I love it.. I like the fact that the Hydration area is zippered and lined with Loop Material.. I often Carry my Firearm in there.. I also like how the Bottom is a different material that is super heavy duty.. But that said.. This looks like a great pack for the money.. I was wanting another Falcon 2 for an emergency bag.. but I think I will be getting this one instead.. .Great review.
The Maxpedition is a great pack, no doubt about it. When it comes to comparing the two, it's vital to really look at the features of each and decide if they are worth the extra money. Be well my friend. - Luke
Hey Luke, Awesome review, I've seen this video at least half a dozen times, I love how you did a size comparison, this is my first time buying a backpack online, and you did a great job showing all the features of the bag, including the velcro ties on the straps. It's been almost 8 months since you've had the bag, how is it holding up? I am fairly convinced this is the day bag I want for my EDC and other shenanigans, the hydration bladder pocket looks like it could hold my tablet fairly securely too.. I'm not much of a hiker, but it looks like it can hold everything I need, for day to day work. I have seen some negative reviews of this pack, isolated cases of poor stitching or broken zippers and the MOLLE loops being too small. I would be getting this to replace my current CaseLogic 17" Laptop bag. The dimentions are similar, but the Assault Pack looks like it expands out way more. -Dhruv
Hey Luke i was looking @ this pack & was so glad you had done a review on it. I got the larger larger one 11x20x14 now i'm lookimg for a hydration bladder & wad wondering does your shorty 3L camelback fit in the hydration pouch love the videos & have watched all your over nighters keep up the good work 👍👍
Hey Luke, I was just wondering if you still have the pack? I am strongly considering this pack over the Drago Tracker back pack. Have you ever reviewed or tested the Drago back packs? I think for the money they are almost exactly the same price as Red Rock outdoor bags. I love your reviews, they are very in depth and help me figure which bags and packs I want to buy. Thanks brother, stay safe.
Hey Luke! Really enjoyed this review. I am however on the fence between the rebel assault pack (which I assume from the specs is the same as your pack just with a different color scheme) and the red rock gear engagement pack. I will mainly use the pack for day hikes with my small children... water (lots of it), cutting tools, fire starting items, extra clothes, bandanas, etc... just very basic camp stuff. Would you recommend one over the other? Thanks in advance for your advice.
How does the stitching look? I have a maxpedition and I have to say it's built like a tank. I am interested in the pack and think it would make a great Every day pack as well as maybe a bug out bag for my wife. That price point is great.
Hey there NYCBike, the stitching is excellent. I've been running this pack for almost 100 miles now and I'm super impressed with it. Tough TOUGH. Be well my friend. - Luke

Hey Luke! Great review! Sounds like you are happy with the Red Rock brand. I am thinking of getting the Red Rock Sling Pack. Do you have any experience with those? Thanks brother! -Woody
So far I am very impressed with the Red Rock Brand. I haven't seen or had any hands on time with the sling pack though. If you get one, let me know what you think about it. - Luke
Alright Luke, I know this is a 4 yer old video but I am trying to get away from my Condor Sling bag and need something for EDC to and from work for the basics. The Condor was plenty big but I tended to fill it up with more stuff than I need on a daily basis and that weight on a sling bag SUCKED. That being said, my concern is the shoulder straps and how the fit/sit for somebody with a bigger chest and shoulders. I won't be weighing this down but I want it to sit comfortably and if the straps are too short it will ride high and uncomfortable. Whats your take on size? 5'11 245 here. Thanks.
I'm seriously considering this for a get home bag, mostly because of its size. Most the other bags are closer to 1300 cu in. I've heard some concerns about quality holding up over time, what do you think so far? P.S. great review as always. Thanks.
lizzardlife So far mine has held up really well. No issues to report at all. For a get home back, it is small and if it was me, I would go with something double the size so that I can easily carry clothing and possibly more gear. Just a thought. Be well my friend. - Luke
Luke, thanks for doing this. Recent subscriber here. I wanted to mention that the FILBE Assault Pack looks a lot like the LaPoliceGear 3 day pack. My real question though is what you feel about the 5.11 72hour bag in comparison to those listed in this video, if any?
It would be interesting to learn of the nylon count, and the webbing looks very off to me. I wonder if you can even use it. Usually the webbing is either spaced an inch apart , or its right next to each other. this makes it seem like you can't use it. Have you tried attaching molle pouches to it?
Another question, seeing that this pack is made out of 600D Polyester vs Nylon, I wonder what full experience you've had between the two materials. Nearly everything I've read (and I admit I'm a complete newbie at all of this stuff) has basically boiled down to "Cordura or go home!" Thoughts?
I've got years worth of experience with both and honestly both can be very good. Ultimately it depends on the quality of the product and the manufacturer. Also it depends on just how strong you need the material to be. Be well. - Luke
TheOutdoorGearReview Good question and response. If I'm buying a pack to carry 100L water bladder, a some tools and gear, MRE and 300-400 additional rounds of ammo - that loadout can be a bit on the heavy side. Do you think this material would give out under that load? (I have 5.11 and a couple others, just never had a pack made from polyester.) Thanks!
to be fair, according to maxpedition webpage, the Falcon II is made of 1050-Denier water and abrasion resistant light-weight ballistic nylon fabric, Teflon protected. But the Red Rock looks like a great pack for the money.
TheOutdoorGearReview that's the point. for small packs like this, the extra Deniers are not worth it imho. 44 usd for the Red Rock pack is a great deal ;)
Have you actually used the molle on that bottom front pocket? In theory it may give you a bit more layout options, but doesn't that space between the rows make alignment more difficult? Thanks for the review
Luke obviously never tried using the MOLLE webbing for attaching pouches.. the spacing is way off to actually work for attaching pouches.. just carabiners or paracord to tie shit on hobo style.. lol what a piece of garbage.
Hi there, where I order this "enhanced" model of the Assault Pack. I only can find the, I think "regular", Assault Pack. Is this the same ? It seems they just come in some different colours. I would be very happy if you got a link to an shop for me. Sorry for my bad englisch, best greetings from germany. Marco btw. you got a ton of very nice reviews. like the way you talk, and your enthusiasm. Keep on going !
hey there, want to buy the red rock rebel assault pack in red/black. i like it because it has tactical features but people won't look twice if they see me wearing it. i want to make an ddc bag for my skateboarding supplies, school, extra clothes and space for a fly fishing fly box and rod. i'd also put edc essentials like food, water (bladder), knifes, and miscellaneous edc items like tape and zipties. do you think it will okay? how much do you think it will weigh?
I was just researching for a new EDC bag. I currently use a 5.11 Triab 18. And it just isnt cutting it. We are having a baby girl within the next month or so and I need something for not only my edc but my newborn and my 7 year old daughter. Do you think this bag would accommodate all of that or is it too small? The Triab 18 is nice but it excells at nothing. thanks for the review that pack looks great!
Hey Solace, since I'm not sure what you carry on the average day I can tell you that this bag is fairly small. The 5.11 Triab 18 might actually be a bit bigger than this (based on memory). Red Rock does have a larger version of this you may want to check out. Be well. - Luke
I will compare the cubic inches then. By the time I put a small organizer in the triab ive no room for much else. What i think is better about this pack is that I have 3 seperate sections to put things in. The triab has one large space for stuff. Ill do some more comparing, where did you buy yours in that color combination? I love it. :D
nice video! hey is there anyway to get the top strap that goes across your chest tighter on the red rock pack? i have adjusted mine all the way and it is not as tight as i would like. any tricks? :)
Awsom review, a cpl years ago i dropped the cash for the falcon 2 and have really enjoyed it, BUT, i wish id shopped around a bit more. I coulda got more gear for what i spent. Also, how do i get one of those patches?
Hey Greg, I think for that purpose they would work very well. They aren't big enough to hold a blanket or anything like that but everything else, sure thing. Cheers. - Luke
I noticed the molly system appears to be less than an inch apart in between straps. Have you had any problems attaching molly accesories? Do they fit well? Apprecciate the info. :)
DFENS Sure brother. I work out 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week. I usually use free weights; chest, arms, shoulders, tri's and forearms. I also hike a good bit each week. That's pretty much it. Let me know if you have any further questions. -Luke
The Red Rock pack being demo-ed - is it the small, medium or large variant? Looking at the line or bags on Amazon, and trying to discern which one this is.
Hey Geraint, enjoy the pack my friend. As for the Berghaus, thank you for reminding me. I need to do some internet searching. ;) Take care amigo. - Luke
I have one and its a great pack. Maxpeditions are just way overpriced. I noticed all the morons who posted negative reviews due to the size as well. The construction is solid and really versatile. Highly recommend.
'Assault' is a very generalized term. Think of it as a bag that you grab and go do whatever it is that you're needing to and you can also alter it (webbing) to fit the needs of that goal. Typically Assault packs mirror authentic military gear; colors and features. - Luke
Hey there Leon, as far as I know the pack is made in the USA. Waco Texas I believe. The next time I'm working with this pack I will make sure for you. - Luke
I like your reviews but not all of us come from families with millions of dollars to spend on our needs. The Eberlestock back is about $190.00. Not a lot of money, but a person can find something that is just as efficient at a little less dough.
+bashfulbrother Word. I like Condor and Red Rock packs, they're more on the affordable side. I'm Planning on purchasing a Red Rock Assault pack for my EDC/GHB to stay in the car, then investing in a bigger bag for my 3-day pack like the Condor Assault. Cheers brother!
I have a 25ltr MilTec Molle "Multicam" version. Bought here in New Zealand. Made in Germany, not like those cheap and nasty knock off ones from China. .. Would not go anywhere without myn. Great piece of kit.
Tyler Terry I hear a lot of negative things about Mil-Tec backpacks though. I tried some of their other items and they're fine but I have tired their packs yet. - Luke
I had 2 of the mil tecs and they were pretty much worthless. Everything was ripping and breaking on the first outting. These companies with real brand names to uphold have a little better quality control to make sure higher quality packs are leaving with these brand names in them. Thanks for the suggestion.

This looks like the standard bag they make. Do you know what the "Enhanced" means in the name of this bag.
Wish I knew about this pack sooner. Looks way better than my condor compact assault pack
Great Video! I'll be picking up the Large Assault Pack. Just wish the other sizes came in the black with yellow stitching or Red and Black. Keep up the great work! The Large Assault Pack is Bigger than the 5.11 Rush 24 and almost half the price. I know my choice.
Sounds like a plan to me Patrick.
Enjoy the pack my friend.
- Luke
Great review! Most bags advertised as "Three Day" are day hike bags or ultralight overnighters.
Thanks Roses.
Take care and be well.
- Luke
Hey Buddy, nice review on this pack especially with the price range for it. Was using Red Rock Rambler Sling Bag for my day hike short trip and it turn out not too bad as a small bag. However I will like to bring out a point for any individual who like to attach standard 1" molle pouch, those molle straps on Red Rock don't seem really work correctly for it.
Cheers
William
Great review! I just decided to buy one. Thanks
Great video, thanks for sharing !Great job , Luke, oh by the way nice pillows!!
- Luke
I like my red rock pack just bought one today
Hey Luke,
Awesome review, I've seen this video at least half a dozen times, I love how you did a size comparison, this is my first time buying a backpack online, and you did a great job showing all the features of the bag, including the velcro ties on the straps.
Hay Luke Thank you for your time and wisdom
Thank you Bubba.
- Luke
- Luke
I wish you had done some sort of durability/torture test for materials quality but the video it's self is well done
Great bag, love it
I'm a little miffed that it doesn't have any covering for the zippers, which means rain gets in. Any drawstring covers available for it?
Would you recommend any of these packs as a B.O.B?? They're pretty nice
Awesome review. Ordering now!
+Rocko Enjoy brother. - Luke

- Luke
About how many liters is this pack? Thanks Luke!
Luke, thanks for doing this. Recent subscriber here. I wanted to mention that the FILBE Assault Pack looks a lot like the LaPoliceGear 3 day pack. My real question though is what you feel about the 5.11 72hour bag in comparison to those listed in this video, if any?
Hey CZ, sadly I don't have any hands on experience with the 5.11 72 hour bag.
Be well.
- Luke
I bought one of these and the the shoulder straps weren't symmetrical(off center and different lengths. You notice this at all?
Great video! For comparison, could you tell me your height & weight so I could get an idea of how the bag will fit on me?
Thanks
It would be interesting to learn of the nylon count, and the webbing looks very off to me. I wonder if you can even use it. Usually the webbing is either spaced an inch apart , or its right next to each other. this makes it seem like you can't use it. Have you tried attaching molle pouches to it?
I can confirm that molle pouches attach without issue.
- Luke
(I have 5.11 and a couple others, just never had a pack made from polyester.)
Thanks!
to be fair, according to maxpedition webpage, the Falcon II is made of 1050-Denier water and abrasion resistant light-weight ballistic nylon fabric, Teflon protected.
But the Red Rock looks like a great pack for the money.
One definitely needs to look at both packs and see if the extra cost and features are worth it for them.
Take care my friend.
- Luke
TheOutdoorGearReview
that's the point. for small packs like this, the extra Deniers are not worth it imho. 44 usd for the Red Rock pack is a great deal ;)
great review. i'm looking for a pack about this size. i've looked at both the 3V gear velox 2 pack and this one. how you compare the two?
Have you actually used the molle on that bottom front pocket? In theory it may give you a bit more layout options, but doesn't that space between the rows make alignment more difficult?
Thanks for the review
Luke obviously never tried using the MOLLE webbing for attaching pouches.. the spacing is way off to actually work for attaching pouches.. just carabiners or paracord to tie shit on hobo style.. lol what a piece of garbage.
Hi there,
where I order this "enhanced" model of the Assault Pack.
I only can find the, I think "regular", Assault Pack.
Is this the same ? It seems they just come in some different colours.
I would be very happy if you got a link to an shop for me.
Sorry for my bad englisch,
best greetings from germany.
Marco
btw. you got a ton of very nice reviews. like the way you talk, and your enthusiasm. Keep on going !
+Marco Harfold Ranger Joe's catalog has these packs in many colors. Email them and they will send you free catalogs
hey there, want to buy the red rock rebel assault pack in red/black. i like it because it has tactical features but people won't look twice if they see me wearing it. i want to make an ddc bag for my skateboarding supplies, school, extra clothes and space for a fly fishing fly box and rod. i'd also put edc essentials like food, water (bladder), knifes, and miscellaneous edc items like tape and zipties.
do you think it will okay? how much do you think it will weigh?
Great reviews thanks ..
Hey Solace,
since I'm not sure what you carry on the average day I can tell you that this bag is fairly small.
I love it. :D
Did some quick math, Rebel Assault cubic inches= 2,137.5. Triab 18= 1,960. The Rebel Assault appear to make better use of its space than the Triab 18.
nice video! hey is there anyway to get the top strap that goes across your chest tighter on the red rock pack? i have adjusted mine all the way and it is not as tight as i would like. any tricks? :)
Luke do you know if that is the small or large? thanks and happy thanksgiving! !!!!!!!!!!
Hey Luke, Just came across another great review here. Thanks man. Best Wishes to you and your family, as always. Bob
robert winchester jr Thank you Greatly Robert.
Be good my friend.
- Luke
Awsom review, a cpl years ago i dropped the cash for the falcon 2 and have really enjoyed it, BUT, i wish id shopped around a bit more. I coulda got more gear for what i spent. Also, how do i get one of those patches?
Hi , I am a huge fan of your show. Can you do a show about cooking whole chicken underground or "pit cooking"? Keep up with the great work.
Thank you my friend.
In the future I will definitely show off some cooking skills.
- Luke
I am looking to create a couple emergency bags for both our vehicles. Do you think these would have enough space for this task? Cheers, Greg
Hey Greg, I think for that purpose they would work very well. They aren't big enough to hold a blanket or anything like that but everything else, sure thing.
Cheers.
- Luke
TheOutdoorGearReview Thanks Luke!
I noticed the molly system appears to be less than an inch apart in between straps. Have you had any problems attaching molly accesories? Do they fit well? Apprecciate the info. :)
+bb bbb Not really well, It is hard to get in and out but it will stay secured.
+Intuitive Survival Thanks.
bb bbb It is a good pack. I like it. I will have to get my own instead of my brothers someday.
Can I ask you about your workout routine? We have similar body builds. What do you do just bike and curls?
DFENS Sure brother. I work out 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week. I usually use free weights; chest, arms, shoulders, tri's and forearms. I also hike a good bit each week.
That's pretty much it.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
-Luke
The Red Rock pack being demo-ed - is it the small, medium or large variant? Looking at the line or bags on Amazon, and trying to discern which one this is.
From my understanding this is the smallest one.
Be well.
- Luke
just got this bag yesterday brand new for 20 bucks😝 but was wondering the water proofing on it, like would it at least hold up in the rain
Where'd ya get it for 20?
Ross lol
Just ordered one, nice review bro... any luck looking into the legendary Berghaus pack i linked you on facebook??
Hey Geraint,
enjoy the pack my friend.
As for the Berghaus, thank you for reminding me. I need to do some internet searching. ;)
Take care amigo.
- Luke
What about the miltec assault pack?
How big is this compared to the condor assault pack?
what is the size of the bag?
is it the large one or mid or small?
good review, thanks.
Thank you my friend.
- Luke
I have one and its a great pack. Maxpeditions are just way overpriced. I noticed all the morons who posted negative reviews due to the size as well. The construction is solid and really versatile. Highly recommend.
Hahaha Leaving a negative review and admitting they didn't look at what they bought before they bought it = FAIL!
Be well.
- Luke
You should try to do an overnighter with only gear that you can fit in the pack.
Now that sounds like an awesome idea.
Might have to do that this summer.
- Luke
Im thinking about getting this backpack but i would need it to fit a notebook. will a standard notebook or binder fit in it?
You may be able to get a notebook to fit but I don't believe a binder would.
- Luke
i love the music on your videos, can you tell us who the artist is?
Forgive my ignorance, but what makes a backpack an "assault" pack?
'Assault' is a very generalized term. Think of it as a bag that you grab and go do whatever it is that you're needing to and you can also alter it (webbing) to fit the needs of that goal. Typically Assault packs mirror authentic military gear; colors and features.
- Luke
Just bought it
Awesome! Have you taken it out yet?
Be well.
- Luke
What size is this? 35L?
Review the mil tec 36l assault pack!
how is the bag holding up?
It has held up great! - Luke
TheOutdoorGearReview ....that is good news. I just bought one on amazon, can't wait to get it!
Just like the falcon...2
is this a 50L pack or a 35L?
I'm not doing well I ate a lot of rice and now my belly hurts
Is that the 18x11x11 or the 21x14x12 version?
This is the smaller version my friend.
- Luke
propper packing and thats a 2 night throw in some d rings and go minimal and maybe even 3
realy good carnt find the bag on for sayal
What size bladder(s) can it take?
+Clayton Moorhead Up to 2.5 liters
Could you please tell us what country it is made in
Hey there Leon, as far as I know the pack is made in the USA.
Red Rock mislabels their nylon webbing as MOLLE compatible
What size is that bag??? L?
Can i have this bag Luke?? Lol! :)
Sorry I haven't been listening to your vids you are awesome and you are really doing well
Your friend,
Sean williams
Thank you Sean.
Be good buddy.
- Luke
I have a 25ltr MilTec Molle "Multicam" version. Bought here in New Zealand. Made in Germany, not like those cheap and nasty knock off ones from China. .. Would not go anywhere without myn. Great piece of kit.
Dark Jedi Is a 25l pack big enough?
Dark Jedi oh ok, thanks
Mil-Tec makes the same pack for a little cheaper
Tyler Terry I hear a lot of negative things about Mil-Tec backpacks though. I tried some of their other items and they're fine but I have tired their packs yet.
- Luke
I had 2 of the mil tecs and they were pretty much worthless. Everything was ripping and breaking on the first outting. These companies with real brand names to uphold have a little better quality control to make sure higher quality packs are leaving with these brand names in them. Thanks for the suggestion.
What in the hell are you carrying that you're going to need a pack like that for 3 days?!!! Damn son, that's more like an INCH bag.
First !!
Looks like a knockoff of my Maxpedition falcon II
