Excellent to see your work again! I have a Leica D-Lux 8 on order and I am anxious to use the monochrome settings.

I love his work...but how difficult is it to make a slide show video without repeating several of the same images?

Great composition and processing- enjoyed very much but a little too much to digest in one viewing Should eliminate repeats

I love the work of Alan Schaller.
This video is too long. There are too many images. Some of the images don’t interest me. Some are either repeats of previous images or are so subtly different I can’t see see the difference between the current and previous iterations of the images. Some of the images I wish were in color. I understand Schaller is a black & white photographer.
The images I don’t like are so well done. I’d would have liked to make those images. The composition is so strong. They don’t affect me in a positive way. Then there are the bangers. Style. Composition. Angle. Exposure. Wow! There is no doubt Schaller is highly talented. What an eye. I aspired to be able to create images like his. The images are a result of his hitting the street and taking 1,000’s of images. I feel bad assessing Schaller’s work. It is like me looking at a Rembrandt or Degas and criticizing their work. They are so talented and I could never create any art that comes close to the high level of their work.
That being said, I enjoyed the 44 minutes looking at Schaller’s work. This video helps me see what my images could and should look like. Thank you Alan Schaller for creating this body of work.

Is this film? What camera and len is he using!

Most of his photographs have been shot using a Leica M Monochrome digital and the 24mm lens. Only recently he has started using the Leica M film cameras.
