- Halo Infinite's new network update has brought back some issues from older Halo games. In this video I'll show you tips on how to fix heavy aim and improve performance on Halo Infinite's new network update. So far I am loving the new network update, in so many ways it plays better than the desync era we just went through. However a lot of legacy quirks and shortcomings from older Halo games have returned with this update. Id say I prefer how things are compared to how they were. The game itself doesnt feel janky and like its falling apart anymore.

PRE UPDATE: ~12 ping, obvious desync issues, some blanks, frequent loss of aim assist.
POST UPDATE: ~20-50 ping, no desync issues, some blanks, even more frequent loss of aim assist.
Tough for me to say this update has helped in any meaningful way. It also reminded me that 343 prioritizing MMR > CSR in ranked playlists is a much bigger issue (vs networking model) for anybody who solo queues.
Ngl, it mostly feels like a big improvement when it comes to shot registration, it feels way more clean and accurate. The aiming does feel a bit more challenging at times, but so far so good.
I agree, there's quirks, but on the whole I prefer it WAY more than what we just went through the last few years

@@BBKDRAGOON One of the bugs that returned was when change an objects value it reverts back to the previous value upon closing the menu.
Yeah I absolutely hate it , feels identical to if I was playing the game through xcloud and moving on ice aim feels floaty and artificial now , literally ruins the game for me. Game feels better for Xbox but terrible for me on pc
If you plaY on PC, check uour steam controller input settings. They enabled the feature with the update, and it really needs to be off or the aiming feels really slick.
Dude the connections been insane lately I legit thought I was going crazy I shot like 20 skewer shots and the projectiles were literally repositioning themselves around players to not hit them it was like some anti aim assist type shit I’m 1600 onyx too and i can tell it’s definitely a lot worse I’m on ranked almost every night there’s a major difference

Game sagers video before the update literally fixed the game it was perfect , now the game feels absolutely terrible and artificial almost like ai is guessing where I’m going to aim or move and like I’m moving on ice , aim feels so artificial and floaty now
Overall, feels good. Been playing on laptop mouse + keyboards since the flights. I usually get 22-60 ms ping, California. I do need more time to get used to it but it does feel so much better
The audio of this video was a little strange, sounded like it was recorded at a very low volume og something, had to raise my volume up really high to hear anything 🤔
Almost there with this game
It feels worse and a lot worse when it's on a different server from what you're used to seeing. Ping seems to be all over the place and it just makes blanks, grenades, and aim feel really bad. I've gotten so used to the old network model and would rarely get blanks or desync issues. This just makes a bunch of issues pop up almost every game. My shots that I used to lead with the new bandit now are misses. The only good it has done was bring back the Halo feeling sniper and slower gameplay which ultimately will make ppl uninstall.
I'm on Series S (120fps) and I've noticed that my precision fights are a lot more predictable now. Before, Commando / Pistol / BR bullets would seemingly disappear in to the enemy, but now I can count my shouts and predict shield breaks more easily. Really enjoying it
i still have this bug (ever since cu29) where if i shoot banshee bombs, wasp rockets, or hydra rockets right after reloading or switching, it will just fire a blank and it will still consume ammo. Its made me rage A LOT
AMD GPU feels so clean! AMD is in the Xbox though
I never really had any big issues with desync, and it rarely affected me. However the new update has been great overall, and the main areas of improvement are the physics and vehicles. It feels like intractability has improved drastically and I love that. I haven't come across any big issues yet either, but I guess I'm lucky with that haha
After the update I can hardly get into a game with my fire team now. 1 out of every 5 games it seems we will all load into but the rest atleast one of us gets the "waiting to join" bug
I just played a few matches and it doesn't feel great. Enemies are rubber banding way more and I am noticing some hit registration issues. Grenades also feel horrible since they seem to be delayed on button press for the throw.
As a European player the game feels a lot worse i am usually on high ping because of being outside of the US and now the lag feels a lot more inconsistent and i get a LOT of bloodshots

The latest update made the game almost unplayable to me. The frame rate has deteriorated significantly, but more importantly, I have A LOT of stutter now.
Been loving the new update as a complete casual
what killed it for me was the lack of shot registration, and blank shots. i would sometimes get them, but now i get them all the time. 70ms the game doesn't register anything, and it sucks, i'm on PC and wired to the modem. so i know internet isn't an issue. idk what this update did, but it just ruined it for me.
I hate this game, you gotta do all this fancy shit just to make the game play correctly. Guess you’re screwed if you have an Xbox. The blank shots are back but also happen way more often now. The shot registration is beyond frustrating. Especially when you have good aim and the first shot or two doesn’t register at all. It’s worse after the update.
Was hoping this update might help make Infinite feel more like legacy with aim assist and magnetism. Nope. Still not able to adapt. MCC and this game is night and day.
It’s because they use aim tracking and the movement momentum of the players is trash
After the update make no sense playng if u live in europe..generally speaking i see that the people having good experinece before update they love the update..the people that struggles whit the net before the update now its even worse creating a bigger gap..
I feel like the people who hate the update were clearly benefiting in their gunfights from the busted original system.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I really miss Halo 5. I freaking loved that multiplayer with a passion. Haven't felt that once with infinite
I think there's definitely a good portion of players who really wish H5 had PC support. Heck I would love to go back and play it again but I've heard player population is pretty low
I found, art style aside, H5 was an acceptable direction to move Halo… lots of missing game modes, and maps could’ve been better too, more unique and innovative in their design, but solid for the most part.
The added mobility was fun and didn’t feel too out of place.

I swear Halo 5 was on PC a good while ago. I believe it was called Halo 5: Forge or something.....

The fact that people still fall for "343 Fixing Halo" makes me laugh 😂 This game is so broken even god can't fix it. 343 is just adding more duct tape

It’s laggy
The game is in the worst shape it’s ever been.. I’ve loved this since launch except for the cheating problem.. this game always ran phenomenally! After the update my ping is through the roof! At lowest it’s at 140 averaging at a 180! Before the update my ping was averaging at 34. Also my lobby wait times are way longer.👎🏼
