Asphalt Shingle Roofing Repair - Storm Damage Roof Repair
Hurricane Irma damaged this roof by blowing off an area of roofing shingles, and hip and ridge caps. We removed some of the roofing shingles to get a good tie in and then installed new asphalt shingles in their place.
We are basically reworking a section of field shingles, then installing new hip and ridge caps. At the top we reinstall hip and ridge shingles where the two hips meet at the top. The small bit of ridge we replaced involved taking the ridgevent apart and installing hip and ridge shingles under it, while replacing the few nails we took out with screws.
There was background noise in the original video so I added some different background noise and some music. Usually I like to leave the sound as that is how you follow along with what we are doing.
The battery on the video camera went out so I did not record installing the field shingles back after we cleaned up the area.
