Glad to see you react to the young rascals. One of my favorite bands. The drummer, Dino Danelli, is one the greatest of all time. Unfortunately, not too many people know about him.

Thank you so much for reaching to the Rascals. They had very much a Motown kind of sound. You looked pleasantly surprised.
Besides that, it is always good to see you!!! ❤❤

Good song and good reaction, I would suggest listening to studio versions before live versions so you have an idea of what the song is supposed to be, sometimes the audio is not very good live.

Great reaction but your first listen should be the clean studio release version!

Long time no see. This was the music of my youth which has since abandoned me. I was 16-17 when this song came out. I look at the equipment they are using and it was 'state of the art' notice no bass player. The drum kit also looks anemic. if you look at them now you sometimes have two bass drums, and more cymbals than a cuneiform tablet. I know wrong symbols, but I thought it was clever. Oh well, Felix Cavalleri had one of the best voices. Did you mention Bruce Springsteen? If you did he went on to be one of the biggest bands in the history of American Rock and Roll. Type in his name and see how prolific he was, and is.
The Beatles were just about finished as a band about now. I think they broke up finally in late 1969 or early 1970. The Rascals got caught in the huge shift of the music to Psychadelic which gave way to Hard Rock. This was the time of groups like Cream, Deep Purple, The Allman Bros. Band, Santana, Ten Years After, Grateful Dead, etc. So this kind of music had a short life, but it was so good. It hadn't become disillusioned yet so it still hopeful at it's core. But the you had The Summer Of Love in San Francisco which had at it's core people caring about each other, then the the influx of leeches and other parasites moved in the way cockroaches come into new government housing and start turning something with promise into a very bad dream. Then drugs came and really finished the job. And something that showed such hope became a horror show of addiction, thievery, taking advantage of kind people and laughing at the pain they caused.
Sorry I didn't mean to go all dark on you. It is just a shame you know. Well it's good to see you back. I'll try and limit my contact as it seems the more I write the faster people need a break. So you aren't the only one to get tired of me.

This version you are listening to is stupid. You need to put some headphones on and listen to the studio version. This is terrible. You messed it all up. It's supposedly your first time hearing it and it doesn't count
